Elon Musk Just Revealed SpaceX's Gravity Starship Space Station, SHOCKED NASA and China...
In our previous video, ""ISS is in Big Trouble! SpaceX Shocked the Whole Industry to launch Starship's space station"", we explored the billion-dollar potential of commercial space stations and why SpaceX has a serious edge using Starship to build one.
So today, let’s take that conversation further. How exactly can we make it happen?
One of the biggest challenges in space is zero gravity. It quietly tears down the human body—bones weaken fast, muscles shrink, and eyesight blurs as fluids drift the wrong way. And that’s not all. Without gravity, everything floats. Eating, sleeping, and even just moving around become awkward and exhausting.

To fix this, back in 1903, Russian rocket pioneer Konstantin Tsiolkovsky came up with a clever idea—what if we could create fake gravity using centrifugal force? He imagined a spinning station, as a bucket of water swung around, where the water sticks to the bottom. The same motion could push astronauts “down” and mimic gravity.
This concept stuck with generations of engineers, even inspiring Elon Musk. In 2021, Musk mentioned that SpaceX had thought about tethering two crewed Starships together to spin and generate artificial gravity on the way to Mars. The effect would be small—somewhere between 0.004g and 0.045g—but enough to keep drinks from floating away and help astronauts stay healthier during long missions.

And while this might sound futuristic, it’s actually been tested before. On September 14, 1966, the Gemini 11 spacecraft was tethered to an Agena target vehicle. Astronauts Pete Conrad and Dick Gordon gently rotated the two connected crafts and managed to create a tiny bit of gravity—just 0.00015g—using centrifugal force.
But for a permanent space station in low Earth orbit, we’ll need much more—somewhere between 0.3g and 1g. That’s where Starship could truly change the game. Imagine 10 to 20 Starships arranged in a circle, each linked by strong cables to a central hub.
Each Starship would serve as a huge living or working module—offering more pressurized space than the entire ISS. Some could house sleeping quarters, others gyms, hydroponic farms, or science labs—all designed with floors that feel like Earth thanks to centrifugal force.
