For my final adventure on the island of Dominica, I headed to the village of Calibishie to tour a local chocolate factory! Join me on this sweet adventure as I close out my time on the island in style at Pointe Baptiste Estate!

POINTE BAPTISTE ESTATE: This unique business is Dominica’s only chocolate factory. It’s run by a man named Alan, whose family moved to the island in the 1930s. He walked me through the entire process of making chocolate, from the cacao trees growing on his property, to forming the chocolate into bars, and all of the fascinating steps in-between. I also tried all of the chocolate varieties they produce. Their hot pepper chocolate is my favorite!
