Fated souls Have you
ever met someone like
that Clearly over fifty
yet looking thirty
Glossy hair gentle
eyes warm smile
—enough to make anyone envious
Feeling as though time had particularly favored them
Deep within you you
might quietly think
this person must have done countless
good deeds in a past life Indeed this thought of yours truly carries within
A profound and victorious secret of cause and effect
In Buddhism there is a saying
many have heard
yet few truly understand
Its weight
When the mind arises all phenomena arise
when the mind ceases all phenomena cease
This statement originates from the Sutra
Quyền Lang Lục from the Tang Dynasty
Its origins trace back further to the Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī
through the treatise Mahāyāna Śraddhotpāda Śāstra
Leave behind for future generations a key of profound significance
Its meaning is that whatever arises in the fundamental mind
The world will unfold
exactly as it is Thoughts
emotions good and evil
the choices you make
ot only determining the course
of your fate but also silently
relentlessly shaping your
very face one detail at a time
Appearance has never been merely
a surface layer it is a ledger
recording the karmic consequences
you have accumulated
in this lifetime
even from many past lives
Many people spend a great deal
of money dedicate time study
and carefully manage their diet
Sleep exercise
Yet still don't understand why
some people despite irregular lifestyles
and much worry grow older
The more refined the flavor the more
distinctive the character Meanwhile those
who are overly meticulous appear with
faces marked by fatigue and tension
This is not an unjust fate
this is karma speaking Today I
want to dive deep into the ocean of Buddhist teachings with you
o retrieve the four precious
gems that most people have
overlooked The four laws of karma
that shape a person's appearance
ruly youthful These four
types of cultivation are not
secrets or techniques but rather
cultivation and accumulation
s a way of life you can begin
cultivating starting today Before
you begin I’d like to invite you
to write in the comments sectio
This phrase
May my heart be clear and pure
may my face appear as it truly is
Not because of
any ritual whatsoever
But the moment you're
willing to say these
words you've already begun sowing the seed
And the stories the lessons you're
about to hear will help you understand
why the weight of these few words
surpasses anything you could imagine
Let us begin with a story
that took place over 1 300
years ago Summers in Lingnan
are sweltering
especially the
deep in the dense forest near the Da Du Mountains
At that moment
Huineng had just received the transmission of the dharma from Patriarch Hongren
that night
Hastily leaving Huangmai
County he left behind a group
of senior monks
who refused to accept this outcome
He was merely an illiterate laborer
never formally ordained and in
the temple he performed only the
most basic task of pounding rice
But Master Huangren the wise man
who had seen through the monks
called him privately into the
inner chamber one moonless night
He personally draped the robe over his
shoulders symbolizing the passing of the torch
The most determined
pursuer was a monk named
Hui Ming a robust man
with expert martial skills
Once a military general he ran very
fast and was about to catch up with Huineng
Hui Neng placed the robe and begging
bowl on a rock
stepped aside and said to him "This
robe and begging bowl
symbolize the transmission of faith "
Force cannot be used to seize it
If you truly desire it
take it
Hui Ming reached out to take it
but the cabbage remained
utterly still as if it had grown
right in place His hand
rose up not through effort
but in that instant he suddenly
felt something pressing down
on him deeper than mere power
He fell to his knees and said
I pursued him not for the robe but to seek the Dharma Hui Neng
looked at him remained silent for a
moment then spoke
a single sentence
This statement was later recorded
in the Six Patriarch's Platform
Sutra and became one of the
most important koans in Zen Buddhism
Neither good nor evil intention
At that very moment what was the
true nature of the upper veil
At the very moment that
question was asked Huệ Minh froze
Later he described the feeling
as if something had struck him
It struck him
Not pain but
an unprecedented clarity
surged up Sweat poured
out as if he were drenched
She felt utterly light
as if she had finally shed some burden
Many people know this story yet
they overlook a single detail
According to records Hui Neng concealed himself in
Lingnan for 15 years living
harmoniously among hunters
Life was extremely
simple with no
external conditions for practice
no temples no scriptures and no
