Mystery Jewelry Jar Opening from a Thrift Shop: Unjarring Vintage Haul Gold Silver Costume Jewelry? #gjwfashion

Oh look at that! Incredible! Hello friends! I've been waiting all week to open up this mystery jar of jewelry with you. If you're new to the channel, I do some jewelry unboxing. I buy thrift store jewelry mystery jars. We open them up together one piece at a time and together we try to determine if they're valuable or not. So right out of the gate I have an earring. It's obviously all by itself and if you noticed in the intro I started a new project, a side project. I call it the clip-on shoe. I picked this up at a thrift store, paid a couple dollars for it. It did not have jewelry on it and earrings like this are going on to it because they're usually by themselves. So I'm trying to make something pretty out of that and also you know about the earring tree which are press-in earrings that are low all by themselves but now they have a home. We never know what we're going to find in a mystery jar of jewelry. Sometimes I find gold, sometimes I find silver, sometimes I even find what looks to be diamonds although I have yet to get a real diamond tester but that's in the works. Oh gosh look at that butterfly! That's a pretty one and I think it has all the stones. Oh that's so nice! Okay I don't see a name on the back but that is perfectly fine by me. On the label we have another earring by itself so that's good for the shoe, the shoe. Oh this one's marked. Okay guys can you read the marking? I think it says Vondome. Yes it does. That's a nice earring. Look at that. Okay it's missing one stone, it's missing one stone. It's a really pretty earring. Okay come on Value Village put some pairs of earrings in these jars. My viewers want to see pairs. So I paid $39.99 for the jar so it was a bit more expensive. Sometimes they're $29 so we'll see what we can get in this one. So this is obviously costume. I'm wondering if it's too big for the earring tree. I could try to put it on it but no I think it's a little too big. And since the last time you saw it I put some add-ons to it. I actually took a little while and I dug through all of my jewelry jars trying to organize stuff. The ones that you've already seen and oh my god I had a lot of lone earrings so I just added them to the tree. Look at that. Oh that's so cute. All right do you have a name on there? Oh we do. We'll have a closer look. No it's NVC. NVC. So plastic pearls. Plastic pearls. The necklace is perfect though. It might be a little stretched. Even so it wouldn't matter. You could still wear it. Okay NVC. Do you know that name? Let me know in the comments if you do. Oh my gosh I've been jewelry shopping this week. Wait till you see the treasures in this. You're in for a delight. It's going to be absolutely eye candy for you tonight. Another beauty. Look at that. Okay right off the bat. Missing a stone. Missing a stone. Look at that. Gorgeous. Gorgeous pendant. Unbranded. No name. Just stunning little piece. Isn't that beautiful? Oh my gosh. Okay I'll move some of this stuff out so you can see the jewelry. Okay we're getting somewhere. Whoa. Get back here flowers. There we go. It got away on me. Okay any names? No. It kind of looks old to me. I don't know. What do you think? Is it vintage? These are I think they're plastic but stunning though. Isn't that sweet? Stunning little pin. Oh my goodness another brooch. This jar is just loaded with brooches. Okay showstopper guys. Missing a few stones. Oh why did you have to be missing stones? Oh oh but anyway look at that sunburst. Oh those blues. Oh gorgeous gorgeous. I don't see any markings on the back. No markings but you know showstopper. Okay before we go too far. I picked this little beauty up at Value Village. It's blown glass. I don't know if it's Murano. Look at that. Get really close to it. Look at the bubbles. Isn't that gorgeous? Five bucks. Five bucks. It's a paperweight I guess. So yeah I it's not jewelry but I just had to show it to you. A shoe. Okay what is the deal with the shoes? I'm working on a shoe over here and now we actually have one with the jewels on it. Coming that way. So this is a pendant. Does it have a name? Oh my okay. Oh it's pretty isn't it? So you would wear it on a necklace. It would just kind of dangle like that. Okay a little shoe. Why don't you go over here with that one. Oh okay um okay this is broken. Oh here's the clasp. Okay so the clasp was here but they broke apart here. But it wouldn't fit anything. So this is obviously a part of something. Are they pearls though? Look look at that. That's nice. Okay guys I know you want me to rub these up against my teeth. Rub rub rub rub. Pretend that I did. Interesting find. I don't know if they're real pearls. I don't know. But darn. They definitely look nice. I'll give