These are some of the strangest structures I have ever found on Google Earth so I decided to go on an epic adventure to go explore them.
To do so I would need to travel and hike to some of the most remote places on the planent from isolated mountain summits to secret islands, this adventure was a wild one!
I really hope you enjoy this adventure video and I would love to know what you think of this new format of doing multiple Google Earth locations in one adventure vlog?

These are some of the strangest structures I've ever found on Google Earth,
and I decided to try reach them in person to find out what they really were.
But this was not going to be easy,
because they are found in some of the most remote places on the planet.
So to reach them I would need to embark on one seriously epic adventure.
The first structure we'd be checking out is this strange white circle
found on the summit of an isolated mountain in the Faroe Islands.
There are actually two white circles up here,
and they are definitely man-made, but I have no idea what they could be.
So I jumped on two flights, a boat, and then drove through this cool looking tunnel,
until I finally reached the starting point for my hike
that would hopefully lead me up the mountain where these strange structures are located.
I don't really know much about this trail. My research is almost zero.
Right now, what a place to start my hike.
Damn, this place is beautiful.
I had no idea at the time,
but this was actually going to be one of the toughest hikes of my life.
But for now, I was blissfully unaware of that fact,
and was really enjoying the scenery I was hiking through.
Although it did come with some challenges.
There's not much of a trail at all.
The problem was, there was no official trail
leading to the structures I'd found on Google Earth.
So if I wanted to reach them, I'd need to connect some shepherd tracks
and hope that I could figure some way up the mountain.
I am in an insanely stunning crater,
and I can see the structure I'm looking for on the ridge in front of me, way up there.
But to reach it, I still had a whole lot of hiking to do,
and the closer I got to the base of the mountain, the tougher the terrain became.
But then, just as I was leaving the valley,
I spotted something strange sitting on the rocks up ahead.
What is this?
Super unusual.
Whoa, we got an entrance.
I had no idea what this thing was, and looking inside didn't help either.
So I continued on my hike.
I was finally getting close to the structures I'd found on Google Earth.
But before I could reach them, there was one final massive obstacle that stood in my way.
All right, guys, I'm on the final bit of ridgeline before we head to the summit.
Oh, it looks intimidating.
It's going to be really hard and really steep and rocky.
Let's do this thing.
This was going to be the toughest part of the entire hike,
as I now had to climb 725 meters up to the summit of this mountain.
It looked so steep, I wasn't even sure it was possible without rope.
But there was only one way to find out for sure, so I began to climb up.
But as I began my trek up the mountain,
I quickly realized there was an even bigger problem
that could threaten to end this whole adventure.
The fog is coming in.
I lose visibility here.
This gets a whole, whole lot harder.
It had now become a race against time to try reach the summit before the fog rolled in.
Because if I was still climbing when it hit,
there'd be no way to find a safe route up, and things could turn deadly fast.
This has been super intense, but awesome.
But the hike was about to get a whole lot more intense.
As I climbed closer to the summit, the mountainside suddenly turned into a sheer rock face.
With no other choice, I had to start rock climbing.
Each move had to be precise.
One wrong step and it could all go horribly wrong.
And if the fog came in now, I'd be completely trapped, unable to go up or down.
So I pushed myself to climb carefully but quickly.
And finally, the terrain did start to smoothen out.
And before long, I stood at the summit.
Oh, yes.
Oh my goodness.
Oh, we made it.
That was incredible.
That was one of the hardest hikes I've ever done.
It was right at the edge of being too much for me today.
But oh, we're here.
We're in the summit and I can see the structures ahead.
Now with the hard hike over, there was only one thing left to do.
And that was to explore these structures and find out what they could be
and why on earth they were all the way out here.
Also got this thing here to know what it is.
I'd never seen anything like these structures before.
But with some research, I was able to uncover what they were.
And the answer is pretty wild.
So these are actually the remnants of a NATO radar base built in 1963.
It was part of NATO's early warning system designed to keep an eye on Russia.
But here's the craziest part.
They are actually talking about reopening this radar station.
So it may become a restricted military site once again.
