Lindblad reflects on his start in F1: ‘I’ve showed what I can do’

The safety car didn't really work out in your favour today. Just sum up how you're feeling right now. A bit disappointed. I mean, yeah, I started P10, I think I was running P8 after a lap or two. And then I think there was a few things I could have managed better on the energy side in the battle with Max and Esteban on that first stint. So I lost those two places there. And then I was settling into a nice rhythm before the stop. Did the pit stop, it was a bit slow. So I lost the place to Isaac. And then the safety car came out and I lost another three or four. So yeah, it's a bit of a shame. But I think regardless, there's still a lot to learn. There's still a lot for me to improve on. So I'm going to focus on that. It hasn't been an easy week with quite a lot of issues. P2, P3 again now with the safety car. But I think I'm not going to look at it on a luck side because I don't believe in this. I'm going to focus on what I could have done better and take that forward to Miami. So how have you kind of looking back on these last three races? You're going to have a bit of a break. Are you pleased with at least what you've been able to try and get out of it from your personal perspective? I think so. I mean, I think I've done some, I think I've showed a few wow moments. You know, I think that was, I showed that in Melbourne, even in China, you know, to go to a new track, a sprint weekend, do no FP and be basically the same as my teammate and qualifying this week to get into Q3. You know, I think I've showed what I can do and I, you know, I, yeah, I'm impressed with the performances that I've put in. But then obviously to be expected with, you know, as a rookie with such new cars, such different ways of having to drive, there's things for me to work on and improve. So I'm very much looking at it from a side of, I know I have the ability. I know that I can do it, but there's this stuff to work on and I'm going to look at it that way.
