Module 4: Redesigning with Health in Mind

Module 4 is based on Step 3 in the 5-step Land Reuse Model. It incorporates knowledge checks that reinforce the general learning. Module 4 defines site cleanup methods, including how to conduct a site cleanup and common site cleanup methods. The module defines healthfields and provides examples. The module introduces the Action Module and describes how to use it. The module provides resources on each topic for more information. The module focuses on community health and emphasizes health with redevelopment. The module provides a rationale for why it is important to maintain an inclusive and communicative process when working with community partners, and why it is important to establish a community vision at the start of the project in Step 1 (Engaging with Your Community).
