My amazing 11th day in South Korea began with breakfast as Sam and I headed out to Kimbap Cheonguk to enjoy a typical Korean breakfast that includes a juicy pork cutlet. Then, join us as we head up to Seoul Tower to get some epic views of the city!

Gimbap Cheonguk is a popular chain of restaurants in Korea. They serve classic Korean dishes including mandu, meats, and gimbap. They’re also inexpensive and the dishes are available at all times of the day.

We ordered some steamed kimchi mandu (dumplings), cold mixed veg, kimchi, a Korean pancake, yellow radish, an omelet with vegetables, and a pork cutlet with a reddish brown sauce on top with rice and cabbage. I was so hungry and couldn’t wait to dive in!

I started with the omelet. It was so good! Then I tackled the mixed veg. Korean veggies are always great, and these were crunchy, moist, and super fresh. They had a nice kick, too. I love that they throw in a little bit of spice!

The yellow radish was a nice, crunchy palate cleanser, while the leek pancake was very savory and so delicious! I could feel my lips starting to tingle!

The kimchi was next. It was coated in a red chili paste that made it really spicy and flavorful. I love this dish! Then I went with the steamed kimchi mandu, which were beautiful! There was a lot of kimchi inside. It was hot, and I loved how the dough was thin and steamed. It was my favorite dumpling of all time!

I sampled the sauce on top of the pork cutlet, which was amazing! Then I dug into the cutlet, which was nice and crispy and had me in Korean food heaven! The sauce was sweet, almost like a marmalade, and paired perfectly with the cutlet. It was super filling and so tasty! The portion size was also huge!

Then it was Sam’s turn to try. He loved the tangy sauce on top of the tender cutlet!

After breakfast, we took a taxi up a hill to get to Seoul Tower. It’s located in Namsan Park. You can take a cable car to the top if you want, but you have to specify that to the taxi driver. Otherwise, they’ll drop you off in the park. We decided to walk the rest of the way to the tower and take the cable car down.

It was a bit of a hike, but it wasn’t that bad. There are resting areas along the way if you get tired, because it is a little steep. We walked fast because we wanted to hurry up and get there. I loved the greenery around; there was so much oxygen in the air!

We reached a viewpoint where we got amazing views of Seoul. Namsan Park is a huge area of greenery, on a mountain, right in the middle of the city. It’s unreal, and the view of the city reminded me of Beverly Hills!

We reached another viewpoint, which offered amazing views of skyscrapers, more greenery, and traditional houses. I could also see some churches!

After a 20-minute hike, we reached Seoul Tower. The first floor is retail space and a ticket office. It costs 10,000 won/$8.33 U.S. for adults and 8,000 won/$6.66 U.S. for kids. You have to go to the 5th floor to take a second elevator to the top.

We passed more retail and cafes on our way to the second elevator. At the top, we were 236 meters above Seoul! The views were breathtaking. I loved the greenery and mountains. I could also see Lotte World Tower and the Han River. Seeing a city from above really changes your perspective of it and gives you a feel for what the city is all about.

We took the elevator down. There are lots of love locks along the path to the Namsan Cable Car, which cost 7,000 won/$5.83 U.S. per person for one way. After 3 minutes, we were back on the ground!

What an epic morning! I hope you enjoyed coming with us to breakfast and Seoul Tower. If you did, please give this video a thumbs up, leave me a comment, and please subscribe so you don’t miss any of my travel/food adventures!