And staying on the theme of restricted military sites,
let's get off this windswept summit
and head somewhere a bit more sunny for location number two.
So this tiny island was actually a top secret military zone for hundreds of years,
completely off limits to everyone.
And no one knows exactly what the military was doing here.
But using Google Earth, I spotted these mysterious structures hidden in the trees.
So teaming up with my friend Oscar,
we're going to try get onto this island
and explore these strange structures
to see if we can uncover what the military was really doing here.
But first, a word from our sponsor.
All righty guys, this thing right...
Okay, never mind.
Slight butterfingers here, but that's okay
because this here is the HotWave Cyber 16 Pro rugged phone.
And as the name suggests, this phone here is designed to take a beating.
It still feels a bit weird to do that, to be honest.
It's waterproof, dustproof,
and designed to basically withstand anything you can throw at it,
which is perfect for people who love adventures like me.
And maybe you?
One of my favorite features is the massive battery that this thing has.
It's 6,280 milliamps.
It's also got a 108 megapixel rear camera.
And something that I think is pretty cool,
and also kind of a little cute,
is the fact that it's got this little mini touchscreen on the back,
which is actually very handy.
And that's because you can actually frame up selfies or vlogs
using this screen here in the back.
It's also got, which is a bit mental, night vision.
I don't know a phone that has night vision,
but this one does because it's just a beast.
It's also thin, lightweight,
and the display is honestly really, really nice.
And it genuinely feels like this phone has been made with adventurers in mind.
I cannot recommend the HotWave Cyber 16 Pro rugged phone enough.
It was a mouthful to say.
I will not lie.
Did I get that the first take?
No.
But is this an awesome phone?
Yes.
Hit the link in the description or the comments below
and check out this epic adventure phone.
It's a beast.
Oh, amazing news.
The boat has arrived and the adventure can begin.
Franny with the boat.
Thank you so much, man.
So now that we were on the boat,
it was time to make our way over to the island and start exploring.
Now, it may look like this island is very close to land,
but it's actually found in a cluster of very remote islands.
And before it was abandoned in 1988,
the military would have likely shot or arrested
anyone daring to get too close like we are now.
I think this is our island here.
It's separate from the entire other place.
Wow.
Super jungly.
This is the toughest bit.
Very graceful.
We had reached the island and our goal now
was to try reach these structures I'd seen on Google Earth.
And luckily for us, right away we found this concrete path
that seemed to be going in the right direction.
But as we followed it,
we quickly discovered something completely unexpected.
So just beside the trail, we've come across this.
How well is it working?
You reckon you can get us out of here?
Let's go, go, go, go, go.
It seems like it could start up actually.
That's very wishful thinking.
This is amazing.
Look at this.
All right.
But continuing to follow the trail further up,
we then discovered something even crazier.
Wow.
All righty.
We have come up to a bunch of abandoned buildings.
One huge one here, medium, small,
and even more going further back.
This feels like a Call of Duty map, you know?
It does.
It feels like we're about to start a team death match.
I hope not.
I really hope all we're doing is exploring.
We're just walking around the first abandoned building,
just looking for a way inside.
All right, we're around the front of it now.
Okay.
This is odd.
Someone has hanged up their shoes and towel to dry.
It could be the fact that someone else is on this island.
Maybe someone is actually living here.
If you're homeless, this is a perfect place to kind of set up camp.
But as I continued to look around the first ruin,
Oscar came across an even stranger discovery just outside.
What?
This is weird.
There is loads of shoes.
It's not really something you would do, especially these hiking shoes.
Or maybe they didn't leave.
Are you being creepy?
Oscar's trying to creep us out.
All right, this is the big building here.
So I'm going to get on my face mask and then head in.
So I'll see you soon, Oscar.
Don't leave me for too long.
Keep an eye out for the shoe thief.
Wow, it is quite a mess.
Same within here.
Got some more shoes down here.
People really love to leave their shoes here.
That genuinely scared me.
Thanks, Oscar.
Here we've got a fridge.
Nothing inside.
And we got this room closed right here.
Tons of scratchings on the wall.
Look at that.
I wonder if the soldiers did this before they left.
