I see that and I go, man, these folks have no idea what's going on. Even Fox sometimes gets by with this. But I'll show you something interesting. President Trump was sitting there with his 17 folks, right? It was 16 plus him, 17. And they were having a heyday going after and ensuring the information that was flowing. Stephen Miller wanted to make sure that the media caught wind of just exactly what President Trump has been doing. Termination has achieved something that if you had predicted it 15 months ago, people would have said it was impossible. If you had said 15 months ago that we would achieve the lowest national murder rate, not in five years or 10 years or 15 or 20 or 30 or 40, but in 125 years, nobody would have believed the possible. And President Trump did exactly that. And it is a miracle. Just think about this for a second. Under President Trump's leadership, the largest reduction in murders in American history, the largest reduction in violent crime in American history, the largest reduction in drug overdose deaths in American history, the largest reduction in fentanyl in American history, the largest reduction in illegal immigration in American history, and the largest number of criminals arrest, removed or deported in American history, all done in one year. If I would just say this, if we had an honest media in this country, the statistics I just gave you would be 24 seven on the news. Nobody could have ever predicted such an achievement would be possible. The second thing, if we had an honest media, every magazine cover would have all that's being done by President Trump to rescue this country. They would be exposing the cabal and all of the evil ones that have been doing nothing but destroying our country. They would go after all the central banking systems that have put us under slavery. They would expose the IRS for what it really is and showing us that we don't really have to pay taxes. It's all voluntary. They would actually show us in detail every single person responsible for using USAID to destroy us. All the people that were on their daycare list collecting money with no children. Delta announced Tuesday they're going to end all special priority perks for lawmakers as long as this DHS shutdown is ongoing and TSA workers aren't being paid until it gets fixed. Brett, Congress is going to get treated like the rest of us. Lawmakers don't deserve perks even once the shutdown is over. We've had enough. The folks that are standing up like Lisa McClain, she's had enough of them. The Democrats putting illegals over American families and she's out front. Was your child, just think about that for a minute. As a mother, it absolutely infuriates me because Democrats are refusing to put my children, our children, American children over these violent, illegal criminals. That's not hypothesis. That is fact. And if you don't believe it, why don't you talk to Sheraton's parents? I just get irritated and I can't believe this is going on in America. Democrats are back to their old chant, defund the police. We don't want all of the ICE folks showing up. So if you guys sign this and make sure ICE doesn't show up for that so we can have these illegal elections, we'll be fine and we'll fund TSA. So when I flew into Dallas and you're driving through the freeways and more, you see Bush all over the place. And I tell you what, it'll probably never be moved and people will continue to think that they're heroes and all this other junk. But you know, I saw this from Chanel Rion from One America News Network, and she did a great job basically showing us how all of this Iran war debate is playing out. And those people that had us once believing in all the ways that the war plays out there, they're trying to make it look like it's similar. Like what's playing out now is what something the Bush would have done and more. So she lays this out and does a great job. There are two general sides to the Iran war debate. One side is against it because understandably they're suffering from Bush Cheney, Iraq, the endless war PTSD. That's right. That's the Tucker Carlson's and the Joe Kent's of the world. The other side is supportive of war in Iran because to oversimplify it, this time is different. Ah, but how? We've heard that one before. This time is different as one of the worst arguments you can make in any debate. It truly is. But allow me to make the case. This picture is the single most powerful piece of evidence that this time really is different. There are other factors I've laid out before, like the fact that Trump is not a daddy pleasing Bush, nor is he a money hoarding Cheney bureaucrat. And we know Trump is willing to just walk away from the entire thing, unlike any president before him. But no, let's zero in on this picture and why it is so astounding. This is a picture of a summit held yesterday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The men in this picture are the foreign ministers of every consequential Arab Gulf nation state that defines the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria. The list goes on. Never in the history of the entire world have these tribal nations ever agreed upon anything or not wanted to kill each other. But yesterday, these nations came together and they were in unanimous agreement that Iran is a threat. It must be condemned. It must be dealt with. Rewind the clock. Let's see where all these countries were in 2003 when W decided to move in on Saddam Hussein. Every single one of these countries, except Kuwait, opposed America for moving in on Iraq. They didn't support the move at all. They believed that Saddam Hussein was a needed strongman for a region that without him would descend into an Iranian proxy mess. And you know what? They were exactly right. We took out Saddam Hussein and Iraq fell to Iran. The Gulf states, for