I have all these bags full of thrifted goodies,
and I'm gonna show you how to create some simple gifts
with the things that I thrifted.
They're all gonna be under $10,
and I do have something exciting at the end,
something I thrifted that you possibly couldn't think
could be a gift that we're gonna turn it into a gift,
and it's also gonna be under $10.
So here we go.
So when I am thrifting,
I'm always on the lookout for baskets.
So I'm gonna show you some of the cute little baskets
I've bought, because these are great to put gifts in.
They don't have to be baskets.
They can be little containers,
but all these baskets I'm showing you
are either were $1.50 or $1.
This one was super cute
because it had the dividers in there,
and even this one was a cute metal basket
with the cute little wooden handles, which I love.
So those are great.
Other containers like bowls, pots, glassware
are a good idea to put thrifted gifts
or any kind of gifts in.
My first thrifted gift.
Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe these.
I thought I would love to receive these as a gift.
So I'm gonna show you here.
I got these gorgeous bowls,
and I love them right when I saw them.
So I thrifted them for $1.50 each.
So I got four of them.
You could put a cute little bag of soup in here,
tie it off, and maybe with some spoons,
and that would be a great gift.
My idea though, if I can find it here.
Oh, I thrifted this ice cream scoop for $1,
and I thought this would be so cute paired with this.
So we're gonna wrap this up.
I've got an extra special goody
that we're gonna put in here.
This is my special homemade caramel sauce.
I thought this would be so cute
since it's gonna be ice cream themed.
I have shared the recipe in other videos,
but I will put it down below in the description,
but it is fantastic.
So I thought this would be really cute.
A quick way to dress up a little jar,
like if you were just gonna give this to someone
as it's by itself, as a gift,
I like to take just these papers
that you get in packages, Amazon boxes, whatever.
Just gonna cut a little square
so I don't have the whole thing,
and then I'm just gonna cut maybe an inch
around the jar, just make a circle.
Okay, so I've got my round piece,
so you flip the jar,
and I'm just gonna tie it up around there.
I have some cellophane wrap
that we're gonna wrap this up cute in.
Now, I always like to save these
if I get them in gifts,
or you can get it at the dollar store.
They're just these little cute shreds of paper.
You could even use shredded newspaper,
whatever you got, but I'm gonna put some in the bowl,
and then just kinda dress up the package
like that, make it cute.
With this, you could put a sticker
or just glue a little label on there
or just write caramel or whatever it is
that you're gifting.
Just gonna put that in there.
I'm gonna tie this up.
So I have some ribbon.
I did find these cute little tags,
free printable online,
and I will link that below,
but I made these cute little tags too,
so we're gonna add that.
These are the cute little printable tags
that I will put the link below,
but all I'm doing is cutting them out,
and then I printed them on normal paper,
so they're really flimsy,
but I'm gonna cut them out,
and I'm gonna glue them to cardstock,
and then just cut those out too
so they make really cute, easy tags.
Hole punch it, which is also thrifted.
Yeah, it still has the tag on it for 75 cents.
Okay, so wonderful.
Look at all these thrifted items
that we can use in our homes
and be sustainable.
It's wonderful.
It's just a fun, simple gift,
and the best part is it was under $10.
Okay, we are gonna do something with this
cute little basket.
I, let's see, here we are.
I thrifted this cute towel.
I already have washed it,
so we're gonna put that, let's see,
just fold up the towel,
just kinda put it in there.
So I thought with this gift,
it was so cute, and this would be a cute,
I mean, Christmas gift, cute wedding gift,
cute any kind of gift.
I was able to thrift this cute little juicer.
It was darling.
It was, I believe, three, yeah, it was $3.
So we're at a dollar for the towel,
a dollar for the basket.
This is super cute, so I'm gonna put this in here.
I also thrifted, where are they?
Okay, here's one.
I thought this would be so fun.
We're getting all sorts of things out of these bags.
Oh, okay.
These were so cute,
and they've got just these cute little flower prints
on them.
I thought, let's have a fancy lemonade party,
or just sit out on your porch drinking lemonade
from these fancy cups.
So I'm gonna slide these in here.
I think I had it cute before.
Let's see.
If you can't find it, I mean,
there are other kinds of juicers
that I've seen at the thrift stores.
You could also thrift a pitcher,
just a clear glass pitcher,
and that would work too,
and maybe a wooden spoon.
I went ahead and also found a cute recipe
for state fair lemonade that we are gonna stick in there.
I printed that really cute.
We're gonna stick it in here.
I'm gonna throw some lemons in the cups here
and just make it just really cute.
Super cute idea for anyone that loves lemonade.
You could also do maybe oranges and do orange juice.
This was under $10 as well.
