I don't like listening to myself.
Yeah, when we're tired, we're tired. When we're funny, we're funny. And when we're acting,
we're busy working. Well, you just offended an entire country. I offended an entire country.
And we love you all. Congratulations on another fabulous season. Thank you. I'm always so
obsessed by your love for each other and the way you convince with each other. It's just a
beautiful thing to watch. But Selena, what has it meant to you over this past five seasons
to be with Martin and Steve on Only Murders in the Building? It has been a wonderful addition
to my life. I feel extremely lucky to be in the company of two legends, but also they don't act
like they are, you know, then that's the best part is being able to, you know, work along them,
learn from them. And it's yeah, we have a laugh at all. And when we're tired, we're tired. When
we're funny, we're funny. And when we're acting, we're busy working. Yeah. But but it's just
really it's really a good time. And everyone is kind and elegant. That's important. I like that
kind of elegance. I mean, I'm going to use that one. I think it's important to be elegant, too.
Well, what it is, there's a difference, though. We're kind and elegant. And Steve is kind of
elegant. I like that sort of thing. This season, we were introduced to a brand new billionaire trio,
Christoph Waltz, Renee Zellweger and Logan Lerman. So, Steve, how has the initiation
for new cast members evolved? Is there a fruit basket? Is there a marching band?
Like, what does that look like? Well, unfortunately, because we're forgetful,
we just sort of go high. We're glad you're here. And the truth is we should send them flowers and
big, big deal. But also because they're all very experienced professionals that just kind of used
walking on a set and get to work and hit the mark and an act. So I don't think they're angry.
Yes, we do. Do we send them? I don't know if we do, but you know that we you know, I like to write
letters or notes for people that have like been a part of our show. It's yeah. And if we have a
sixth season, I'm going to start writing notes. Yeah, yeah. I love that. That's a lost art.
Yes, I agree. Well, what's what is a lost art is addresses.
Because we communicate so much through email, we don't have anybody's address anymore.
Well, you have forty five assistants. Couldn't you have them? Oh, I don't. I have forty two.
Well, Beanie Feldstein joins the cast. Yeah. A plus. Yeah. So good. So good.
So she's a pop star, you know, sings her own music and dances her own music in the air.
Selena, what one of your songs gets you moving and grooving when you're on your own?
That is not something I do often. You know, every I will I will say when I'm with my sister
or we're in the car sometimes like who says is one of the songs that but I was 16 and that's
more of a nostalgic feeling. But no, I I don't I don't like listening to myself.
Well, we do that. We do that for you. We do that on Martin. You've given us,
you know, Canadians so many more reasons to love you as host of the match game streaming on Crave.
So what was that gig like? Oh, it's fun. Selena was on. Yeah, I know. Killed it. I don't think
you got any points for the contestants. I did not. No, but she was fabulous and funny and loose.
And Cara, how funny was Cara Delevingne? Would have been on it, but I found the game too
complicated. I was going to ask, where was your invite? Because Beanie was on it, too.
Now you can't get Steve is too big. Too big. I answered when he calls me. I answer going no.
You know, Steve, there are so many multiple generations that are obsessed with this show.
What does that mean to you to see it get so much love?
Well, I don't I don't think of it as love, but I'm I'm glad that people are like the show of
generations that I truly feel honored. I guess I don't know. Happy. I'm happy about it. You know,
that I met this age and still have a nice career with a hit. And it's just impossible. It just
doesn't happen. And yet it did. And it's fabulous. Last time you mentioned you loved Tim Hortons
grilled cheese. Have you had one lately? Oh, Tim Hortons. That was a while ago.
Yeah, that was a while ago. And honestly, I was expecting. Who am I going to offend when I say
this? I was expecting a really wonderful, you know, grilled cheese with white bread with a slice
of cheese with mayonnaise. But you just offended an entire country. I offended the entire country.
But I love Tim Horton as a soccer player. Hockey. Hockey. And congratulations. You all
win your first SAG Awards as a cast this year. That's right. Yeah, right. And Martin,
you picked up your own personal statue. You had your own win. What does it mean to you? And how
did that energy and that love from your peers energize you going into season five?
Well, I think it had we shot yet? No, we. Well, I I observed that when you came back,
having won your best acting award, that you just had a little bit of edge on you. I did. Yeah. A
little bit of arrogance. And, you know, I'll handle this. I just found I would say to Steve,
you're going to say it that way, you know, which I had held back for many years saying
now it's great. Listen, the SAG Award is a fabulous award because it's given by your peers.
And so it's the greatest honor you can imagine of your peers saying we like you.
Thank you so much. Thank you very much. Thank you. Can we do that over?
