In this documentary, we’re starting in Guatemala City, the country’s cosmopolitan capital city, where we’ll explore its unique mix of ancient and modern history, as well as its street food and modern dining experiences. From its world-famous Mapa en Relieve topographical map, to the hidden underground gems at the bustling Mercado Central, to its innovative upscale restaurants inspired by the Mayan bible, this city is one of a kind.
 
I’m also taking you to incredible sites outside the city. From the colorful artisanal markets of Chichicastenango, to the mouthwatering Maya patin in Santiago Atitlan, to the breathtaking ruins at Iximche, we’re exploring gems all over Guatemala.
