On todays vlog Nivine wanted to go to Super King for one thing… specific almonds to send to her dad.
We also somehow left with the weirdest, most questionable fruits we could find and turned it into a full taste test. Some tasted amazing. Some… should never be eaten again.

What's this?
This is a radish.
What'd I take to bed?
Guys, what's up? Welcome to the video.
We hope you're doing so good.
Monday here.
We are running around.
It's Tuesday.
Tuesday here.
We're running over to Super King today.
Naveen's dad lives in another state.
Our dad.
Jumbo!
And he is craving almonds.
What are they?
They're fresh almonds.
Naveen's dad can't get his hands on these fresh almonds.
They're, what are they?
Natural almonds?
It's almonds before they're almonds.
That's what you're watching on this channel.
Stars before they're stars.
Yeah.
Huge YouTubers before they're YouTubers.
Basically imagine like a grape on a vine,
but it's an almond with a casing on it.
And they only come in season a couple times a year.
Because after, what happens to them, Jason?
They turn into almonds.
Writers Guild of America.
Got a check.
Haven't been a staff writer on a television show for a long time.
This was probably for my work on Crash and Bernstein,
which was a talking puppet show with a kid.
Think of us.
How much do you think it's?
Okay.
27.
$27?
Yeah.
Okay.
I have, I'm better at guessing than you
just because I've seen the checks over the years.
I'm gonna say $4.
Really?
What is it?
$12.91.
Take me to Super King.
Try saying please or I will take you off a cliff.
Jason.
We're pulling in to the foreign parents Mecca.
Super King.
This is one of the, there's two things.
This isn't the almond.
This is the sour plum.
We walk in and it's the first thing we found.
Do you know about walnuts?
You go like this.
Yeah.
For basically every day for like a couple hours.
This eventually turns into jade.
What's jade?
It's like a precious metal.
If I sit like this.
Yeah, yeah.
You can watch like it's, it's the craziest thing.
You can get a pound of it if you want.
You can measure it here.
You can tell what a pound is.
You can?
Let's test it.
You can, you can tell what a pound is.
This is a half a pound.
Boom.
That's good.
I love you.
I love when you're right.
It's so rare.
Oh, that's funny.
We're shooting a skit today.
So we're trying to find stuff to fall out of my pants.
This is.
Oh, no, Cheryl.
It's not my fault.
I just want to put on my pants,
go to a party and not get stared at by some gross girl.
Melon bitter.
It's like a cucumber.
What the hell?
That's kind of funny because it looks like wood.
Oh, it's like when you get those taro chips.
So if you could slice this,
you could put them in the oven.
You put a little oil on them.
We came to get them for her dad.
He lives in Georgia and wants us to send them to him.
They just got here.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, he's been calling them.
He has?
He's been calling.
Guys, what's up?
We're back at the house now.
And we picked up a bunch of interesting things
at Super King that I wouldn't see at a regular market.
We've got a Korean radish here.
Dragon fruit.
I'll be honest.
I always get it.
It's already kind of plastic.
Yeah, so we're going to cut that open.
We love jicama here.
I like to have jicama right before dinner when I'm cooking.
If I'm really hungry, I'll have some jicama
so I don't eat like chips or anything.
That is a daikon.
Daikon radish.
What's this?
Melon.
This is a bitter melon.
Wow, chat GPT is really good.
My chat GPT says this is a viral moment for you.
Jason is going to hate this one.
The chat GPT thinks they know me.
They don't know me.
That is a yucca.
Oh, yucca.
Yucca.
Yucca kind of gross.
So if you don't cook this, it's poisonous.
Yeah, and they told me don't even do that as a joke with you because you'll die.
And obviously the cherimoya is what everyone's been talking about.
It is the greatest fruit.
No, you're supposed to do that one at the end.
Oh, okay.
Damn.
Cherimoya at the end.
All right, we'll do dragon fruit.
Wow, that is beautiful.
That's really nice.
Oh my god.
You're not a big fruit person.
I love fruit.
I just really don't like dragon fruit.
You know what?
I don't like it either.
Is it supposed to be sweeter than that?
It's not bad.
Guys, dragon fruit is so out in 2026.
Tastes fine.
It's the same as mine.
The same?
Yeah.
This is quince, which is a form of pear.
Let's do that.
If you have cheese and stuff, I've seen quince paste.
Almost like a mango.
What's it like?
Not bad.
So this is a chayote.
This is a chayote.
That's what this is.
You peel, slice, eat raw.
It's crunchy like a cucumber or you can cook it like a squash.
Slightly sweet, watery.
Chayote.
I said that you're going to say this.
So I got my family across the border.
In this one, you're going to say it tastes like nothing.
Yeah, it's like, um, like it consists of a cucumber.