the most part, quietly, reluctantly, allowed America to use their bases in our forever war in Iraq. Kuwait hosted the bulk of our ground forces. Qatar provided CENTCOM with their Al Udeid air base. Bahrain hosted naval assets. And the UAE and the Saudis offered logistic support. No one provided offensive or combat troops. It was a deeply unpopular move. And the Gulf states back then did not agree with any of the underlying motivations. They worried that taking out Saddam Hussein would empower Shia, read Iranian, majorities and only fuel more jihad against the entire world. And it did. But this time around, it's different because one, Trump's Abraham Accords has completely rewired the Middle East and forged alliances that never existed before. Once conflict began in Iran and Iran started lashing out at its neighbors, a sea change happened. On March 1st of this year, the Gulf states held an emergency ministerial meeting and issued a unified condemnation of Iran's heinous aggression. Saudi Arabia, the eldest brother of the Middle East, offered all its capabilities. The UAE joined and coordinated solidarity calls. We've never seen this before in this region. And that unity showed up in yesterday's summit. Every Gulf state in that picture issued a powerful joint statement. The Arab states have been sharing intelligence. They've even started talking about engaging in offensive measures against Iran. This is huge. This is the Trump doctrine at work. Make way for peace and prosperity. Let local leaders take the reins. This is exactly what Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Persian Empire, did to build the ancient world's largest empire. After conquering a region, he left existing local rulers, officials and administrative structures in place under this very central idea. The idea that this was the most conducive to peace in a region following regime change. Trump laid the groundwork in his first term under the Abraham Accords. In this, his second term, he's seeing it through and the Gulf states are stepping up into a new era. They finally agree on the importance of fighting the crazies in their own backyards and now they're taking action. We've never had that before. Never had that before. We've also never had anybody like Pete Hegseth, secretary, best secretary of war ever, says Il Donato Trumpo, and he plays this clip for us. I think he's done a very good job. Do we agree he's done a good job, Mark? Can we take some of your time? Well, thank you, Mr. President. You're spot on. Never in history has a modern military, Iran had a modern military, a modern Navy, a modern Air Force, modern air defenses, leadership, massive bunker, never has a modern military been so rapidly and historically obliterated, defeated from day one with overwhelming firepower. The air campaign that we've conducted, that Israel's conducted alongside us, was one for the history books, truly. And it's because we have a president of the United States that when he sends his war fighters out to fight, he unties their hands to actually go out and close with and destroy the enemy as viciously as possible from moment one. And that's why we see ourselves as part of this negotiation as well. We negotiate with bombs. You have a choice as we loiter over the top of Tehran, as the president talked about, about your future. The president has made it clear that you will not have a nuclear weapon. The War Department agrees our job is to ensure that. And so we're keeping our hand on that throttle as long as it's hard, as it's necessary to ensure the interest of the United States of America are achieved on that battlefield. This is not Iraq and Afghanistan. This is not a president who's interested in vague end states. He's been very clear with us about what we need to accomplish, creating the conditions for them never to have a nuclear capability. And that's exactly what we're doing in historic fashion. Thank you. And they're also continuing to work one right now with Russia and Ukraine, of which I believe they will be successful. And so I hope that no matter what happens regarding those conversations, that an agreement can be met and that we can ensure that our future in this country with future generations of Americans are free from having to deal with Iran's nuclear conquest. I just want to be very clear about. So the foreign information warfare and all the war and stuff is playing out. Secretary Hegseth is out front as a leader doing what President Trump has asked him to do. And he's with the military operation, I believe, that's playing out behind the scenes that's been going on for a very, very long time. And then he makes another move and brings the Mark Mullins in. And this guy doesn't look like he's going to be messing around. Listen to what he says. And President Trump brings him into the Oval Office and says, you're going to run DHS now. And he lets him speak. Thank you. I think that was the most nervous I've ever been. I don't. It just seems surreal being in the Oval Office and having the President of the United States speak so highly of me and then recognize my family and know my family by name. It's humbling. And I never take it for granted. But I've made this very clear that I don't care what color your state is. I don't care if you're red or you're blue. At the end of the day, my job is to be Secretary of Homeland and to protect everybody the same. And we will do that. I'll fight every single day. Today, I got the privilege of meeting so many of the employees at DHS. These employees have been there for 30 days without pay. And if you need anything to know their dedication to show up and still protect the homeland that you and I enjoy and the freedoms that we're experiencing, they're working with for free. Because of politics, that's all I need to know. I told them if you're fighting 365 days, understand, I'll