Best of Bangkok in 3 Days 🇹🇭
Bangkok is the busy and bustling capital of Thailand. Perfect for exploring over the course of a long weekend, in this travel guide we’ll discover the very best things to do in the city, including top attractions and hidden gems.
On day one we’ll explore some of the top attractions close to the Chao Phraya river. We’ll begin the day at the stunning Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) before catching a boat across the river to admire the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. We’ll then head to one of the busiest markets in the city, Pak Khlong Talat, which is a 24 hour flower market supplying many of the temples and hotels across the city. It’s then time to spot some local wildlife at Rommani Nat Park before enjoying sunset at Wat Saket.
The next day we’ll get up bright and early to explore some green spaces and spot plenty of wildlife. At the beginning of the day we’ll admire the Jim Thompson House Museum before heading to Lumphini Park, one of the best places in the city to spot Monitor lizards and over 30 species of bird. Just a short walk away and we’ll get to Benchakitti Park, a forest park in the heart of the city. In complete contrast to the greenery we’ll then hop in a taxi to reach the largest weekend market in the world, the Chatuchak Weekend Market. We’ll end the day at ICONSIAM, a glittering mall with a food court basement that has been designed to look like a floating market.
On our third day in Bangkok we’ll explore quieter areas that many tourists miss. We’ll start the day at the Big Buddha before heading just across the canal to Wat Khun Chan. We’ll then head to one of the most artistic areas of the city, Khlong Bang Luang Market and the nearby artist house. We’ll end the day by exploring the street art and cafés of Talat Noi.
