Kids, right?
That was solid!
Welcome to Ranch 54, two stroke week.
Woke up to a video of Racin' Kyler
on her skiddy, prepping a line
into a lake. So, I think we've got
Tyler over here, he brought his
snowmobile, and maybe we're
going to try to go across the pond today. Should be pretty fun.
But the main event today is
Combover Steve versus our very own
Racin' Kyler, the only girl
to race in the boys class and beat him
last year at Loretta Lynn's National Championships.
Racin', how are you feeling about
your odds against Combover Steve?
I think I'm going to smoke him.
Confidence is high! Good luck, Steve!
Maybe on a ramp, and someone's like
Oh, Combover Steve should flip. Combover's like
Eh, I'd do it.
I'm like, okay. There's a ramp.
There's landing.
Backflip time. What do you think, you nervous?
It's about how I feel every time I flip.
When was the last time you
flipped a pit bike?
You're going to have to hit it pretty hard, actually.
That's actually...
Let's take a quick little run at her.
I think you're going to need
third, Combover. Really?
There you go, buddy.
I'd say second's fine.
Good luck. Go Combover!
You got it.
Backflip Steve! Actually, it's a lot
poppier than I thought. Might have put it up
too high, because it's a big ass
kicker. I was in the air, and I'm like, wow, I had a lot of time.
Why do you go right so far?
Aim a little left, maybe.
And definitely more speed.
I thought you went left.
I didn't really give much.
It's kind of like a...
Man, you missed on both sides.
Steve!
Dude! Yeah!
You want to do it?
Why is it on me?
I'm just asking anyone.
I'll do it. I want to do it.
You want to do it? I'll film. Let's go.
Jonah, stepping in.
I did the foam pit three times.
And that's it.
I don't think many YouTube channels
that their filmer does backflips.
I don't know if ours does yet either,
but we're about to find out. Go Jonah!
How does it make, dude? That was great.
That was fun!
Dusty, camera hands up.
I was filming. You were jumping.
He jumped. It's your turn.
I'm going to go to flat.
That's what I do.
Don't Dusty this one, Dusty.
Are you good?
No!
He's flying!
Darn you.
Good luck, Dusty.
You want your camera back?
Yeah, I'll take that.
Dusty!
Oh!
Beautiful!
You didn't sound too high-pitched.
I got a question for you, Raisin.
Have you ever ridden a 500 before?
No. Would you like to? Yeah.
You want to ride it now? Yeah.
That was not the answer I was expecting.
It was so small on that bike.
Alright, pull it off
before it catches up.
Good freaking work.
Radiator off of a Goldwing.
It's got an electric fan I tied into the headlights
over here.
Rerouted all the coolant so it doesn't go from the track
straight to the radiator.
In theory,
it should be good.
First backslide ever
on this leg.
First lap!
He hasn't even looked at the track yet and he's hitting the jumps.
He actually hit a backside already. That's not bad.
How do you think the track looks?
I'd say it looks fine. It looks safe.
It looks fun.
Do you think you can jump most of them?
I used to be able to. I don't know anymore.
We'll find out.
We'll be cheering for you on the sidelines.
Yeah, I wouldn't.
Why'd you stop?
Arm pump?
How many laps did you do? I did three.
How about Steve? How did he look?
He's gotta hit more jumps.
I just followed Rayson around a few laps.
I feel bad for Steve.
Hey Ryan, I think you have too much air pressure.
Wait, wait.
Hold up.
I need all that air pressure.
After evaluating a few
practice laps,
we're gonna have to make some changes.
So comb over, you need a 20 second hit start.
Phil?
25 seconds.
I was gonna say 10.
Anyone else want in on this race?
I mean, Hubert, what do you think?
I'm just here to get footage.
Hubert's got his glasses on.
What's at the stakes for the win?
The loser has to jump into the pond.
How many gators are in there?
I don't know.
Unknown number, good.
Great.
You're gonna give him the green flag?
I'm giving the green flag and I guess I'm counting
with my fingers or something.
We don't have a stopwatch.
I don't think he noticed how long
10 seconds really was.
Oh my god.
He must still be going.
Phil didn't stop.
Let's go, buddy.
I can't see anything.
Hubert Vision didn't work?
No.
Big step up, comb over,
over jumped about 20 feet,
lands, boom.
That was as close to crashing
as I've ever seen somebody get without crashing.
Did you get it on film?
I got it.
That was way too fast.
Hey, well, congratulations.
Your belly flopped.
We set the handicap.
I think Phil was sandbagging a little
in his practice laps.
He was getting after it.
No sandbagging with the neck brace on, man.
He's a racer.