it that. Yeah we just don't know what we're gonna find in a mystery jar of jewelry. I'm so happy you guys are here. Oh this one is stamped. I just saw one of these right here. So as the show gets more and more popular I will be spending a few more bucks to show you some eye-teasing beauties such as this little gem I found. I got this one at Goodwill. I splurged. I paid $30 for it. What $30? You just bought a jar of jewelry for $39. You just bought one piece for $30. Well here's the deal guys. Some of these brooches. See they're painted, hand painted on mother of pearl. Some of these could be worth oh gosh $150. But check for a name, a signature. There's I didn't see a signature on this but when I bought it I didn't realize what I was buying. I'm like okay I'm a painter. I love paintings and this is such a good idea. Neat idea to do. I don't think it's silver but I had to have it. So one thing leads to another. I might not know everything about jewelry but I'm learning as I go. A signature would have helped this but even without the signature it's a stunning little piece. So not a mystery piece. That's what I picked out by hand. Okay on we go. All right what do we have here? We have uh okay we have a broken piece. So I also have some broken jewelry that I keep aside to make projects with. I glue stuff onto things or I attach things like on the earring tree and so there's really no really bad pieces in a jewelry jar if you're if you're kind of crafty. Oh we have a Minnie Mouse in red. Okay um would it have a signature? It has this. Oh sorry about the paint job on the nails. I kind of did a rush job today. Nothing was going my way. So yeah uh you're gonna see a little bit of paint around the edges and you know what I get a lot of comments about that. Almost makes my videos popular if I slap on the nail polish kind of sloppy and everybody talks about it and then YouTube pushes the video out further but people see my bad paint job on my fingernails. Okay so I'm gonna call this Minnie Mouse and we'll get back to this guy here. All right what do we have? Is it what kind of flower is that? I'm stumped. I know it's tropical. It's not an iris. Okay come on guys let me know in the comments. What is this flower? Gorgeous though. So it's a pin or a pendant. Dual. Great love it and it's a perfect condition. This jar is really paying off. All right oh my. Okay right out of the gate I need to get a jump ring or something to put this one back together but once it's together I'm going to have a stunning statement necklace here in blacks, golds and faux diamonds crystals of some sort and it has a nice kind of chain. No name. This feels like kind of cheap chain to be honest but this is nice and hefty. Very very nice piece. Okay gorgeous piece. Before we go too far I want to show you something. I picked up this St. Patrick's Day larger trinket box. It's ceramic for a dollar at a thrift store and then at the same thrift store oh my god they had Betsy Johnson necklaces for $15 each. One was $18. Yeah do you want to see a couple real beauties? This is the one I love the most. It's a parrot and I paid $15 for it. Betsy Johnson. Brand new. Brand new. Was it $15? Yes it was $15 and they're about $100 on eBay. I couldn't believe it. I'm telling you guys you can have a different kind of investment. Oh hear me out here. You go to thrift stores look for really good quality jewelry on the cheap. Again Betsy Johnson. Brand new Betsy Johnson. Love that and then you get a jewelry box put it in stash it away for years and years as you collect beautiful pieces and maybe when you retire you sell off everything piece by piece ebay etsy wherever you want to and you can go on your dream vacation or vacations especially if you're buying gold and silver but costume jewelry oh my goodness again this is all Betsy Johnson all Betsy Johnson you'd be surprised how much you could stash away by just shopping at thrift stores for jewelry and hoarding it literally stockpiling it ten dollars here five dollars there it'll add up over the years and if it's gold oh my god they're predicting the price of gold to go up up up and everybody's talking about gold lately isn't this nice it's a dragon i think this was 15 also one was 18 one or two was 18 and the others were 15 so this is a big piece so all Betsy Johnson i'm not sure what i'm going to do with these at this point but for now they're going to be tucked away and in my mind i have a little savings account and i can look at it i can touch it and jewelry tends to go up in value costume jewelry too it doesn't have to be 24 karat gold it doesn't have to be sterling you just gotta have it and get it on the cheap okay here's another bracelet that's nice look at that oh wow that's beautiful okay i'm gonna go clean up my fingernails here before i go crazy so give me