Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel. Today I'm refreshing my entryway for spring,
bringing in a mix of new pieces while also shopping my home for a few favorites. The goal
is to create a space that feels inviting, fresh, and cozy, something that naturally
flows with the change of the season. I've been away for a couple weeks unexpectedly.
I took some time off after my grandfather passed away a few weeks ago, but it feels
nice to be back and to ease back into decorating. I always like to begin with clearing everything
off and removing all the existing decor so I can start fresh, and it gives me a chance
to reset the space, wipe everything down, and really see it with new eyes.
Lately, I've been using a plant-based cleaner from Amazon, both on my furniture and my kitchen
cabinets, and I've been loving it. It removes stains really well without lifting any color
or finish, which is so important, especially for wood tones, so I thought I would share
that with you guys and link it down below. My black sideboard is from Home & Kids Co.
I purchased it a few years ago, and it's become one of my favorite pieces in our home.
The price has actually doubled since I purchased it, but if it is ever in your budget, I do think
it's worth the price. I get asked about this paint color all the time. It's one of my go-to
neutrals. I've used it in our previous home, and in this home it's Accessible Beige by Sherwin
Williams. It's soft and warm, and it works beautifully in so many different spaces.
When I start styling, I almost always begin with a lamp, just to anchor one side and bring in some
height into the space. This lamp is from the Lauren Lease & Troy Lighting Collection. It
was gifted to me for a promotional campaign that I did with The Lighting Company, and while it is
very beautiful and a substantial piece, it's definitely more on the expensive side, and not
as sturdy as my other Troy Lighting lamps because of its tapered shape. But I do love it, and it
works in this corner very beautifully. On the opposite side, I initially placed two vintage
vessels. The larger one is from Cottage & Quay Home, and the smaller one is from Olive Atelier.
I added the maiden hair stems from my spring collection with Cottage & Quay Home to the
larger vessel, but when I stepped back, something didn't feel right. The shape of the vessels were
just a little too similar to the lamp, and everything started to just blend together
instead of creating contrast, which I love. So I decided to switch things out, and I brought in
a larger woven vase from McGee & Co. This one is one of those pieces that I've owned for years,
and no matter how many times I restyle, I always go back to it, and it just works. I love it.
I added four stems to this vase, keeping it simple, but still full enough to feel intentional
and give me the look that I'm going for. Next to the vase, I added a stack of bugs and layered an
iron easel on top. On the easel, I placed one of my newer finds, a frame from Amazon. I love the
warmth of the wood tone and the detail of the double mat. It just feels very elevated, and of
course, I added a family photo inside. On the other side of the lamp, I styled a second stack of bugs
and topped it with a silver tray, and in the tray, I added a candle and a matchbox from my spring
collection. All three items are from Cottage and Key Home. It's a small detail, but I love the silver
touch. And to fill in the empty space, I brought in a small wooden bowl from Olive Atelier, and
just a quick side note, anything on their site labeled designed or reproduction isn't actually
vintage or antique, which is something I get asked about pretty often, and something I unfortunately
had to find out for myself. I did try placing the candle and matches inside the bowl, but I ended up
loving it more just left empty as a simple catch-all piece. In my foyer, I also have this narrow vintage
bench. It's one of my favorite spots to style throughout the seasons. For spring, I added a
European linen throw that I sourced in Dallas for my collection with Cottage and Key Home.
We were only able to find four of them, and once they're gone, they won't be restocked, so it feels
really special to be able to use one here. I also peeped into my decor closet to find a couple of
pillows. I love adding pillows to a bench. It softens the look and makes the space feel a little
bit more layered and inviting. The larger pillow cover is from Colin and Ben, and the lumbar pillow
cover is from Etsy. That one especially has been one of my favorites for a long time. I also wanted
to share this milking stool that I picked up with Olive Atelier a few months ago. It's labeled as a
design piece, and it's honestly not something I would recommend. It's extremely lightweight. It
feels like paper. Honestly, my linen throw is heavier than this stool, and it's really not worth the
price, so I just had to mention that even though I am using it in this corner. But it's been very hard
to style because it tips over very easily, and that completes the space. A soft and simple refresh,
one that really aligns with the season of life that I am currently in. I'm not doing well mentally,
so expect that my decorating this season will be very minimal and simplified just because it brings
me so much peace with everything that we have going on. I miss you guys, and I hope you enjoyed
spending time with me as much as I enjoyed filming this for you.
I will chat with you in the comments, and I will see you in my next video.