virtuous companions on the path
Anyone who met him during
that time said his face
had an indescribable glow
It was not merely a flush
of health not
a light emanating from outside but rather a glow arising from
within almost the quietude of stillness
itself He looked younger than his years
yet he was still
very young standing out conspicuously among a group of hunters
Later he himself
said fifteen years had passed
We do only one thing:
keep our mind steady 不让杂念四处奔腾 and prevent
emotions from accumulating
Whenever a deluded
thought arises
They all clearly
see it then
let it go Not suppressing
not avoiding—just seeing it
then letting it go He said
This is harder than
any other practice yet
more direct than any
other Here the shadow of
of the first kind of causality
But I haven't decided to clarify
it just yet
because knowing only the four words "calm mind" is not enough
You need to see other
stories to
truly feel the
weight of it Let our
gaze extend further back
During the time of the Buddha 's
presence in the world he
came to a woman named Mālī
Queen Mālī was the queen consort
of King Bhatanaka of the kingdom of Kausala
This name appears
frequently in Buddhist scriptures
more often than many thousands of monks
because her story touches
on so many profound issues
concerning beauty fate and karma
Yet what has been passed dow
The most touching and profound
aspect of her is her humble
origins When Mạt Lợi was born
people said she was just a girl
utterly ordinary unremarkable
appearance her face no better
than that of a common
garden servant she was not beautiful at all
Some even said she was
somewhat unattractive But she had a habit nurtured since childhood
No matter who she was talking to
She pondered silently beforehand
Once these words are spoken
will the other person be
hurt Will they feel sad
If so she let it go without saying or
found another way This is not
weakness or flattery
but a deep tenderness from the very depths of the heart
One day
the Buddha passed through that garden
Mạt Lợi offered food
to the Buddha's bed
The Buddha accepted it and looked at her for a long time
King Bát Nhã Nặc stood
beside and asked the Buddha
Lord what do you see in her
The Buddha said
This woman possesses great blessings
and in the future she will become a paragon for all under heaven
King Ba Tu Nặc initially couldn't
believe it How could an ordinary
maid possibly bear
such a prophecy Yet
fate had its own design
It's truly miraculous
Once the wheel of fate
begins to turn no one can
stop it Not long after
Through a series of
seemingly random coincidences Malili truly became the queen of
King Batunak
What was even stranger was
that as her position changed her appearance
also shifted It wasn't because she
had money to buy
expensive cosmetics
but because everyone noticed she was growing more beautiful every day
Beauty gradually revealed
from ordinary features
radiating an elegant aura
captivating and impossible to look away
from like a flower suddenly blooming
Later the Buddha explained this
matter The reason Lady Mālī 's
appearance changed was due
to karma she had accumulated
Long-standing kindness means
kind and gentle
words She never
spoke words that hurt nor used
language to belittle others
Do not speak ill of others
behind their backs and never use words to gain
advantage over them This kind of karma accumulates to a certain degree
like water seeping into the
ground slowly and deeply
penetrating her aura her
senses her very way of being
With every moment
Someone might say
this is ancient legend
how could it possibly be true
But I want you to consider
Is there anyone like that around you
The speaker always speaks gently never
complains never
hurts others and their
words carry a subtle warmth
en thinking about that person's
face isn't there always a special
pleasant feeling that makes you want
to look again It's no coincidence
This is the fluidity of
language Over the long unbroken
years bit by bit it carved
the shape of that face
Language is not just sound it is
energy a signal you
send to the world
through your voice every time you
form a thought That signal ultimately
She will return to you
The story of Lady Mài Lợi
is far from over
for later she would do something
leaving the entire court astounded
and making the other half of this
story all the more thought-provoking
But this matter is related to
Regarding the third type of cause and
effect I'm about to
describe I'll temporarily leave you here and take
you to meet someone else Among the many disciples of the Buddha
There is a spiritual story that is
not as renowned as those of Ananda or
Śāriputra yet to those who truly delve
deeply into the study of Buddhist teachings
The story he told concealed the
deepest secret about vital energy