Some of it looks very official though.
1988 is a date.
This would be when this was still a military base.
Got one more building here.
Oh, now this is in good condition.
The light bulb is literally there.
I don't think I've ever seen that before.
What's crazy is there's just so much rubbish in here though.
We've got some bedding out here in the corridor.
Oh, wow.
We got loads of beds here.
And here, oh, we found the toilet.
It would not be an exploration video if I didn't find where the toilet was.
And that is the best conditioned toilet I've seen.
So with that wonderful discovery,
it was clear that these buildings were once where the soldiers lived.
But we were still far from the structures I'd spotted on Google Earth.
So we pressed on.
Now a concrete path was gone,
but there was still a faint trail to follow.
However, as we hiked deeper into the island,
we suddenly ran into a problem.
So we got two ways the path can go now.
So whatever this trail is leading to must be somewhere on the summit.
Now, luckily for us, we got two people.
Oski's going that way and I am heading this way.
See you soon. Good luck.
Bye. Have so much fun.
Stay safe out there.
I'm finally free from Josh.
Oh my goodness, that was exhausting.
I'm just going to chill here while he explores and pretend I went hiking.
No jokes.
Yeah, we're basically on the highest point of the island
and it is a bigger island than I thought.
Oh my goodness.
This is the problem with this island.
These spiders, they're really tough to avoid.
This is fun.
Well, I think I have found something here.
Oscar, I found something.
I'm no military expert, but I'd say this is a gun tower.
Let's see what's on the top.
I mean, what are these?
They look like little missiles.
Plastic.
Look at this.
This is a massive bunker entrance.
All right, I think I got to head inside.
This looks amazing.
I wonder if Oscar's found a bunker too.
Got these big old metal drums.
Okay, we're heading in now.
Okay, we got loads of big bones here.
It curves around here.
This could be the entrance to the underground base that Josh is looking for.
Hi, Josh.
I'm going to go back and find him and inform him of these discoveries.
Oh, Jesus Christ.
That spider that I just mentioned walking up the hill,
walking down the hill, right in my face.
I walked straight into the web.
Oh my goodness, this place is huge.
Big metal door here.
Big empty room here.
Some sort of table there.
Here you go where they'd have wiring on the wall.
But this bunker goes very deep.
Whoa, it goes up there.
Goes up there too.
Stay down here first.
This is a huge room.
Uh-oh, I can see Josh's backpack.
Let's hope he's okay.
Uh-oh.
I have a bad feeling he went into the terrifying, dark,
doom-like, dark tunnel into a mountain.
I'm not going to go deep in because I've got no mask,
but I'm going to go like a few meters in.
That is too scary for me.
I'll give it 10 minutes.
If I hear nothing in 10 minutes, then I'll start to get worried.
Whoa, it goes so much deeper.
I cannot believe how big this tunnel is.
I'm just walking to the end for now.
Wow, oh my goodness.
What is this?
It just keeps going.
I'm just going to keep going deeper for now.
Yeah, it's a bat in there.
This says 1972 on the wall.
This is a Tai Chi soldier.
Let's continue exploring.
Whoa, oh my word.
This place is such a maze.
Lots of bats.
Lots and lots of bats.
Got a humongous room in here.
Oh, we're in the pillbox now.
This is so awesome.
And here you can actually see where they would have mounted the gun.
That is insane.
There must have been a huge gun mounted on this.
Look how big this mountain is.
In here, you'd be able to shoot out.
That is pretty crazy.
All righty.
We are coming back out.
He's back.
Oh, I'm back, Oscar.
He's back.
Oh, Oscar.
I thought I lost you in the bunkers.
I mean, you did.
I was worried.
I was actually worried.
Really?
Because I called your name and I didn't even hear the footsteps.
Yeah, I didn't even hear you, man.
I was yelling before going in.
I heard you met a friendly spider.
Met a friendly spider.
You stayed very calm, I'm sure.
God, I missed that spider.
Having now explored the area of the island I'd seen on Google Earth,
it was clear that these structures were actually the outlines of defensive pillboxes
and bunker entrances.