He steps it up in the race.
I woke up this morning to a video of
Racin on the family skid steer
packing in a line
to this gator pond over here
at Ranch 54. I'm a little concerned.
I don't know that she understands
how fast you have to be going or
where to go. I see a lot of trees.
We need to be going at least 75 miles an hour.
As fast as the bike goes.
Let me explain pond skimming.
Now, exponentially, as the tires
go further and further under the water,
you slow down quicker. So if you hit the water at 100,
you can go about 1,000 feet.
But every mile an hour less
than that exponentially cuts
down your duration because you have
more friction.
Help me pull it out.
I made it.
I feel like
I'm on the other side.
Did that make any sense? Yeah.
She's a mathlete. Maybe she's a mathlete.
How's your math? Not that great.
Alright.
Well, honesty is key.
What are we doing? What's this about
this big gator in here though?
It's like a baby alligator still.
Okay.
So one of the key parts right here is the stopping area.
You should hit the end.
If you're under 50 miles an hour
when you hit the end, you are the end. You stop in the pond.
The run out is
small. I mean, you got
a couple trees, a nice wood fence, and somebody else's
the neighbor's house to crash into.
We should go to the other side and just check our
stopping distance because that might be our
limiting factor. I'm going to
literally be running on the water if I go in the water.
There's no chance I'm
going to be staying in there. I probably will get
crocodile rolled in there and I'm not stoked about it.
Alligators don't mess with you anyways.
Whoa! Whoa!
Dude, I thought it was a snake. Now you got me
paranoid about these freaking dangerous
animals. You're not afraid of
the alligators?
They don't really mess with you. Nothing.
Have you wrestled them? How do you know they don't mess with you?
I've been by them.
At the zoo?
I did see them at the zoo.
It just constantly goes like
it's like a roller coaster.
First of all, let's race this girl,
race them, Kyler.
She's badass, no doubt. Now we're like,
oh, there's a pond. Let's go pond skimming.
No, let's not. You need to go ride
down the dirt tomorrow. So it's like, okay, we're going to
sacrifice the bike because it's not going to make it
because it's like 200 and something feet
and there's no smooth transition that
goes perfectly smooth.
Everything has a drop off which causes you to
go really fast, hop,
and then who knows what happens. It probably doesn't
make it. The sled ain't working.
Ain't me working on it, so that's why I'm not worried.
You've got to find someone else's bike so you
don't tear up your bike. Oh, wait, 500.
No. Yeah, dude. You're going to ruin it before
tomorrow. No, no, no, it's going to be fine.
I mean, it's his bike, his
money, whatever.
Coming over from that way? I think
that'll be our best bet, to be honest.
Our best bet? Oh, well, okay, if it works
for you, then I'll go second.
Sounds like a plan. And if it doesn't work,
I'll go second. Sounds like a plan.
Good luck.
Well, he doesn't want to overheat
a snowmobile because he's running a snowmobile in Florida.
He did cut some extra panels, though, for it.
I figured more air,
more better. More air, more
better. Yeah.
You know, all water
is is melted snow, so I think he's going to
go right across it like it's snow.
Think about it, man. It's just science.
Oh, boy.
All right, here he comes.
No wonder he's like,
yeah, let me just get this over with.
Like, what are you guys waiting for?
He didn't have to come in that fast.
No, he didn't even go fast. I thought he was going to sink it.
I thought the belt was going to get wet.
No, you have to do it, though.
You said if he makes it, you got to do it.
I said if he didn't make it, I'd do it anyway,
but let me take it anyway.
Oh, he's going to come back?
He said that's hell.
That's hell.
That's tough.
Yeah, Tyler!
Yeah!
Not if it takes me as long as it took you to get across.
Yeah, this thing just has no lugs on it
whatsoever and, like, no power.
Yeah, it's
not. It worked. It worked good.
You don't need a big run.
You have so much surface area.
It's just Shavacidu with a track.
Did you hear what that kid just said?
I'm sorry, I didn't hear you.
What did you say?
Thanks!
Can I get someone to stand right here
when I'm coming up to it?
I'm going to go check the other side.
That's a long way.
Nice and neat.
Great that I don't have to work on it.
Shit, I lost a dollar.
That's awesome.
If my left foot came off too,
that was going to be a belly flop.
You are all wet, man.
It looked like you fell in, but you didn't.
I got so lucky it started sinking and right there,
the ground came up right as I
sunk. Perfect.
Alright, that worked.
Can we do it again?
No. One and done.
End of the day. Come over.
It's in for the belly flop.
You've got to go again.
It's belly flop Steve!
Belly flop Steve!
You okay, Steve?