This monk was named
Sudatta the very person who
later became known to all
as Elder Citta of Jetavana
This name alone tells a story
Cấp Cô Độc
meaning one who provides food
to the lonely
omeless
He is not a monk
but a lay practitioner and a
wealthy merchant of the highest rank
wealth enough to make an ordinary
person dream of for a lifetime
without ever achieving it Yet
he used that money abundantly
continually almost without calculating
the return giving generously to
orphans the destitute the sick and those
who practice the path of renunciation
o build the Jetavana Grove for Prince Jeta
The garden later
became one of the most significant
residences
of the Buddha and his disciples
According to records
when Sudatta purchased that plot
of land the garden owner jokingly said that
He had to cover the entire plot with gold before selling it
Tu Dat Da had truly used a golden
elephant laying down gold tiles one by one
Everyone around him thought he was crazy but
he just smiled and
said This is a rare fortunate
opportunity I could
offer to the Buddha
And even with a
large following and vast wealth it still wasn't enough What was interesting was that Tu
Dat Da didn 't
become impoverished because of this
business
Conversely his assets seemed to have
a miraculous compensatory mechanism
the more he gave
always finds a way to retreat from another direction
Even more strangely
his health condition is excellent
remarkably stable
a refreshing spirit
In those times
he lived to a very great age
and it was said that even in his old age
His face still bore few deep wrinkles his eyes
always bright and shining
The Buddha Himself explained
The cause of Tu Đạt Đà's state
The Buddha said
True generosity
is not merely the transmission of material things
but rather a release of energy
When a person gives freely with
genuine compassion
without calculating
return without ulterior motive
The state of giving itself is
already a vibration of extremely
high frequency This vibration
nourishes the giver's body and mind
elps circulate blood and qi
relieves nerve tension and
keeps cells well-nourished You
may experience this sensation
In daily life
When you genuinely help someone
that feeling
is not exhaustion
but rather a certain
lightness a clarity within
the heart—direct proof
of the power of generosity
It's affecting you
Most people only do that
occasionally but Tuddhada
does it his entire life
And thus the result is a lifelong accumulation
This is the essence
of the third kind of causality
But I have not yet defined it
Saying it all here would be incomplete
because Tu Đạt Đa's story has one final turning
point and that turning point is closely tied to the ultimate type of cause and effect
coming up next
These two things if separated
would be incomplete Now I
want to take you to meet someone
This person is a presence
e most remarkable in the history of Buddhism
His story
is the most shocking and admirable of these four types of cause and effect
He was Ananda also known as
Anan Ananda was the
cousin of the Buddha On the
day he was born the Buddha
had just attained enlightenment
so he was
named Ananda meaning joy He followed the
Buddha for 25 years serving
as his close attendant
Never step away even half a pace
He had a distinctive feature
that the other disciples
of the Buddha did not possess: his appearance
The beauty of Ananda is
extensively described in Buddhist
scriptures to the point that it
later became a well-known story
Almost imbued with a legendary
aura They say his appearance
was as beautiful as a full moon
dignified as a lotus in autumn
So handsome was
he that he often caused no small trouble
there were girls who upon seeing him wanted to marry him
even going to great lengths to approach him
The most famous story
involves the girl Madanga
The one who used the enchantment on Ananda nearly caused him to
break his vows
but what intrigued
people the most was not that
How handsome is he and why
is he so handsome And why
as he grows older does he
still maintain such a state
That incredible face
When the Buddha was still
alive Ananda once asked a
question in
front of everyone
Lord among all his attendants
Why is your appearance so different
This question is very direct
so direct tha
Many people present felt awkward Asking why
he was so handsome in
front of everyone sounded
Unlike something a practitioner should say
But the Buddha did not laugh at him
but replied very seriously
Ananda
In countless past lives I made
a vow: whenever I see someone
more beautiful than myself I
sincerely rejoice with genuine joy
Rejoice and praise not envy
Whenever I see someone worse off than myself
I feel compassion and heartfelt kindness
but not contempt This joyous
appreciation and compassion accumulated