a second okay guys i'm back there i had to retouch around the edges where i over painted that's a problem when you're almost 55 years old your eyes get bad and that's what's happening with me and i shake a little when i paint my nails and to be honest i'm too cheap to get them done and have those nice fake nails put on i'm just yeah i just don't want to pay or let anybody near my fingertips with a dremel drill to grind whatever off so yeah that's that's the story behind the really cute that'll be for a project yeah unless they have two in there oh my okay finally a ring on a nice ring too oh it's a jaguar oh my oh my i i'm in love with this ring okay and do i see writing inside get out of here no way let's have a look 18 carat h s c hold on h g e so 18 carat h g e oh wow i'll take it wow okay i love this ring will it fit no of course not if it's a little finger i wouldn't dare walk around with it i think it'll fall off but check it out it's a beauty oh my okay i'll you know what i'll leave it on for a while for luck yeah that's what i'll do i'll leave it on for luck all right what's next guys this jar is really paying off look at this little bracelet oh it's so cute adorable you have crystals this signed and yes there is an earring attached to it this i'll just show you the earring now that's a nice crystal that's a nice one beautiful pieces beautiful pieces i'm going to push this out of the way keep our jewelry tree we need a few lone earrings here that i can put on okay so we have a an earring without uh the earring part this is the hoop but look at those crystals that's beautiful nice amber beautiful beads gorgeous gorgeous guys and then we have oh this is nice that's nice come on value village put two earrings in that match everybody's watching you they know where this jar is from it's exciting and then we have this guy here that's really cute looks like an angel i think it's an angel look at that wow nice all right oh here we go isn't that nice too unmarked and this hoop earring kind of run of the mill i see these frequently oh this is a lot of fun tonight i tell you i love unjarring jewelry with you oh we have a little guy that's a nice little earring nice nice look at that imagine is that a diamond i really need to get my hands on a diamond tester asap because i got a lot of a lot and we have a very cute necklace kind of a christmas style necklace get the ruby red stones a little bit of crystals very sweet piece beautiful this jar is really paying off i'm loving it this is a really long necklace and it's broken i can tell see this end here is broken but this would be one that you would wrap around a couple times you can't see the whole thing but look at those beads they're glass they're purple and when you tilt them they run silver oh no they're purple and the backs are painted silver okay that's what we're doing here so purple on the front and then silver wow i love it i oh i love it and we have a another ring yay a little pink flower oh my aren't you beautiful oh that's so pretty yes okay you're uh kind of uh adjustable so nothing too fancy but you know whoops something came off i felt that felt it stretch off with something i was looking oh oh okay so it's like a bracelet that's completely falling apart so that'll go into the old um her crafts pile but we'll probably see some more of those stones kicking around oh my god is this for real look at that beauty oh my that is a gorgeous necklace look at that oh it has multiple strands in the front gorgeous gorgeous unmarked okay okay beautiful beautiful piece of jewelry there and we have another bracelet that has seen better days it's all stretched out and even broken oh my look at that oh this is really really stunning look at that yeah it's too bad it's too bad it's broken but it could be fixed you know somebody wanted to take the time and fix it okay this earring has seen better days it's not really in line anymore okay the old craft pile for you hmm this has a really nice heft to it very heavy do we have a name no we don't have a name inside that's all right this is a nice piece it's actually very very nice heavy i love it get close to it again yeah i love it it's a really pretty piece hell yeah sometimes these jars are impressive oh oh my oh oh what do we have here look at that geez this looks like it's silver i'm not going to say it's silver i want to get myself all excited all worked up and those look like pearls okay no they can't be they can't be they must be just plastic beads but these are really heavy imagine if those are silver imagine okay um there's the clasp and the chain is obviously original because it's the same patina on it this is a nice pendant um this is stunning actually i have to google lens it hey what do you think this is something special and by the way there are numbers up