When I look at the textures and the colours of the landscape, it influences my work.
The way that the light plays on the hills, you know, where you sort of get the variances between
dark and light, it's just an endless source of inspiration. I do pottery hand building classes.
I have so many people just saying to me, I'm just really getting into the zone,
spend some time with a friend or make a new friend when they're here. I have so many people
that say, oh, I haven't got a creative bone in my body and they get blown away because how much of
a relaxing time they can have, but also make something that they love and that they cherish,
you know, whether it's just a mug that they take home. They made it. Come in here and say, hey,
can I have a go on the wheel? I've got two wheels set up, ready to go. You'd make one or two pieces
and I'll fire them for you and you come back or I can courier them to you. There is a rhythm here
because it's just a peaceful little pocket. You never know what little gem you're going to find
around the corner.