Next gift is super cute,
really easy to find these items at the thrift store.
So let's put this one, let's put it together.
Let's start with the basket.
This was a dollar, very cute.
And I did buy this at the dollar store.
I thought it was really cute and went with it.
So we're just gonna put that in there.
And I was able to thrift these cute little teacups.
And I just, I loved the handle on them.
It has a cute little flower on the inside.
I mean, it's, they were darling.
They were 50 cents each.
I did end up buying this herbal tea.
It's lavender chamomile.
It's actually one that I love,
but I will kind of sip before bed
because the lavender helps me sleep.
So, and I was lucky enough
to thrift this vintage tea strainer,
which I love the patina, everything on it.
I mean, you could definitely polish it up and everything,
but this was a dollar, this was a dollar.
So we put that in there
and then you have your cute little gift.
This is so easy.
We can wrap this with cellophane too,
or just tie a cute little bow on it.
And this was about four,
the tea itself was about four or $5.
So another gift under $10, really simple,
really easy.
This next one is for anyone that loves breakfast.
And again, a couple of really cute,
easy things to find at the thrift store as well.
So let's see this out.
I did find this mixing bowl
and it looks like it hadn't been used at all.
So this was a great find.
This was $3.
And let's see, let's, let's dress it up a little bit.
Throw some of that in there too.
Get a little festive.
All right, I found these cute little bags
at the dollar store.
They actually came in a two pack.
So this was maybe 50 or 75 cents.
And I went ahead and put just,
this is two cups of pancake mix
and all you do is add water.
So I'm going to put that in here.
As a family, we love to put chocolate chips in our pancakes.
So I did another bag just with,
with chocolate chips in there.
So I'm going to put that in there as well.
And there we go.
I have this pure maple syrup.
Now, yes, pure maple syrup is a little expensive,
but I'm just, you know, using this as an idea.
This is what I had on hand.
You can see that it's already been used.
But syrup, a small bottle, it will cost you a few dollars.
So still make the gift under $10
and let's put that in there.
And I've got this cute,
it's just a little metal Christmas tree pancake,
I don't know, pancake mold.
It's cute.
It has the thing that folds in
and I just thought it was festive,
but you can find,
usually I find a lot of cookie cutters that are metal
that you can use as pancake molds as well.
So those would work too.
Isn't that cute?
I did on the little tag here on the bottom,
I did write how many cups of water
to add to the pancakes so they will know.
But here is another gift under $10.
I am so excited for you guys to see
the last thrifted gift
that we're gonna kind of flip and transform
just something ordinary to extraordinary.
So keep sticking around for that.
This next gift is really easy.
Now I thrifted this rolling pin for $2.
I've already cleaned and sanitized it.
Cute little oven mitt.
I love that.
I just, I love the candy cane vibe there,
but it's okay if you don't thrift everything,
but I just wanted to show you guys
some ideas of things you can thrift
to make these gifts inexpensive
and just, you know, really cute.
So here is this from the dollar store.
Now I've got also from the dollar store,
cute little sugar cookie mix.
And this is the gift.
We're gonna just slide that in there,
slide the rolling pin in there.
Very simple, very inexpensive gift.
Super cute for coworkers, neighbors,
anyone that loves baking
and likes a quick sweet treat, I guess.
So here we go.
Very simple.
I get so excited when I can thrift beautiful dishes,
bakeware, bowls, plates, cups.
I love it for, especially for a really good price.
So this one I love.
So excited to find these.
Isn't it pretty?
I just love the details and the design on here.
This, just a casserole dish.
And it was a set of three
and they were $2 each.
So I just love them.
They are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.
And they looked like they maybe had just been sitting
in someone's cupboard and never got used.
So beautiful.
I'm gonna show you how to make two gifts out of them.
So this, we're gonna use the two smaller ones
to do one gift.
Now I've got a yummy brownie mix.
I love a quick sweet treat.
Warm brownies are one of our family's favorite.
So I'd love to gift that.
And let's see, I've got another cute little towel
from the dollar store.
And we'll just roll that up in there.
However, you could put a cute little bow on it.
Now this was under $10.
So you could add some chocolates.
And this one, I've got cute oven mitt
and some potholders also from the dollar store
that will pop in here.
I did end up thrifting this cute holiday rubber scraper.
They had several of them for a dollar, $1.50,
depending on what they were at the thrift store.
And I ended up thrifting this cute little set
of measuring cups for $3.
So we're just gonna pop those in there, really cute.
You can tie them off with a bow and you are set.
So there are two more fun ideas,
really simple thrifted gifts under $10.
Now, I would love to even turn this into one gift,
but we'd have to eliminate a few things
if we wanna keep it under $10.
So since these were $2 each,
this set here would be $6.