It was clear that the military had converted this island into a massive fortress
with a huge system of underground tunnels that led to lots of different defenses.
But there are still so many questions left unanswered.
What exactly were they defending all the way out here?
And why the fake plastic rockets?
Well, those answers would have to wait
because it was now time to move on to our third and final location.
Hidden deep in a remote mountain range is this weird looking structure.
To me, it looks like some sort of ancient ruin.
But I've never seen this shape before.
So let's hike out to it and try solve this mystery.
But getting there wouldn't be easy.
See, here you can see the official marking of the trail.
But that's a trail.
In Montenegro, the real trails are like going off trail in other countries.
But it makes for really fun, actually.
It's really fun.
This was the first of many mountains I would need to summit on this hike.
And doing so would not be easy.
Because not only was the terrain steep,
but also even though I was following a trail,
it clearly doesn't get many visitors.
Because this is what it looks like.
But pushing on up the mountainside, I was soon rewarded for my efforts.
We've made it to the first minor summit.
As you can see, I still got a big old mountain to climb there.
Progress!
Continuing on my hike, I soon passed the summit of the first mountain
and headed deeper into the range.
The trail surprisingly improved at this point
and I was able to make some really good progress,
flying past the second mountain summit.
But then suddenly, something very exciting caught my eye in the distance.
I can actually see the structure there.
That's awesome.
All right, we are not far.
Well, we're far.
But I can see it.
But little did I know that things were about to take a drastic turn
and the hike was about to get a whole lot tougher.
But first, I came across some cool discoveries.
I am on some sort of old structure.
Don't know what it is.
Probably an old bridge.
This might have been connected to the ruin we're going to.
Oh, would you look at that?
That's a nice sight.
I am definitely dunking my head in that.
Mountain cold water.
Absolutely perfect.
Let me give you a quick little water review.
Oh, delicious.
I have just come across a stroke of luck.
I have got power pylons just here.
Going right through the valley, right towards the structure I'm trying to get to.
Literally perfect.
So along the side of it, it's all been kind of cut.
So there's this kind of sort of trail I can just kind of follow alongside.
Oh no, my luck might have just ran out.
It is a lot more overgrown now.
This might not be possible.
I've come into the side forest beside the pylons.
I'm making my way through the trees.
It's not too densely naturefied here.
So hopefully what I can do is just switch from forest to pylon area to forest to pylon area.
But as I push deeper into the nature, things were about to go from bad to worse.
We'll figure out a trail, I'm sure.
Oh, lovely.
This tree has lots of spikes.
What a treat.
It was tough work pushing through the thick thorny nature.
But eventually I did manage to leave the bushes behind and reach this incredible clearing.
I am really following barely a trail.
It just feels more like following like animal tracks.
Whoa, I'm getting my first look at this castle.
Oh my goodness.
Let's go get a closer look.
Wow.
Oh my goodness, it looks epic.
There's the entrance there.
All right, this seems to be the inner tower.
There's not much, not much left in the ruin.
However, you got some carved out stuff.
Maybe a shrine was here and you still got the windows that you'd be able to shoot out of.
To say the obvious, but it definitely means that this is some kind of defensive building,
you know, like a castle because these windows are designed to shoot out of and not be able
to be shot in.
If I had to guess though, I would say by muskets, not by arrows.
They seem too small to be able to shoot arrows from.
Found a carving in the stone, like a cross, I think.
This ruin is located in an incredible spot, surrounded by 360 degrees of jaw-dropping
views.
But what's just as incredible is the mystery behind this place.
Despite hours of research, I couldn't uncover any concrete answers as to who built it or
when.
The most popular theory is that it is a fortified watchtower constructed by the Ottoman Empire,
but the exact date still remains a mystery.
I really hope you enjoyed this adventure and a huge thank you to HotWave for sponsoring
this video.
If you are interested in checking out the Cyber 16 Pro rugged phone, then head to the
link in the description or comments.
Also, please do let me know what you thought of this new format, doing three locations
in one adventure rather than just one.
I'd love to know your thoughts on which you prefer and where I should go hike next.
Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the next adventure.
