Have you ever felt like your life is a boat drifting on the open sea,
easily shaken by every wave of emotion? Sometimes, we're so busy reacting to how we feel that we
forget, we actually have a choice. This morning, after a night of heavy rain, I woke up to a quiet
sky with just a small ray of light breaking through the clouds. Strangely, that was enough
to make my heart feel lighter. Not happiness, not excitement, just a simple thought,
a new day is here. And that was enough. That moment made me realize something.
Most of us are living under the control of our emotions. We want to be productive,
focused, in control, but the reality is often the opposite. If we feel good, we function.
If we feel bad, everything stops. We call it living by inspiration. But honestly,
it's a lack of control. It's waking up every day hoping we'll feel okay, just to get through it.
And that doesn't just affect us, it spreads to everyone around us.
One bad mood can shift an entire room, even an entire team. So I asked myself,
am I really going to live like this? Waiting every day to see what mood I get.
That's too passive. If we are responsible for our lives, this is something we have to face.
Because if we depend on our emotions, we'll never live the life we truly want.
From my experience, exhaustion comes in two forms. Physical exhaustion needs real rest.
Not scrolling on your phone, not distracting yourself, but actually resting. Let your mind
slow down. Sleep, sit still, or simply disconnect. Emotional exhaustion needs movement.
When you can't sit still with your thoughts, move your body. Go outside, walk, run,
sweat. Don't fully believe your sadness in that moment. Movement resets your system
more than you think. Sometimes, we isolate ourselves when we're sad. That's okay,
but ask yourself honestly, is it helping or making it worse? If it's not helping,
step outside. Find light. Find motion. Sadness is part of life. We can't avoid it.
But we can learn how to live with it, without letting it control us. If you rest, rest fully.
If you can't rest, move enough. Don't rest halfway. Don't be sad halfway. And don't live halfway.
Emotions are part of us, but they are not our masters. And if today feels heavy, remember,
sometimes all it takes is standing up, moving your body, and letting the sweat fall.
That alone is enough to start a change.
