Traditional Chinese opera dance "Deep Night"

Teachers and students in the adult classes at the Great Wall Dance School in Manitoba, Canada, broke away from traditional program formats, incorporating opera into their dance. They skillfully combined the "four skills and five methods" of Peking Opera (such as body movements, water sleeves, and stage steps) with the physical language of modern dance. The performers used the fluttering and releasing of long sleeves to embody the balance of strength and gentleness and the delicate emotions in the music.
