The U.S. Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) program is developing next-generation vertical lift aircraft to replace aging fleets like the UH-60 Black Hawk. A centerpiece of this effort is the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), for which the Army selected Bell's V-280 Valor tiltrotor, now officially designated the MV-75. The MV-75 blends helicopter-like vertical takeoff and landing with fixed-wing speed and range, offering significantly greater reach and capability than the aircraft it will replace.