And that is just amazing by itself.
And then we'll throw in just these hot pads
that were, that makes it about, what, $8?
So we're throwing the brownies too.
So there we've got about a $10 gift.
And we'll wrap that, just tie that in a bow.
If you guys love these gifts,
I hope that you will comment
and let me know which one's your favorite.
So comment below if you have other ideas,
what you'd add to them or something that you wanna see
or tell me about something
you've already thrifted and gifted.
Hopefully these will just inspire you
to create these budget-friendly gifts.
Even this would make a cute gift.
You could just do a Christmas towel
and a cute little spatula.
Could add those in there too, maybe.
But that, these are just some more fun ideas for you.
I don't know about you guys,
but when there is the slightest chill in the air,
I just wanna get all warm and cozy
and I want a good cup of hot chocolate.
So that's what we're gonna be doing next.
No, we're gonna do this basket, a dollar,
another cute little Christmas towel.
I thrifted these cute little mugs
and they kinda go with that bakeware.
They've just got a cute little design here
and we're gonna put those in there.
Got some candy canes, also I got at the dollar store.
Some Marshmallow Beep Snowman, some mints.
We've got these cute little Christmas tree bags.
They usually have different ones at the dollar store.
So I took some hot chocolate packets
and these ones have the marshmallows.
Those are the best.
You wanna pop that into the bag here.
Tuck that right behind.
Just another fun gift idea
that will give you a bit of warmth this holiday season.
For the next thrifted gift,
this is kind of a DIY.
So I thrifted this really pretty, maybe a vase
or might even be bakeware, I'm not sure,
but it was $3 and we're gonna turn it into a candle
and I'm gonna show you how I did that.
So this is my makeshift double broiler.
You just wanna make sure that the pan
that you're melting the candle in
does not touch the bottom of the other pan.
So put water there, we're gonna heat up the water
and then that heat and steam will melt the candle.
This candle was $2 that I thrifted as well.
And I got these little candle wicks off Amazon as well
and we're just gonna stick those.
They come with these little sticky things
that you stick at the bottom
of whatever candle you're making.
So that's gonna just go right there.
I'm gonna put four of them in
and I'm just gonna use some Popsicle sticks
and let that hold the wick up as it cools.
So this, I'm just gonna make it look a little bit festive.
Got a few pieces of greenery.
So I just wanted to pop some in here
to make it a little bit more festive.
This is just a fun, simple gift.
You can find glass containers
to also make gifts out of.
Some cute little mugs would be cute as a candle as well.
I'm just gonna tie this off.
You can take any cute little mugs
or anything like that that you find thrifting,
glass bowls, and you can turn them into candles as well.
I just thought this particular bowl was really unique.
I love candles and candlelight during the holiday season.
And so I'm gonna show you this next thrifted gift
that goes along with that.
Another cute little basket that was a dollar.
I thrifted this just so pretty candle holder for $2.
Stuff in here again.
I found these, just a pair of candles.
They're ribbed candles at the dollar store.
So I'm gonna pop those in here.
I just tied it with some twine.
So here is another thrifted gift under $10.
We are getting so close to the end.
Just a couple more thrifted gifts
and then we're gonna do our last thrifted DIY,
which is gonna be so fun.
Let's find the next one.
Okay.
I love thrifted books
because they are inexpensive.
You can find them all over any thrift store.
These particular books are by Richard Paul Evans.
He writes the sweetest, heartwarming stories,
usually dealing with Christmas time.
And these ones, if you can't tell,
they are the Christmas colors,
which I thought were wonderful.
I have several of his books that I've thrifted.
And I thought this would be a fun, special gift
for any readers in your life,
anyone that wants a really good, heartwarming story to read
and just cuddle up and read during the holidays.
I thought we'd pair it with some cute, cozy socks
because I do love to get cozy when I'm reading.
Okay, so I read a cute little Christmas tree tag.
And we're gonna wrap this one up, just really simple.
Comment below and tell me if you love to read
during the holidays, if you even get time to read
and what you're reading.
I love a good read like these books.
So there we are.
Another thrifted gift.
The books were $2 each.
The socks were from the dollar store.
So this is another thrifted gift under $10.
This one is so fun and simple as well.
So I thrifted this cutting board.
It was $1.50 or $2, maybe, I don't know.
Either way, it'll still be under $10.
This cutting board, I did thrift a while ago
and I did a video on how to refinish the cutting board
so you guys can go and find that.
I'll leave the link for it in the description.
But basically what you do is you'll clean it really well.
You sand it down with several different grits of sandpaper
to tell you get the really soft buttery smooth finish
that you're looking for.
And then you will finish it off
with a food grade mineral oil.
I think that there is one out there
that's like wax and mineral oil that is food grade as well.