over countless lifetimes has become
the foundation of their very nature
of him in this lifetime
There is one matter more important
Ananda served the Buddha for twenty-five years
During that entire time
He maintained an extremely
strict personal code When serving
his mind remained undistracted
and free from idle thoughts
Completely focused
on the present
moment fully surrendering to the task at hand
Twenty-five years of dedicated practice
twenty years of upholding precepts—the
strength of his resolve permeated every part of
his being down to the very cells
e flesh the very posture
of him and the
light in his
eyes Gender in the common
understanding is restraint
It means doing
nothing at all But the deeper meaning of "chi
giới" in Buddhism is
gathering collecting
Collecting the vital energy of your life
already in a scattered exhausting
state projecting outward returns
inward becoming a deep rich reserve
A person who is always scattered
draining its vitality your face
will have a certain sensation—what
is it This feeling is hard to
describe but you'll
know it immediately
His gaze was unfocused
his aura scattered
—though young he carried no weight at all
Then there's one who has upheld the
precepts for many years deeply focused
and absorbed his whole being like a
deep well its bottom invisible to the eye
That spirit makes one
appear youthful at any age Well
then four stories
now stand before you
The serene mind of Huệ
Năng the kind words of Queen
Mālī the compassionate generosity of Śāriputra
and the resident
preceptor of Ananda
These four clues may
initially appear unrelated
but in reality they
all point to the same thing Now
What we need to do is gently
pull each of these four wires straight
so you can see what they
truly reveal behind the surface First
Speaking of Huệ Năng's serene mind
Many regard
form arising from mind
as a metaphor meant to inspire
Considering that a good mood
makes one look younger is true but
only on the surface The theoretical
meaning in Buddhist philosophy
Far deeper than one might think
The Kinh Hoang Yêm says
If one wishes to truly understand the three lives of all Buddhas
observe the nature of the Dharma realm
Everything is created by the mind
This mind that creates says that every phenomenon in the world
including your own
face is a manifestation of consciousness
Your concept is not merely a psychological activity it
is a force at the physical
level Modern
quantum physics
It has even reached this boundary
Consciousness can influence
the form of matter This is no longer mere dead speculation
but is a direction that can be
verified through experimentation However
Buddhism goes further not merely
discussing the impact
of a single thought
but rather the accumulated
mental state sustained over a long period and how it leaves its
mark at the level of the body
Fifteen years spent by Huineng
in Lingnan his inner mind
remained continuously serene—
not a suppression of emotions
but truly not
controlled by emotions
Anger comes he
sees it Fear arises
The wall appears he sees it See
it then let it go Maintaining
this state produces a
genuine physiological effect
Stress hormones will not remain at high levels for prolonged periods The immune system will not
experience chronic inflammation
Cells will not be corroded by
prolonged oxidative stress From
the perspective of modern medicine
prolonged negative emotions
especially stress
anxiety and prolonged
resentment are the deepest underlying
drivers accelerating aging chronic
inflammation speeds up the process
collagen degradation
shortened telomeres
These have been strongly supported by extensive research
Yet Buddhism has spoken of
this for thousands of years
Protecting one's inner conviction
is the key to maintaining a
youthful body—this is no coincidence
but rather proof of wisdom
They anticipated science by thousands of years
But a calm mind is not an empty mind
nor is it a numb one
Not everything is indifferent to me
Calmness of mind means
having a stable center in
any circumstance unshaken
by external conditions
Not overwhelmed by emotions yet fully
感受ing life fully
present in the moment
This state is the first principle
and the foundation of all principles
Next comes the courteous
words of Lady Malili
Language issues in Buddhist teachings
carry far greater weight than most
people imagine In the Vinaya Pitaka "
avoiding speech" is
a distinct category
Standing equal to avoiding ants
avoiding thought patterns
This is no coincidence
The Buddha fully understood the power of language
and thus specifically listed it
as a contemplative practice The
complete definition of abstaining
from false speech is not to lie
false speech not speaking deceitfully non-divisive
speech not speaking harshly not using
abusive language