be fighting 365 days besides you. No one's going to outwork me. And I'm not going to let any of them outwork me. The President doesn't trust me with this. And failure is not an option. So thank you so much, Mr. President, for this opportunity. He did so under pressure on the basis of public outrage that stemmed from a break-in at DNC headquarters. It's an act of lawfare, you might say, or maybe better said, political espionage. Today, the media and my Democrat colleagues have fallen conspicuously silent when confronted with a scandal that in some ways is of much larger proportions because it involves the official law enforcement apparatus of the U.S. government in a much more direct way than that one did. President Biden's systematic weaponization of the Department of Justice and federal law enforcement against his political opponents is a development of staggering proportions, and by development, I mean scandal. Just like the Watergate break-in, Arctic Frost was ultimately an attempt to sway the results of a presidential election. But this comparison may even be unfair to President Nixon, who never attempted to quash dissent by putting the opposition candidate in prison for trumped charges. Now, thankfully, the Biden administration failed in that misguided effort. President Trump was elected by the people to become the 47th president of the United States, but we have to ensure that this kind of lawfare can't occur again. Mr. Chamberlain, I'd like to start with you. Your testimony focuses, among other things, on an FBI recording of a 2023 phone call between Susie Wiles, who was at the time managing President Trump's presidential campaign, and her lawyer. Now, according to the FBI, the lawyer was aware of the recording, but isn't it true that the lawyer denied that he had ever consented to that arrangement? That's true. That was widely reported. And if, in fact, the lawyer did not consent, your testimony today is that this would have been and was an illegal wiretap by the FBI in the absence of her lawyer's consent with the FBI. That's correct. And the FBI designated this as a prohibited file to prevent anyone from finding out about it. That seems to be correct, yes. Okay, so they did something they weren't supposed to do, then they designated it as a prohibited file to cover it up. Now, in general, should the president be able to direct the FBI to spy on the campaign of his political opponent? Absolutely not. And isn't listening to a private conversation between a presidential campaign manager and her lawyer in many ways much more serious as an abuse of government power than an attempted wiretap of the DNC headquarters in Watergate? Correct, because there's two interests being invaded. First, it's just the wiretap generally, but then it's doubly invasive because it's supposed to be a privileged conversation. A privileged conversation, which regardless of who's involved in it, is supposed to be privileged. And that takes on additional flavor and additional degrees of seriousness when that person happens to be a client represented by a lawyer who happens to be managing the presidential campaign of the then incumbent president's lead and exclusive challenger, effectively. Susie Wiles, she's still there. She's still doing a good job. Julie Donuts, the fraud that's been happening for decades is finally coming to light. California is a disaster. Gavin Newsom sold out and has committed so many crimes. He's done. We found in Minnesota probably about 10 in California. That's how bad it is. And what we're hoping in this investigation is we have the same success we had in Minnesota with whistleblowers coming forward, reaching out to me or other oversight committee members to sit down and do transcribed interviews so that we can finally figure out who's responsible for this fraud. What we know in California, just with respect to hospice, of all the government entities, hospice is the one that I don't think there would be anyone out there that wouldn't have full support for hospice at our worst time of need. Hospice alone, three and a half billion dollars just in Los Angeles County. And what that amounts to, Shad, is the whole hospice budget for the United States last year, 18 percent of all the billing was in Los Angeles County. And that's not 18 percent of the population of America. In that one county, and it's a big county, 18 percent of the entire billing for the United States. It is rampant in California. A lot of veterans there, a lot of military, go to the Padres games and hoping to see some changes there. I like to think I'm data-informed, market-informed. The revenue per day to Iran is 300 million dollars from oil and oil equivalents, five million barrels a day. That is, that's 10 billion a month, 120 billion dollars a year that they use to sponsor terrorism around the world for 47 years. Enough's enough. And you have an emperor, whatever you want to call Khomeini, whose mission was to end the Western way of life. The question I have is, what took 47 years? He's one of the most well-financed terrorist organizations that the world has ever known that showed no remorse, no hope of abating. We didn't deal with them. They ignored the deal from day one. There's just no other side of this trade. No other side. These terrorists receiving billions of dollars to create their infrastructure so that they would attack and destroy this entire earth. They did it undercover. They did it with their agents of lies, media, movies, their politicians that are under, all of them and more. And they just can't stand the fact that they're finally getting destroyed. These 13 families that control the entire earth, who worship Satan, we've had enough. That's right, the politicians. Remember, October 29, 2017, we were told many in our government worship Satan. Even the Democrat party, the DNC, had