Hello and welcome to another chapter of Hands-On with Fujifilm GFX Eterna 55 and today we're going
to talk about networking. The camera does have on the back an ethernet port so you can use hardwire
to network this camera to computers. It also has built-in wi-fi which you can connect and
wirelessly. So there is in the menu is something called network. You enter this and here's where
you have selections for setup for wireless LAN and wired LAN and there is also built-in camera
to cloud frame IO. So if you have a frame IO account it's very very easy for you to configure
this to upload automatically every time you close your clip or you can select clips to upload
through playback. You would select connect into your frame IO account you designate the kind of
file types that you want uploaded so they could be proxies only they could be the h.265 files
or you could upload the full res pro res if that's what you want if you have a sufficiently good
connection and then the upload setting this is where you have auto image transfer either on or
off. If this is turned on then every time you cut your clip it will automatically start uploading
the file you just recorded. So that is frame IO. Wireless LAN is quite simple and straightforward
you can turn it on with this bottom left button here and it will immediately begin searching for
available networks. You find one that you want to connect to and now to enter the password
the sub monitor screen is actually a touch screen when it comes to typing so you select
uppercase or lowercase and then you can actually type right on the screen and set the password
that you want and then you simply hit done. For the wired LAN settings every GFX Eterna 55
is going to come with its own pre-configured internal IP address but because they're all going
to leave the factory with the same one it's probably a good idea to enter that and manually
configure the IP address for the network that you want to use for your laptop or server system.
Now where the wired LAN setting is very very useful is where it comes to this remote record
function that's built into the camera. The remote record function allows you to literally tether
the camera off of a computer control all the settings from that computer remotely and of course
be able to see the picture in real time on your laptop or desktop screen and you can have up to
four cameras operating in that interface. But the first thing you're going to want to do is to go
in here and create a username and also set a password for that remote function. Once you've
done that you simply say use that will enable that to work. Server type can be HTTPS or HTTP.
Once you're on that network you type in the IP address into a browser on your laptop and shortly
it will find the camera and will bring up the GUI and you'll see the picture live on screen.
I hope this has been helpful. Thanks for joining me.