without uttering vain or meaningless words
any speech
Translated into modern language is
do not lie
do not speak words that divide
Do not use harsh words to attack
others nor speak meaningless
things You might wonder
how this relates tolerance
Deeply connected Each time
you say something hurtful to
someone what is
your emotional
state Anger dissatisfaction
It's a feeling of superiority a form of
defense These emotions are physiological stress responses at the bodily level
triggering a cascade of
physiological reactions
Moreover what was your expression
the moment you uttered those
hurtful words Your raised eyebrow
the downturned corner of your mouth
That hardened gaze—after repeating
thousands tens of thousands
of times—what traces
will it leave behind You know yourself
The long-standing good fortune of Lady Mien Lo has
not only brought favorable connections and blessings but also because
she has always remained in a state of
emitting a calm benevolent aura her
entire facial expression emotional foundation vibrational
frequency and energy field radiated harmony
They all form a
healthy cycle Speaking kind words
nourishes oneself first
with that positive resonance
And even deeper Buddhism
teaches that language is karma
Karma is simply habit the
power of accumulated
tendencies
The way you speak will over time
become one of the
most important architects of your destiny
because language
The way you
choose to establish relationships
with the world will shape you in return
The third merit of generosity
practiced by Sudatta is
the most remarkable aspect of this merit
is its counterintuitive nature
Ordinary logic would suggest
Giving leads to loss
But in the law of giving and receiving
what is given returns
and the return often exceeds
Your imagination
The fact that Tudda's wealth did not diminish
but instead increased is proof
on the material level
As for his health condition it
serves as evidence on the energetic
level The original meaning of "Tử
bi" is to share in others' suffering
ot empathy but presence
when a person truly
opens themselves up
to another's suffering
What happened right then was
an incredibly deep connection a
blurring of the boundaries between
myself and the other person
This blurring of boundaries from the
perspective of spiritual practice
is the beginning of enlightenment
From the standpoint of psychology
s the release from the chronic
rigidity of the ego's self-centeredness
Those who live in a state of
enduring compassion and generosity
Chronic stiffness caused by
attachment to the self within their
bodies will gradually relax deeply
This relaxation is not merely mental
but also physical—
muscles connective tissue cells Do you see
those people who are truly flexible Their
entire bodies possess a fluid grace
ot weakness but a tenderness
emanating from deep within
their bones that tenderness
shapes their very appearance
It is never feigned
Finally the steadfast
precept of Ananda
This precept
many have heard of
felt oppressed
as if practicing
Buddhism meant suppressing
desires and living in suffering
But the precepts in Buddhism
The original meaning is close
to character Temperament is a
natural way of
behaving that flows
from within not something forced
Imposing restrictions from the outside A
person truly observing
precepts is not forcing
themselves to do nothing but because their inner mind has
become so clear and calm
They no longer find behaviors that disrupt
life force and drain
natural energy appealing
Just as a person who has eaten their fill no
longer feels an urgent craving
for food a person whose inner self is
fulfilled also experiences no craving
To grasp the stimuli
Ananda's restraint
combined with 25 years
of dedicated service
produced a powerful inner strength
Incredibly profound and dense
And willpower is the most profound protector
of vital energy
The greatest source of energy depletion
The hallmark of modern life is mental dispersion
Scattered thoughts attention constantly leaping
from one thing to
another simultaneously juggling
multiple concerns and reacting impulsively
With intense stimulation this
dispersion drains vital energy
more than any physical labor
Contemplation and focused dwelling
At its core it's about doing the
same thing: gathering your scattered
life energy from countless points and
uniting it into a clear pure stream
This stream will
nourish every cell in your body These
four causes and effects are now
clear A calm mind kind speech
Generosity and ethical conduct
meditation and mindfulness—these are not
parallel relationships but a unified
whole that supports one another
Mutually deepen one another A
person who cultivates natural
tranquility will
speak kind words
A person who speaks kind words
Their compassion naturally flourishes
