Book Your Belize Experience with Charlie the Traveler: https://charliethetraveler.com/our-multiday-tours/belize/ As my adventures in Belize continued, I set out to find a secret beach! Along the way, I made a few stops and tried some local foods in San Pedro, Belize!
PUR BOUTIQUE: At this open-air taco bar and grill, I enjoyed a delicious and potent rum punch with rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, Blue Curacao, a lime, and a cherry.
ROADSIDE STAND: At this stand, 3.5 miles from the bridge, I had some fresh coconut water mixed with rum!
SECRET BEACH: Here, I headed to a restaurant called Sunset Palace, where you can eat at tables on the sand bar in the water! I had a Dirty Banana (a creamy rum drink containing bananas and chocolate syrup) and some unbelievable conch ceviche.
BARS & BEACH: Near the Secret Beach, we met some craft vendors and tried an Iguana Punch at a nearby bar. Outside was a vendor who makes gorgeous slate carvings, including the Mayan calendar! Then, we had more coconut water and rum at another bar.
CROCODILES: We ended our day at sundown at a pier overlooking a body of water where crocodiles live. Just don’t accidentally fall in like I did!

It's tempting us.
Come in, I dare you.
You don't see it, but it's there.
Bro, oh my god.
You guys, no!
Yeah, yeah.
That's it.
On the way to the secret beach, we're making a stop
here at Pure Boutique.
This is a taco bar and grill, there's a pool,
and it's adults only.
We're getting a cocktail, I guess.
They always have the beer of the country.
We're going for a drink, a cocktail.
So what are we doing here?
We're making a rum punch,
a special rum punch.
My ingredients are dark rum,
coconut rum, some pineapple,
OJ, some rum in there as well.
Shake it,
then serve it
Alright,
alright.
Some rum,
my mixtures, which is pineapple
and OJ, alright.
I have some rissole in here,
a little bit of lime,
and we shake it together.
A little bit of blue curacao
for garnish.
Alright guys,
so this is a full Uncle Nelson ride over here.
Here you go boss.
It's lime, pineapple,
orange juice and rum, that's what it is.
Nice taco.
The very end,
with all this cherry.
Another open and rest stop,
a little bit high end.
They got food as well, and it's only adults.
So you can't come here with families, but it's good.
Alright, let's go.
Nice rock and roll.
What's up guys?
Coming in with some rum?
What's up bro, how you doing?
David, pleasure.
Right now we're about 3-3.5 miles
north of the bridge,
going on your way to Secret Beach.
So we sell fresh coconuts,
ice cold, we put some rum in it,
and we also have frozen drinks like
pina colada, strawberry colada,
strawberry daiquiri, all going in the coconut,
topped with a cherry and a straw.
Very good too.
So I pour some out, make some space for the rum in the ice.
Pour it out?
No, it's like a sin.
We want it with the rum in the ice.
With the rum.
You got tropical brandy?
Yup.
That's a splash.
Wow.
That's incredible.
I can't even believe it bro.
Thank you so much.
Monster coconut.
He filled it with rum, so two different rums.
Oh my gosh.
Wow, coconut rum?
I can't even believe this exists man.
This is the nectar from the gods.
The coconut.
This is a different type of coconut,
so it's not too much jelly inside.
It's a light layer one.
So how much does it cost for this one?
20 billis or 10 kilos.
Thank you so much.
I might see you on the way down bro.
Appreciate the support man.
Hope to see you again.
So remember, 3.5 miles away from the bridge,
on the way to Seeker Beach,
we see Aisin, try some coconuts, worth it.
Alright, thank you.
This is amazing.
It's a desert now though, wear some sunscreen.
So here is the junction
to get to Seeker Beach
or to continue to the north of the island.
If you take a right, you will head north.
If you take a left,
it's heading to Seeker Beach.
From here, it's one and a half miles
to get to Seeker Beach,
and once you get there, you'll be in paradise.
That's it.
Right here, Seeker Beach.
Let's go, this is so exciting.
We already made it to Seeker Beach,
so now we are heading south of Seeker Beach,
heading to Sunset Palace.
Coming up to the north,
we're going to stop at
the water park.
This is actually really exciting,
being here, look at this, Seeker Beach.
So it's restaurants,
bars, you chill and relax.
And what they do here is amazing.
So they have spots out there
on the water, in the sandbar,
and they bring you the food, and if you come on board,
they bring you the food as well, and drinks as well.
So I'm ready to go in the water.
You? Let's go in the water.
This is a dirty banana?
That's what he said.
It's like the most
vivid ice cream
rum drink. Yeah, it looks nuts.