here for you guys to refer to when you talk about the pieces in the comments forgot to mention that earlier oh nice big earring and this here is a ring okay i'll keep it on it's nice it's worn it's down to the copper this little earring it may be a little too big for the earring tree but let's put it on anyway that's it okay we'll put you over there okay we have a little it's kind of like a copper tone gold bracelet it's a little stretchy um costume jewelry you know maybe not worth too much oh my this is cute okay that's a nice pendant that is a nice pendant yes that's really nice and the chain doesn't have much on it but the pendant itself that is sweet yes i love it oh kind of like an x oh wow so what do you guys recognize in this chair what's your favorite pieces and this says china on it you just never know what you're gonna find some stuff look like it's like name brand and then bam oh no china but still you got yourself a nice little bracelet there what do you think i think so i think so i want to know what your favorite pieces are you tell me in the comments have you seen something so far that's worth a lot of money that i missed or something that i thought was worth something and it's not tell us we want to know we learn from each other okay missing stones reallocate it's nice enamel though and look at the stones that are on it it's a nice bracelet and it's kind of cream yellow very cute but too bad we're missing one oh we're only missing one you could wear it you could wear it just you know i'd wear it earrings got this little guy here okay i'll take the back off of it and we have another little ring oh that's a nice one you can see the tiny little diamonds very very small i'm not seeing any names not see i don't think it's gold it's definitely gold tone a really sweet little piece there and we have another earring oh and it has a lion's head on it oh that's beautiful okay this one here can go right about here below this little tiny turtle it's a little turtle i found and you all put in i don't know maybe right there oh oops nope doesn't want to stay okay okay guys the earring tree it's getting full oh that's a beauty oh my oh look at this one that's really pretty kind of a a green turquoise color oh that's really nice oh my that could be gold plated that's a oh that's a beauty very beautiful oh here we go here we go yes nice oops so you would clamp that on onto something like a charm gorgeous gorgeous and we have a lone earring in blue here we go stunning pieces hey we've got a lot of colors in this jar i grab a handful here oh an elephant and this thing is heavy this charm is extremely heavy oh my look at that okay try to hold still look at that there's the other side i'm thinking it has all the stones all the crystals everything is intact and it's heavy like like like a lot of weight on it i guess heavy means heavy um what were you before you were you a pin so this will be for a crafting project say it's not a pin it's not really a pendant but here's a diamond ring for you there we go a nice little guy a huge stone and it's adjustable kind of says it all all right a nice wine though fun to find a diamond ring okay got a few pieces here okay this is a part off of something okay so it had something here no longer has it okay i don't see any names but that's a gorgeous piece that would be for crafting right yeah put you over there another piece that came off that bracelet and we have okay there were two necklaces together okay it's all knotted i i just can't unknot it of course if it said 14 karat gold or something crazy like that it'd be like yeah i'll take an hour and i'm not this thing but for now um the star the sun the moon on a chain and i don't see any names cute little piece cute little piece just a little too much hassle for me oh this is nice okay and it's signed so juicy couture whoops you see it there we go okay right there so a little bit tangled it's okay but look at that stone now that is a nice looking stone they're putting some nice uh quality into their pieces i don't know if you can see that really clear but just look at how it's yeah so from the side and the front that that's a nice necklace there's a tag and like there's a really big knot in it so that would take some work but wow somebody paid a few dollars for that and we have a nice stretchy little rhinestone bracelet that's a nice one too you got kind of an antique silver going on inside look at that oh my beautiful beautiful and we have another lone earring this one's kind of copper with pink pink plastic uh white plastic beads and nice pink crystals look at that wow okay okay let's move on here to another earring and it's signed okay can you read that get out the old magnifier it says park lane a park lane earring oh nice crystals or diamonds i don't know i don't know gold