A person with compassion finds
keeping precepts not a restriction but
a natural expression of their heart
but a natural expression Four
individuals united all striving
toward one outcome—a youthful radiance emanating
from within
what time cannot take away
Knowing these four kinds of cause and effect
the most important thing is how to proceed
o bring them into your real-life experience
I want to give you
four very specific exercises
requiring no prior foundation
No matter what
subject you don't need to spend much time on it
every day But if you're truly willing to
do it and persistently
follow through
The results will surprise even you
Exercise One
Morning Stillness
Every morning
before you pick up your phone
Before starting anything each
day take three minutes for
yourself Just three minutes
Sit or stand close your eyes
Take three deep breaths
then silently repeat this phrase within your heart
May every thought that arises today
be rooted in goodwill
That's all no need for more no
need to meditate for too long
The meaning of these three
minutes is that before your mind
When your mind remains unaffected by any external
influence you have established
a direction for your mind
That direction will become the
foundation for all your thoughts throughout the day Over time this
foundation will grow
stronger and deeper
Ultimately becoming the
fundamental layer of your being
Exercise number two
Language detox experiment in 21 days
I want to invite you
to try an experiment
For the next 21 days
Be mindful of the words you speak
You don't need to force yourself
to say only positive things
but whenever you notice
I'm about to say something
harsh a criticism a
backbiting remark about
someone—pause for a moment
Wondering what effect these words
will have on the other person and
the surrounding environment if the
answer is negative
swallow them back
or expressed differently
You will see
just this single pause
has changed so much
The lady's kind words
It's not that she never gets angry
nor that she always speaks kindly
but that before speaking she
takes an extra step within herself
That step is
the difference
Twenty-one days is an important cycle
forming
habits After 21 days
you'll notice your way of
speaking beginning to change
subtly and the responses you
receive will change accordingly
Exercise 3
One Act of Giving a Day
This exercise is extremely simple
so simple that you might feel
it lacks professionalism
but its power has been
proven over thousands of years
Every day seek an opportunity
to give something away
could be a tangible thing
such as just a cup of coffee
an item you
no longer use or it could be time itself
spend a few extra moments talking to someone
it could be the attention
when someone else is speaking
truly
Completely focus your attention on them It could be a
compliment—when you see
someone doing something well say it out
loud instead of just thinking it to yourself
The essence is not about giving something
but about the
state of giving—unconditional
without calculating return
It's only because it has the ability that it can do so
When you practice this every day
your mind will gradually shift from a
state of defense focused on holding
on to what you have
to one of abundance
I have more than enough to share
These two states have completely
different physiological effects
The state of abundance is relaxing
Being open is nurturing A defensive state is
rigid draining and causes
you to wear down quickly
Siddhartha gave generously throughout
his life not because he was rich to
begin with but because
he started giving
that he became increasingly prosperous
This logical sequence is worth reflecting on
Exercise Four
Digital Disruption
and the Ritual of Specialization
The essence of Ananda's practice of
sustained precept observance is maintaining
the integrity of one's
vital energy undisturbed by anything In the modern era
The greatest
vulnerability is the small
glowing square box you see every day
I'm not asking you to completely give up your phone I myself can't do that
either But I'd like
to invite you each day
to set aside a dedicated period of time
could be the first hour
after waking up or the
last half hour before
sleeping During this time
Keep your phone out of sight
You only need to do one thing— reading a book
going for a walk
cooking or simply doing nothing
Simply sit and feel your
own breath The value of this
time lies not in what you
do but in what you stop doing
Temporarily divert your attention away
from the state of intense mental strain
passive depletion and continuous drain so that
it quietly comes to a halt
At times it will be present within your
body Gradually this ability to
absorb will grow stronger
You'll notice your attention
becoming increasingly stable
