Hey guys, welcome back to the channel and another episode of camping. I am here at Ngoi Ngoi campsite Pantai Negeri Sembilan. It is good to be back here. Last time I was here I was camping in a tent down there in one of the lots over there and that's the river and this time around I am trying the car camping lot. So I arrived at 3 p.m set up camp and it's 3 30 p.m right now. I'm starving, I haven't had lunch but fortunately I brought some left over from dinner last night stir-fried pasta. So I'm gonna heat this up in the pan and settle lunch. Now the real reason why I'm back here in Ngoi Ngoi campsite is firstly, number one, it's a beautiful campsite. I mean you've got sounds of forest, you've got a river running by and it feels like you are deep in the jungle when you're actually not. So I love it here and the second reason which is the main reason today is because I am here to test out a gadget. This is Nitecore EMR10 electronic multi-purpose repeller. This is the box and so essentially this is a mosquito repeller and I know this is a good place to test this gadget because I've been here twice in the past and I know that there's a lot of mosquitoes here and they are brutal absolutely no mercy and the last time I mean both times I was here in the past I was totally crucified by the mosquitoes. So here I am back here again to test this mosquito repellent. So the Nitecore EMR10 repeller comes in this box. Portable electronic multi-purpose repeller. This is where it was and I have already started using it when I arrived at camp just now. Along with that they've got a cable with a USB-C port and of course this is the manual and with this they have provided 10 mosquito repellent mats and once you've opened it it looks like this. This is one which I have opened and I've used it when I first arrived at camp. First look it is quite sturdy, very solid, feels great in your hands. It's got a very rugged exterior. It's got a clip here to clip onto your bag or your pocket or your belt and it's got this protective cage that detaches quite easily and the main reason is to protect you from the heat from the heating mechanism here and this weighs 150 grams. Now how does this work? Now basically there are two mechanisms. The first one is by using this mosquito repellent mat. So once you remove this protective cage just pick a mat and slide it right in. Leave it there and put the cage back on. So what happens is that the mat gets activated only when heated and then it turns into mist and infuses the air around you and this creates a protection zone in the whole area around you. So essentially this is supposed to repel mosquitoes. In Malay we call agas and various other insects. To activate the repellent mat mode just turn this on. There is a display screen over here. It doesn't look like that actually. This is just what the camera perceives. But anyways I like how realistic it is by telling us how many hours is left instead of how many percent of the battery is left. So the second mechanism is ultrasonic frequency and this can be turned on with this button. So what this ultrasonic frequency does is that it gives out 25 to 40 kilohertz of frequency which is not perceivable by humans but it is perceived by animals like rats, skunks, squirrels, raccoons and even snakes. So right now it is turned on and I actually don't hear a thing but I think to these animals this ultrasonic frequency is not comfortable so it drives them away. So right now I've got the mosquito repelling mode turned on and over here it is indoor mode. Now indoor mode means I have a protection zone of about 11 feet radius and by clicking it one more time you get the outdoor mode which is a larger radius which is 16 feet radius protection zone and as you can see here the duration is also less because of the larger radius. Five hours and 10 hours for indoor mode and you can also use both modes at the same time. So right now I have this turned on as well. This is the ultrasonic frequency and for this we also have indoor mode and outdoor mode. Okay so to actually open it you gotta unlock it. All right we've got two high performance rechargeable batteries and each of these is a 5,000 mAh so that's a total of 10,000 mAh. It's got a 12-hour maximum run time and this is rechargeable via a USB-C port and also this doubles as a power bank as well but you will have to use USB-C to USB-C. Yep it's got 10,000 mAh here. So you can use this electronic repeller for various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, hunting, fishing or even just gardening in your backyard and I really like the concept of this because if you have this whenever you go outdoors you just need to carry this and you no longer have to bring mosquito coils or spray your whole body with repellent spray or ointment because all of this essentially is a lot of chemicals and also you don't have to take too much time making a fire to drive off mosquitoes and especially for people who are sensitive to