The Secret Behind This Soft, Curved House
#architecture #architecturedesign #modernarchitecture
At first glance, something feels different. Nothing is fully straight.
The Maré House was designed with curves from the very beginning.
Brick walls bend instead of aligning.
Spaces flow instead of being rigid.
The house is organized into two stacked volumes, connected by large wooden slabs that create shade and outdoor living areas.
Inside, everything connects.
Floor and ceiling extend beyond the boundaries, blending interior and exterior into one continuous space.
A central tree becomes a reference point, visible from multiple areas of the house.
And natural materials — wood, stone, and neutral tones — reinforce a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
This is not a house trying to stand out. It’s a house designed to flow.
