11 a.m. Haitian Food Brunch in Miami, Florida!!
In Miami’s Little Haiti, I joined my friends Chef Jason Peru and Candice Mohan for an unforgettable Haitian feast at Naomi’s Garden. After meeting the owner, Noam, we toured the kitchen, where epis-marinated chicken, oxtail, legumes, mayi kolé, and baked macaroni were all in the works. We filled our plates with tender jerk chicken, rich oxtail, creamy spinach stew, spicy cabbage salad, fried plantains, baked chicken epis, and hearty mayi kolé, plus spaghetti with sausage and crispy fried grouper topped with fiery pikliz. Huge portions, bold flavors, and a vibrant garden setting made this a true Miami gem.
