Rep. Coffey’s Veteran Bill Passes Unanimously in Committee

Veterans continue to play an important role in our communities after service and deserve financial relief, which is why I filed legislation to provide the men and women who served our country with discounted vehicle registration fees. I’m very proud to sponsor HB4232 and have support from both sides of the aisle to get the bill passed through committee unanimously.

HB4232 will let veterans in Illinois keep more money in their pockets by reducing vehicle registration fees to $100 if the vehicle owner has been issued a driver’s license with a veteran's designation.