tone just one earring though and we have a nice little ring that's a cute one that's a cute one okay um it feels kind of like timu or sheen shin camu i tell you these jewelry jars never let me down there's so much fun oh gosh that's so nice and okay you were a pin or something but not anymore broken that's too bad it's like a wishbone with flowers and crystals that's really cute though okay oh yeah needed to have another butterfly pin look at the colors on that oh that's really really sweet really beautiful and the back unmarked all right grab us another cluster here and we have um okay this was a vintage brooch until it broke and missing the center stone so crafting project for you okay and we have a nice clip-on earring no it's not clip-on rather it goes through curves and then snaps that's a nice one i wonder if that could fit on the shoe and it did here we go give you another look at the shoe so i paid a couple dollars for the shoe at a thrift store this is an earring and this is my favorite clip-on earring ever found i love it and it has that jaguar look and just like this cat ring the jaguar so all of those all of those clip-ons are from jewelry jars i just decided to get organized the other day and start while going over them and sorting them and that's what i came up with i said you know what i'll start another project here with oh we have a second one okay well let's at least keep them together okay we'll keep them together i wasn't expecting that okay good thank you value village maybe you watch my videos oh a little snake a little tiny snake ring very small very small and this here's another little tiny ring to go with it almost there's my jaguar that's really sweet now talking about snakes a couple weeks ago in the jewelry jar you guys were talking about these like big time so we had the purple snake bracelet here that's cute and then i was like is this a flower a lotus and you're like no they're cobras so i'm like now i see it it's like cobras yeah hiss hiss and then another one on the back i see it now i didn't see it i just thought it was floral like petals of some sort and it didn't make sense but oh yeah i see the cobras and then you got you got this and yeah so it was a reptile themed jewelry jar we concluded i'll put those here this one down the corner and we have another little earring colorful look at that sweet sweet and a really stunning earring oh my gosh look at that hoop look at that nice gorgeous oh and another pin that looks vintage now would it go this way i don't think so i think it would go this way it's a red and blue and gold tone but what is the shape what's the pattern i see a flower i see a flower yeah what is it i don't know i'd like to know are we stamped it looks vintage to me i'll definitely google lens that looks nice and then we have these two bling bling things like little caps or something do they screw onto something i don't know mysteries what are these i don't know okay this went to that bracelet let's roll that there so tell me what have you seen said as the channel grows so will the haul more delightful eye teasing beauties for you and a little lone earring yes um could that go on a tree there we go and then we have some more more just broken charms and whatnot okay oh my like usual the best for last look at that what is it what was it i bet it was a clip-on earring and now it's not beautiful oh another earring for the old tree it's a quality piece so very nice missing a few stones okay that went to over here oh a couple more earrings for the old earring tree yes yes and rings galore a couple more you know what i think that this is like like a cheap set maybe five little rings that go together the gold ones here probably somebody paid like five dollars for all of them but look at this one this is nice do we have a name inside no so it's like leaves with tiny little crystals tiny little crystals okay and another earring lone earring that's gonna look nice on the tree then we have this guy here little kid's earring okay oh and again another one of those rings to go with the collection oh that's a pretty pretty earring so that one will go on the shoe put you on the shoe oh this is nice we got ourself another nice ring smoky topaz is on it's kind of a brown that's gorgeous that's a gorgeous little ring gorgeous okay another one of those okay got another one of those oh a tiny little pendant the tiniest little tiny pendant that must have came off of an earring and for the old earring tree we got you and another pendant this one looks quality though that looks quality yeah heavy it fell to the bottom could be gold could be diamond it could be you know it's it's a nice hefty little piece oh my yeah easter's around the corner we have a nice earring so that will go into the crafting pile for sure and we have one more