So you let that soak in
and then you got a new brand new cutting board.
We are gonna pair with a towel again from the dollar store.
Just fold that on there really cute.
And I thrifted this cute little cheese cutter
that we are gonna put with this.
And of course, I just got a simple block of cheese
from the store as well.
You can put any kind of cheese you want on there.
Look at that.
Just very simple and inexpensive
but very cute and thoughtful as well.
This is gonna be our last thrifted gift idea
before the big DIY thrifted gift.
So here we go.
Thrifted plates, you can find them everywhere.
It doesn't have to be a Christmas or a holiday plate.
I love giving these types of gifts for the holidays.
Who doesn't love a good,
a nice plate with a yummy goody on there?
My kids love it especially.
You could totally do cookies, brownies.
I've seen yummy chocolate caramel covered pretzels.
So many different gift ideas
but I'm gonna do something a little bit different.
So I've got cream cheese.
I'm gonna put on there my little jar of homemade caramel.
Again, I'm gonna leave the recipe below.
It is amazing.
But we love to make a dessert with the cream cheese.
You just have it cold, slice it really thin
and then you'll warm up the caramel topping,
pour that over.
And I love to put toffee bits on top of it
or chocolate chips, something.
And then we cut up apples and have apple slices.
And I would totally start juggling if I could
but I don't wanna bruise these apples.
So we're gonna just put them on here
and make this cute little plate.
I always wanted to be, to juggle.
I tried so hard when I was little.
I just don't have the coordination for it.
So if you are a juggler and you have some tips
that could help me, leave your comments below.
We are gonna wrap this one up as well.
Okay.
So I would definitely write on the card
or include the recipe or just instructions
how to assemble this.
This would be a great gift
for anyone that's hosting a party that you're going to
because you can bring your dish,
you can pre-make it on there
and then they can keep the holiday plate when it's done.
So it's a nice gift for that or neighbors or anyone.
I would love this gift.
I might keep it for myself.
Hey, I'm so excited about this last one.
Something that you probably pass by
in the thrift store all the time.
And you may never think of it as a gift.
And here it is.
Yes, I know.
It's just a cute little glass jar.
And there are several different kinds
at the thrift store that you can find.
This was $1.50.
But I'm gonna show you how we can turn this
into a really cute personalized gift for someone.
So you'll wanna clean your jar really well
with rubbing alcohol and let it dry.
Now I found this cute little tree template online
and I printed them up in different sizes.
And I'm just gonna cut them out in thin strips.
And then we're gonna tape them to the inside of the jar
and trace them with these paint markers that I have.
These paint markers are wonderful.
They are actually made so they can draw on glass.
So I'm just drawing or tracing these cute little trees
in different sizes and coloring them in on the glass.
And then we're gonna add these cute little deer
that I printed up as well.
Now, once everything dried,
I just wanted to cover the trees and the deer with Mod Podge
and I let that dry.
Then I have this other acrylic sealer that's in matte finish
that I'm gonna spray over the jar to seal it all.
Here it is.
I think it just, I'm so excited how it turned out.
And I love that it kind of gave it a frosted look
on the glass.
I used these extra fine tip white markers.
They're white paint pens.
I just bought them on Amazon.
I will link them below.
They are made to go on glass
and you can actually, after you color with them,
you can cook your glass in the oven.
Just research it and find out how to do it
and do it properly.
This glass is pretty thin,
so I didn't wanna try and bake it.
So I just covered the paint with a little Mod Podge.
And then once that dried,
I used this Aleene's acrylic sealer.
It's a matte finish.
I picked this one because it doesn't yellow after time.
They have a glossy finish too,
but I wanted the matte finish
so I can use it on other projects.
But that's what I used to do it, if you didn't catch that.
But of course Mod Podge you can find anywhere,
but these two I got on Amazon.
So I'll leave those links below.
We're just gonna wrap it up.
I appreciate you guys so much for watching
and sharing my videos
and all the wonderful comments that I get to read through.
And I do answer them personally,
so bear with me if I didn't get to yours right away.
But you could put a really pretty candle in here,
but I am going a different route.
I actually have some oranges
that I thought would be pretty to put in here.
And then they definitely can use one of their own candles
or whatever they've got.
We're just gonna wrap it up.
You guys please subscribe,
share these videos with anyone you think would like them.
That really helps me out, helps my family out.
And I appreciate all of you.
You could even throw some chocolates in there.
But it's just a fun personalized gift
that you can use with a simple glass piece.
You can draw or paint whatever you want on them.
This would be so cute for kids to do.
Just grab some little glass jars or something
and let them draw whatever they want.
And this is a fun gift, but this is it.
So thank you for watching
and we'll see you on the next video.