their pentagram set up with their worship of Baphomet, with their supposed logo, when flipped on its side, showed us who they really belong to. They're trying to get through the system and more and wake people up to the biblical message of money, which deals with gold and silver. As I reported to you in December, in previous administrations, our chaplain core was infected by political correctness and secular humanism. The core functions of the chaplain core were changed and watered down until they were viewed by many as nothing more than therapists. Faith and virtue were traded for self-help and self-care. We started correcting that drift then, and today, we're going further. The crucible of combat tests more than the body. It tests conviction, character, and spirit. The military's chaplain core serves as the spiritual and moral backbone of our nation's armed forces. Chaplains help forge spiritual readiness across the force. And that matters because in combat, in crisis, and in loss, a warfighter needs more than a coping mechanism. They need truth, big T truth. They need conviction. They need a shepherd. And as I've said before, spiritual health is equally important to a service member's physical and emotional health. This update is part of our efforts to return the chaplain core to its core mission of serving the spiritual needs of our warfighters, 82% of whom identify as being religious. Today, I want to update you on two reforms we are undertaking to further make sure we're making the chaplain core great again. In December, I told you that we were going to revamp the military's current faith and belief coding system, renaming it the religious affiliation codes. The previous system had ballooned to well over 200 faith codes, 200. It was impractical and unusable, and many codes were never used at all. An overwhelming majority of the military population used only six of the codes. Our internal review committee recommended that going forward, the department use 31 religious affiliation codes. This brings the codes in line with its original purpose, giving chaplains clear, usable information so they can minister to service members in a way that aligns with that service member's faith background and religious practice. The second reform I want to tell you about today concerns chaplain rank insignia. The memo I will sign today directs chaplains, all of whom are officers, to replace the rank insignia on their uniforms with their religious insignia. Their rank will not be shown. This speaks to the difficult balance of the duality of a military chaplain. A chaplain is first and foremost a chaplain and an officer second. This change is a visual representation of that fact. Specifically unique to the role of a chaplain, they are first and foremost called and ordained by God. And while they will retain rank as an officer, to those they serve, their rank will not be visible. Instead, they will be seen among the highest ranks because of their divine calling. This reform is intended to uplift and celebrate the chaplain's role as a chaplain. It also removes any unease or anxiety junior officers or enlisted personnel may have in approaching an officer, potentially a senior officer, for guidance on sensitive matters such as addiction, relationships, or struggles with faith. These two reforms are big progress, but we're not even close to being done. These are the first steps toward restoring the esteemed position of chaplain as moral anchors of our fighting force. So I'm going to show you something from a chaplain that's out there. Let's talk about my uniform. This is my rank, just this designates me as a major. But as a chaplain, I do not wear my rank on my headgear. I wear my religious affiliation that I'm a Christian, I'm a Catholic. So I wear the cross here. But I also wear the cross over here. Well, the talk is now that Secretary War has decided that we're going to remove the rank. And this will be replaced with the cross. That's my I'm just reading tea leaves here. We'll see what happens officially. But I think it's great. Because I mean, I'm more proud of the cross than to wear the cross than anything else I could put on this uniform. So I think it's great for our identity as chaplains. Looking forward to it. Interesting perspective from those out there. And the chaplaincy and I've said this before, maybe mentioned it, but when I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan as a young 19 year old Marine at Potomac Air Base, it was very interesting to me that I didn't even realize that they had a chaplaincy program on the installation, we didn't have a chaplain assigned to our unit. And it just would have been nice if you guys are listening, you know, any chaplains out there just to encourage them if they would go to the barracks, walk around wherever they're located, and just knock on some doors and just be present, you know, sit in the little way to the rooms where they have like the pool tables and stuff, especially overseas, just hang out there and then never know you might have a young kid like a 19 year old like me walk in and you're like, Oh, you're a chaplain. Yeah, we have services on Sundays, we have Bible study and blah, blah, would have been nice to know that the only time I ever really saw a chaplain for those three years, when I was on Okinawa with that unit was when we were deployed to different countries, we would see them and they would actually be in the bars, walking around and say, Well, what is that going on there? And they would really be interested in just understanding why they were there. And they were just talking and meeting with folks. And I would just see him briefly. And then they'd walk out, it was a really interesting time. So I just encourage those chaplains out there to really think about that if you're listening, or if you know a chaplain.
