Oh, it's one right going right hard so then.
Yeah, similar. He's had one.
Smart shot there from Bradbury.
Yeah, good part so much happier from that distance.
The pace is right, the stroke looks smooth up.
Back to back birdies, gets within four.
Interesting play, makes it.
Great drive from Bradbury.
Here at the 11th and a terrific second shot.
Dan Bradbury this to get to 15.
That was a little smoother that stroke and he joins
Jarvis in third place within three of the leader.
Back to the tee at 12 Dan Bradbury John.
Little shake of the head, but he's safely on the green.
Nicely a hold and that keeps him in the hunt.
Bradbury nicely down the right hand side.
Much better angle for Bradbury. He can put some spin on this.
Come on back. That was a bit disappointing for him.
Look good through the air for Dan Bradbury right over the pin.
To make birdie at 14 to move within a couple
of Brandon Robinson Thompson. Duplessis will be
paying close attention to this one.
Nicely hold, he's made a couple and really nice putts on this back nine.
Well done Dan. Back to the tee Bradbury.
Oh he likes it and very quickly down to pick up his tee.
Oh over the road she goes. Perfect.
Right should have eyes for only one thing and that is that section to the
right where the flag is. It all gathers nicely as long as he can find
Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Well they were talking about what it was
playing and they had two clubs in their hands so clearly in their in their mind.
So clearly the wind playing a part of it and picking the wrong one
because that's long. Also down into the little bowl.
Beautifully done. A really nice touch from Dan Bradbury.
Yeah I do think you'll see some birdies in these last two or three holes. I think
that's going to make the difference. That's a golf shot at the right time.
Bradbury for birdie at 16. This to tie the lead.
Would have started that right hand bunker with a little bit of a draw.
They're happy with it. Yeah good hit to sort of 90 up that left hand side.
Nice and short and aggressive through the ball.
Yeah that's a classy golf shot. That's exactly what he needed. Kept it down
ignored the breeze. Bradbury to tie Robinson Thompson.
Huge putt. Let's see if he can maintain the rhythm that he's had with a putt
on the back nine. It was a little bit short and a little bit
chubby but who cares? Who's asking questions? It's in.
Beautifully holed. Yeah it's just the right distance wasn't it?
Exactly he seems to be as good as anyone from sort of 12 to 15 feet.
That is absolutely as pure as the driven snow. Yeah it's perfect isn't it? It's got
it far enough down that you can actually have a go at that flag.
Beautiful rhythm but he's tugged at left.
Oh long and it is. That's awful. I don't think he was expecting that to
be long. I think he was expecting that long and left and
sort of find the green.
He's not hanging around.
Oh what a chip that is. It wasn't a convincing sound
but it is brilliant. Yeah it was nice and clean I think which is the good thing
about it. I just I did believe it was an easier chip than the putt from 50 foot
trying to get something going left or right because it was naturally falling
towards the hole but I didn't expect it to be stone dead.
Sublime from Bradbury. Yeah now he can afford a smile.
Dan Bradbury taps in and he wins his second
Joburg Open title with a closing 65 and a wonderful up and down at the 18th.
Marcus Armitage comes in and congratulates his good buddy.
How we doing big fella? That was some finish.
Talk us through it Mr Bradbury. You are the Joburg Open champion. How does that
feel? Sounds pretty good. Again? Again yeah. Yeah to be honest I thought
I'd lost it on the front nine. I had so many chances I just didn't
take anything but yeah feels really good to put it together
on the back nine there. That was probably not expecting it to be honest
and he was playing so well. But yeah feels amazing. Where did you
see your gap come from during the course of the round?
I think it was probably when I birdied nine I was like okay like
I've played the back nine quite nicely all week so I knew I had chances
and then yeah once I got 10 and 11 standing on 12 I was like right okay
I'm back in this now. So yeah and then I mean Casey and
Brandon obviously played amazing and saw their names on
the leaderboard all the way around. It was
pretty tight wasn't it but yeah somehow managed to get it done in the end.
What's it about having that you love so much? You've done it again round here my
friend. It was only three years ago you picked up that trophy.
It's probably similar to Wakefield where I grew up. It's quite tight tree-lined
got to drive it well. Did that and then
put a pretty solid this week although it didn't feel amazing. Got the results so
that's all that matters. Will the party start straight after this
and when you go home will the party keep on going? I'm not actually going home for
three weeks. Going home after India so yeah we'll be
going down to Cape Town and enjoying some of the
some of the wine farms down there that'll be that'll be nice.
Well deserved. Well fought my friend. Thank you. Appreciate it. Cheers guys.
Ladies and gentlemen please put your hands together
for a second time now the 2026 Joburg Open Champion
Dan Bradbury. If I could ask you to do the honors and please hand
the winning trophy to our champion Daniel.