smoke I think this can be really good. Now I'm not going to go deep into the specifics and the technicalities of this product. I think my college journey has done a fantastic review on this product so I'll link this video down there and you guys can go check this video out and what I'm going to do today in this video is to really put this to the test because I know there are a lot of mosquitoes in this campsite. Let's see how it performs. So the Nitecore EMR10 also has got its custom-made pouch. You can clip it to your bag or even sling it over your body and if you ever run out of the repellent mats you can also buy the refill. This one has got 30 pieces per box all from Nitecore. Now I gotta be honest with you guys this thing is not cheap currently in Malaysia at the time of filming this is selling at a price of over 400 ringgit so yeah that's quite a lot of money for a small gadget like this but if this really works it can potentially be a game changer and a good investment. So before you throw your heart and money in buying this gadget let me test it out for you. So early on when I first arrived at the campsite I was immediately attacked by mosquitoes and so I turned this on and just clip it on my belt and I think within five to ten minutes the mosquitoes just stopped bothering me but yeah this test is not over yet I am gonna go for a walk now around the campsite and bring this with me and later on I think during the golden hour the peak hour of mosquitoes which is about 6 to 7 p.m I'll put it to the test once again and see how this thing there are two trees that fell into the water I don't know when it happened probably last month when it rained a lot something just ran away I don't know what it was but um yeah something just ran away from me I've been walking for 15 minutes now I'm glad to report that the mosquito count is zero even I can't believe it I remember the last two times I was here I was brutally attacked by mosquitoes so pretty impressed with the nightcore emr10 so far whoop there is one mosquito that just landed on my wrist so that brings to the mosquito count of one it is 6 p.m at the moment I am back at camp and I can clearly see mosquitoes flying around but so far I've gotten just one bite over here yeah so just one bite oh the water is so inviting I am going for a dip it is 7 in the evening now and I can see a lot of mosquitoes just flying around it's crazy and um no bite so far but I did have a huge mosquito landing on my forearm a few minutes ago so yeah I guess this works to a certain extent I'm gonna keep it on I brought some chicken filet from home marinated with salt pepper paprika chili powder and Kaijun seasoning and I'm going to make lettuce wrap chicken oh boy smells divine and with the chicken of course we have to have a charred and slightly caramelized onions and garlic dinner is served I've got chicken pan-fried chicken over here cherry tomatoes caramelized onions and garlic and romaine lettuce bon appetit thankful for shelter still got five hours left yeah that should be sufficient to last till maybe 3 4 a.m pleased to report that after six hours of using this I have a grand total of one mosquito bite and one mosquito landing on my hand and then it flew away so I guess this thing actually works to a certain extent but I personally think it's pretty good okay let's call it a night see you guys in the morning morning it rained last night I slept from 10 p.m to 8 a.m this morning and this is probably not important and you guys probably wouldn't care but I have a new cup this is a cup made of black walnut wood from naturehike after using this for the first time I realized that drinking coffee from a wooden cup makes it so much better I got this from Vita Aura Ventures along with this I got a black walnut wooden plate from naturehike as well I even got this propane gas from Vita Aura Ventures I would say Vita Aura Ventures is a camping store by the way in Negeri Sembilan Serampan Negeri Sembilan and I would say it's almost like a one-stop solution for all your camping needs I'm just gonna enjoy this coffee and then I'll make breakfast priorities I just love watching this morning scene from the moment the sun came up as it gradually rises and rises it's casting this beautiful golden ray over the trees over the leaves and the colors the colors on these leaves and plants and trees are ever-changing and as they rustle and gently dance with the with this gentle breeze it's almost like watching a beautiful dance performance by the way I managed to charge it overnight so this is still by my side no mosquito bites beautiful weather and I'm going for a walk the campsite owner is gonna take me on a short walk which I have previously done before but this time around because the water is much clearer than before we're just gonna go on the same trail just walk upstream check out what beauty it has to offer into the water because the water is too inviting so I'm gonna end the video here today so
