Hi Mashable India, welcome to my home.
So welcome to my sanctuary. This is my safe space, my humble abode and yeah these are my two
munchkins. Ollie you want to say hi? Sorry he's busy getting his new toy. So that's Murphy and
this one's Ollie and yeah this is where we live. This is our home. This is my living area
where I chill a lot. I'm usually with my dogs here watching TV. Me and my mom
spend a lot of time here. The good thing about this couch is that you literally
sink in like look at this. It's really really cozy and yeah I really love to take naps here
although I'm not a nap type of a person but because this couch is so comfy and so soft
that you just can't help but take a nap and all of my friends do ask me about how is this so
comfortable and it's just this couch that I actually got made and I was quite particular
about the cushioning that is used for this and also the fabric has been imported from Turkey.
Okay so this is my dining area. So the amusing thing about this dining table
is that it doesn't have four legs, it actually has three legs. Small things in the house just
bring a little bit of character and I'm all about quirk. I'm all about having
things a little teeny-meany bit different. So the dining chairs are also wooden but we have
a little bit of a rattan material inside these and you'll see the house has a lot of different
themes all across but the one thing that we have kind of followed all along is arches. So even if
you see that the shape is in the form of an arch and yeah we've kind of brought the whole space
together and blended in all the themes in the living area and once you see the other spaces
you'll be able to tell better. I definitely want to talk about my precious, precious crockery.
Every time something gets broken from here it's almost like my heart breaks like about 500 times
because these are some collectibles that I've had over the years from the places I have traveled
and just just picked up these things over the years from really small stores homegrown brands
and I really really this is my this is my precious, precious crockery unit and yeah let me show you
some of the pieces. So when you want to put a hot spatula this is what comes to use and then we have
this of course my mother's majorly into miniatures and as you can see there's a lot of things that
you'll find in our refrigerator and she somehow collects all these miniatures from god knows where
we have these miniatures all around the house and you will see it when we move on from here.
So this is my kitchen we basically have checkered black and white tiles and we have a checkered
sink as well which was basically a theme that I literally picked up from one of my mother's
paintings and that's how the inspiration came to me. This is my matcha corner where basically
every morning I get up and I make matcha and I'm not saying this because I know it's a big debate
on the internet that matcha tastes like grass well you've not tried the matcha at my house.
I just I honestly love the detail with which craftsmen make this and it's just so cute I almost
sometimes feel like when I'm at a store with cute things as if they're inviting me to purchase them
and bring them home because this is their home and this is of course my matcha corner where I have
my matcha setup because your girl is quite organized like that. Okay so this is my mom's take on what
our kitchen looks like so she's a lot into this kind of an art form where she basically does a
lot of animated stuff and yeah this is a her take on how the kitchen has turned out to be.
These are all the places that I have traveled to and again this is my these are my prized possessions
because it just brings back so many memories over the years it still feels like a dream that
I have been fortunate enough to go to so many places and it's just a good reminder to come here
every day to grab water and just have a look at all of this and this is something I actually did
see in Alia Bhatt's YouTube video I think and I did my research and I got this it's not done to
the tee right now but it's basically a lot of dishes that I set up according to the day and
the time when I want to eat them so it's just easier for my cook to kind of know what I want
to eat when and the menu is just set for the entire week. I haven't done this in very long so
it's kind of messed up. Okay so now I'm taking you to a very special corner of the house
it's our Mandir. It's been with me since I was born and my mom got this designed and made
right around my birth everything that I have is because of God and yeah and let me take you to the
I do get to see the sea a little bit and yeah this is where I usually spend a lot of my time
so that's basically where me and Murphy and Ollie kind of chill and see the sun setting every day
and it's really peaceful, really beautiful and I feel so grateful every time I sit here and just
think about my day and I really do a lot of work actually in this chair because my iPad's here with
me and I'm planning a lot of things, writing, reading a lot of my scripts and mostly preparing
here because it's just a separate space from my home which just kind of transports me
to a different dimension in my head and it's really special
so this is my passage which basically takes you to my side of the house so let me take you in
I did this door just because I liked the whole again there's an arch here and this door is
supposed to be inspired by somewhere in London where I saw this kind of a door and I fell in
love I instantly was like I need to do this in my house and this is the passage which sort of has
a Parisian vibe and yeah these lights this light specifically I got this from a furniture store in
town I guess so this is one of my favorite colors and that's why I did this striped painted passage
because I feel like I always wanted to have a statement corridor in my house and I think
I did it right okay so this is my paradise I like to call it my glam room and this is where
I basically get ready this is my vanity area where all of the glam stuff happens
now let me take you to my bedroom okay so this is my bedroom
before we get into it I want to tell you the theme of this room is just teda mera because that's how
my personality is at times so if you can see the lamp has a teda mera design the entryway has a
teda mera design and again the one thing we follow arches so that's always there and as you enter
we have some of my favorite favorite favorite movies and shows that I've put in really colorful
frames here I can watch these shows and movies maybe like 50 times so yeah that's my bed which
again is teda mera teda mera teda mera that's my projector unit which is again teda mera from the
side and again we follow arches so I have a projector and this is the screen for that projector
and I have a surround sound system because I feel like when you're an actor you need to watch a lot
of movies and honestly it's just an excuse to be able to have cozy movie nights here in my room
and I've always had this setup since about seven eight years now I love the fact that water is
visible from my room because it just instantly kind of puts me in a better mood when I wake up
and look outside my window and there's this beautiful water but I really really love it
and yes continuing our teda mera-ness this is my teda mera mirror okay so we're going to show you
something that we do for Murphy that's Murphy's ramp where he comes up and he gets his treat
so this is Murphy's ramp and Murphy will show you his own bedroom right now
because Murphy has his own little bedroom Murphy would you like to show your room
would you like to show your room okay so maybe he's chilling with his friends right now
he has his bedroom inside my bed uh so yeah we shouldn't disturb him okay so this is my bathroom
where basically I do my skin care and these are some of my gym sets and these are some of my night
so this is my mom and my nani's room welcome welcome welcome to my room
okay so she's done all kinds of artwork she's supremely talented and of course she has more
and more miniatures here I think this is sort of a billionaire hobby but I think my mom forgot
about the billionaire part she just is following the hobby but yeah these are some of her collectibles
that she's put together very cutely these are her medals that she has won over the years because
she is actually a sports person and she was a national level uh table tennis player and yes
she plays mind games with me but she's a good sports person on the field I guess because she
plays cricket table tennis badminton the whole society is raving about her so yeah that's my
this is her canvas corner where she basically paints her canvases and this comes down and has
all of her paints and she can adjust the level of which she wants to paint on and this is my study
table this was taken when Aditi was not even born wow to make us study yes okay so that was my mom's
and with that I think it's time to say bye but thank you Mashable India for coming to my home
I really hope you guys watched this video and enjoyed it I have designed this space with a lot
of heart and hard work so I hope you guys like it and yes I think it's time to say bye now because
I gotta go and work so that I can build a bigger and more beautiful space than this
thank you Mashable India see you soon again bye