And none of this will kill me, right?
I'm actually digging this.
You are?
Yeah.
Like this would be good sliced.
Yeah.
Let's take a cucumber with more meat.
Now, Naveen loves radishes.
Very big in her country.
Holy cow.
That's nice.
I love it.
But like, what do you do with it?
So I'm glad you asked.
You're going to dice it and then you're going to add vinegar, sugar, and salt.
And then you can put Korean fried chicken or you can make beef radish soup.
It gets super soft when it's, um, when you like heat it up.
That's fantastic.
Yeah, I love that.
Okay, radish.
Give Korean radish chayote.
All right, here's the bitter melon.
Like a cucumber.
And I won't eat the seed, okay?
Awful.
Really?
Can I smell it?
Were you ever a kid and you like...
Eat a plant?
Yeah.
Was that what you were going to say?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Bitter melon, what do you do with it?
Terrible.
You cook it.
You cook it?
Yeah.
So for what?
Uh, for someone you dislike.
Check out jicama.
Now, jicama, I love.
Jicama's the best.
It's the best.
I'm trying to find you a peeler.
You have to peel it, but...
I like how it looks.
Naveen puts salt on all her veggies.
If I serve her cucumbers, she'll be like, no salt?
It's crazy to serve someone cucumbers without salt.
That's amazing.
This is great on your salad.
Guys, I don't know if you're like...
You're like me.
You're kind of addicted to the crunch.
And jicama gives you such a nice crunch.
That's why I love water chestnuts.
Oh, it is good with a little salt.
Can I try it with salt?
Okay, so so far, Korean radish, yes.
Pickle, yes.
Dragon fruit, no.
Coins, no.
Peyote's okay.
I'm so excited for you to try this one,
because this is what they make...
You can make vanilla pudding with this.
With cherimoya?
Yeah.
Wow.
What's this?
This is a radish.
What'd I take to bet?
You have to peel...
This is daikon.
Daikon.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Daikon.
You have to peel it.
Cuts really easily.
Oh, you're going to put it in there?
Shifu, you cut your finger last time.
No, I know, I know.
But I know why I cut my fingers.
Okay, so now I've peeled it.
Pretty nice.
It's kind of like a cucumber.
Nice.
For just $10.99, you can slice and dice anything you want.
I'm not only going to include the dicer,
I'm also going to include the Hemlock blender.
Boom!
Oh, that's good.
That kind of teaches you something like the size of something.
That's nice.
It kind of affects how much you like it.
The great thing about this, too,
is you can change the shape and the size right here on this dial.
Shifu, this is good.
That's the best thing we've had so far.
I'm having issues with salt.
Look at me, I'm eating all of it.
That's great.
Okay, that's good.
And you can make kimchi out of it.
All right, this is taro root.
We get taro chips sometimes in a bag.
Oh, like in a restaurant.
Yeah, sometimes in a restaurant.
There's a restaurant we go to and they serve taro chips
and it's really good and they serve it with guacamole.
It's not a potato chip, which is obviously much more fattening.
Okay, it's cutting pretty well, actually.
Nice work on the radish.
You are a little radish.
You want the same shape?
Sure.
Or you want it in a different shape?
No, then that.
Keep that shape.
Oh, that's nice.
Coming out kind of...
Maybe it's too thin?
No, no, that's how it should be.
I guess you would put these in the oven.
Oil and salt and then...
Air fry them.
Oh, and air fry them.
It's not the same as when they have salt and oil on them.
Right.
But the texture's good.
And I'll tell you, it's better than a potato.
Eggplant's nice.
Japanese eggplant's nice with a little
soy sauce on it, miso on it.
Really nice.
Miso what?
Miso honey.
All right, our final fruit is the cherimoya.
Let's look at it.
It's got all kinds of divots on it.
And it's just a beautiful fruit.
It's the best tasting fruit in all of mankind is what people say.
It looks like a little fish.
It's like a strawberry, a banana, a everything.
I believe you scoop it.
Is it scoopable?
It's not ripe, is it?
Okay, guys.
Well, unfortunately, this one's not ripe.
There you go.
There it is.
I'll try it.
Is it supposed to be creamy in the middle?
Yeah.
No, it's not ripe.
It's got the cherimoya.
Dang.
That's okay.
What's it taste like?
It has potential.
If it was ripe, it tastes like playing dice.
Like what?
Like playing dice.
Airplane ice?
No, like dice.
Oh, don't eat it, don't eat it.
All right, well, there you go.
There's some new fruits for you guys.
We hope you guys are doing good.
All right, guys.
We love you so much.
We will see you tomorrow for a new video.
All right.
Bye, guys.
Bye.
Thank you.
Thank you, guys.
Lovely.
My God, man.
