A regional state of emergency has been declared in cities and districts of Dagestan. The decree was signed by the head of the republic, Sergei Melikov. His press service announced this via Telegram. It should be noted that the state of emergency is in effect in the districts of Makhachkala, Buynaksk, Dagestanskiye Ogni, Kaspiysk, Khasavyurt, Derbent, Karabudakhkent, and Khasavyurt. Heavy rains and storms in the republic have resulted in flooding of residential buildings and energy facilities, power outages, landslides, rockfalls, and damage to roads and bridges.
