Episode 1: The Boreal Forest | Birds on the Move
#BorealFoest #BirdsontheMove #Bird
The Boreal Forest is one of the last great intact forest systems on Earth and the heart of North America’s bird nursery. Spanning from Alaska to Newfoundland, it supports nearly half of the continent’s common bird species during nesting and migration.
Today, Indigenous governments and organizations are advancing visionary efforts to protect these lands and waters across Canada. Their leadership could conserve more than 100 million acres of Boreal habitat, ensuring this essential ecosystem continues to sustain birds for generations to come.
