This a water sleeve piece that depicts the tragic yet beautiful story of Yu Ji, the wife of the legendary general, Xiang Yu. It consists of movements that emphasize the elegance of Classical Chinese dance

“Wu” represents the connection between Chinese dance & Chinese martial arts — 舞（wǔ）means dance & 武 （wǔ）means martial arts.

UC Berkeley Fei Tian Dancers (FTD), Cal Wushu, and Cal VSA Lion Dance presented a joint end-of-the-semester showcase for the Spring 2022 Semester! Similar to our previous Fall 2021 joint showcase, “Wu” showcased a wide range of Chinese dance & martial arts performances, celebrating cultural diversity & sharing our hard work throughout the semester.