Is it a rum?
It's rum mixed with banana.
It's cream, that's it.
Alright, so right here we have the
fish, huh? What is that, snapper?
It's a red snapper.
You rip it apart, bro.
Nate, you good?
Yeah, bro.
Look at this.
Very fresh.
This place is amazing. In the conch?
Dude, in the conch.
That's awesome.
Let's do this, Nate.
The problem with traveling
is they put you fast.
This is the fastest
they've ever been.
I'm all about the
giving, bro.
So I was telling Nate, I think this is my favorite
ceviche of all time. It's like a sausage ceviche.
Look, you have crunchy
onions, tomato, coriander,
some lime.
This is common here.
Shrimp, fish,
chips, corn chips.
And you go at the very end, you go like this.
Wow, what a dish, huh?
Nate, what we got here?
Shark,
pelican stout, and
a pelican beer.
Thank you so much. Awesome.
So right here we have the pelican
regular, we got a pelican stout,
and we have the land shark.
This is like the happiest day of my life.
Conch here, bro.
Americanos.
Love it. Nate, what do you think?
It's amazing. Privilege, bro.
It's a privilege. It is.
¿Cómo estás? ¿Todo bien?
Todo bien. Listo.
So right here, Jesus has
handcrafted bags.
He also has shark glasses. He has pipes.
He has turtles,
necklaces, a mix of
things, right? Yeah.
So that was an incredible experience
there. Sunset Palace.
Now let's head to the
next restaurant and bar.
No, this is Barua.
Island.
Viper's over here.
The most dangerous snake.
A Viper rum.
Who knew this was real?
In Belize.
Belize it.
It's a coral snake.
The most venomous snake in Belize.
A coral snake, not a viper, man.
Not that that's any less poisonous.
Alright, so this into this.
You take this first, then you take that for Jason.
Let's go.
That's intense.
Can't explain.
And we're on the shot too.
Bro, you didn't see the dog here, bro.
You saw him? The eyes
are like, he's like Game of Thrones
right there, man.
This is one of our signature drinks.
It's called an Iguana Punch, right?
It's basically
a layer, like a flag
or a collar.
So you always pour this
on the bottom.
Yeah, this is our Iguana Punch.
I read it.
What does that mean, Iguana Punch?
Iguana Punch is
just something that, like
you know, we're on the island, you know
Iguana change colors. It change blue,
red, yellow.
Just camouflage.
So it's just something that the bartenders created
with their, you know, brilliant minds
that let's do this, so we did it.
This is yellow.
And this is our Relix 2.
It has liquor on top.
And what we do is
just take two straws.
Put the straws here.
Garnish it.
Garnish it with two umbrellas.
Put a huge cherry on it.
It's a beautiful drink, huh?
It's like so tropical.
God, the tropics.
It's basically our signature drink.
The strongest drink in Belize.
You're dead, man. You're going to die.
How deep are you right now?
I'll come in at
7.
You know what it's like?
It's like a little yellow shot.
Right?
It's really good though.
Look at this.
Hey man, when you're in Belize, Belize it.
Belize it.
You have these two
and then you have that one.
What did you do?
He's shy.
Hey Johnny, what's up buddy?
He's cute.
That's Belize right here.
We have Mexico.
We have Guatemala.
Then we have Honduras in the south.
Very beautiful country.
We're going to explore the whole thing.
I'll take it.
I think about all the time when I travel
is how I support the locals.
I'm traveling. I'm working. They're working.
We're all trying to help each other out.
Amazing stuff.
This is made from a stone.
Slate.
Look at this. How clean it is.
I actually was looking at it the whole time.
I was like, cousin, give me a discount.
These are the tools.
I know. I know.
This is what he uses to make this piece of art.
This is the Mayan calendar right here.
Let's do some
American football here.
It's nice.
Thank you so much.
I'm done.
Let's go get some food.
Drone shots.
Sunset. Damn.
It's better we forget.
We have a few more stops to go.
I can't wait to see what we find.
What's up?
Is this good?
A little jar.
You're going to mix it with some what, rum?
A little bit of all of it.
Only a little bit.
Here you go, boss.
Enjoy.
Too much rum.
It's insane.
It is sweet. It's nice.
It's wild amazing.
Thank you, amigo.
We are missing something good.
You want to see the crocodiles?
Yes.
Let's go.
You good here?
Yeah.
It's crystal.
Here we have the croc.
He's tempting us.
I dare you.
The water is warm, guys.
I don't think we'll be able to see him.
You don't see it, but it's there.
Bro, oh my god.
You guys, no.
Yeah.
That's it.
