Restoring America's Most Iconic 18th-Century Battleship to Its Former Glory

Profiles the colorful history of the U.S.S. Constitution, "Old Ironsides," which won America's first victories at sea, and, following its historically accurate restoration in 1997, retains its status today as a national symbol. The video chronicles the ship's innovative design and construction, portrays some of its legendary sea battles (including a successful assault against two British ships simultaneously), and shows her recent restoration and re-launching, with a specially-trained U.S. Navy crew, for the first time in over a century.