work more effectively the
quality has greatly improved even
your demeanor appears more
substantial more
composed and grounded
as a certain aura that draws others toward it
These four exercises
correspond to four types of causes and effects
mental clarity kind speech
Generosity ethical conduct and mental
cultivation are not separate practices
but rather a single interconnected
web When you excel in one aspect
The remaining categories will
follow naturally
You don't need to
be perfect with
all four at once Start with one and do it sincerely
Take it seriously
so it takes root easily in your life first
then gradually add the remaining three
The Dharma has never demanded
You must soar into the sky in a single step
It demands that you truly take
each step one by one along that path The
one who walks the path
and those who sit
still waiting for a miracle will over time have
completely different expressions
on their faces The fortunate ones
I'd like to conclude
today's content with a question But before
that question I
need to say something
—about the ending of the story
Gotama and Queen Madri
whom I deliberately left
behind In the final stage of life
Tu Dat Da's assets had
nearly been exhausted
The prolonged giving of large amounts
combined with some family setbacks
leaving him extremely poor
By the usual logic we
apply this should be a
clear contradiction of causality He
was so good
Why does life end in suffering
But when the Buddha came to visit
Sudatta was lying in the sickroom
His body was extremely weak
but his eyes sparkled with light
The Buddha taught him a meditation practice
that guided him to recall
each good deed he had done in his lifetime
During that moment of
recollection Siddhartha wept
He wept not out of
regret nor from sorrow but from
joy He said he thought
about the moment whe
He had given so much throughout
his life helped so many
people That sense of fulfillment
and relief made him feel
I am the richest
person in the world When
he passed away his face
was calm even glowing
All disciples who witnessed him later
said the dignity of his final moments
was even more beautiful than when he
was young carrying a profound solemnity
and the feeling cannot be described
This is the result of generosity
When you reach the deepest point
it does not promise you
A lifetime of abundant material wealth
It gives you a true abundance
that surpasses any material possession
An inner fulfillment
Yet no matter how old or poor one
becomes or how much is lost that
cannot be taken away The end
of the lady of profit is no different
In her final years she did one
thing: publicly acknowledged
her past mistakes before
her husband the king of Ba Tu Nặc
This takes tremendous courage But
she said she would
rather speak openly about all the impure things
Better than letting them weigh heavily on my heart
After speaking
she described the feeling
as if a burden she'd carried for so long had finally been lifted
Both the weight and the face feel lighter
The end of these two stories
points toward the same thing Youthfulness
's not about the
absence of wrinkles or
gray hair but about an inner lightness
It's the peace of mind that comes from
being truly honest with oneself A state in which no matter your age you can still
look into the mirror and recognize yourself
Not ashamed not
avoiding carrying that
faint sense of
contentment That state—
No makeup can create
it no cosmetic
technique can replicate it—it comes from only one thing
The way you live this life
Your beliefs Your language
Your attitude toward others
Your expectations
of yourself
These things accumulate
from day to day ripple year
after year and ultimately
shape the face you have
Become your essence the moment you stand there
Become something you can't help but notice
as you grow older—do people look at you and
wonder if they can't help but glance once more
Therefore the final question I want to ask you
isn't
whether you'll start doing
these four things but whether
Right now after watching this video what is arising
in your heart Is it the
lightness of being enlightened
Is it the urge
to begin changing
Or is it a quiet confirmation
that you've known these things
all along—just needed someone to
Tell me please
Whatever it is
that feeling in itself is already a seed
The seed has been planted
You don't need to dig it up
every day to check if it's growing just remember
to water it And watering it is
simply making small thoughtful choices
What you do today tomorrow
and the day after shapes the path
of a single hope Did you speak
a kind word
Perform a good deed
A period of quiet
dedicated retreat
Sow such seeds reap such fruits
This is cause and effect
That is the simplest truth of life
One Who Has Destiny

you are planting for yourself
