This easy baked chicken breast recipe is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Chicken cubes are baked under a creamy egg and sour cream sauce with cheese, tomatoes, and herbs. Perfect for a quick, healthy, and delicious family dinner.
Ingredients:
• 2 chicken breasts
• 2 eggs
• 70 g hard cheese (grated)
• 7 tbsp sour cream (any fat content)
• ½ tsp lemon pepper
• ½ tsp dried Italian herbs
• Pinch of black pepper
• Salt to taste
• ½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 fresh garlic clove, minced)
• 1–2 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1–2 tomatoes
• Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
1. Prepare the chicken.
Cut the chicken breasts into small cubes. Season with salt and black pepper directly on the cutting board.
2. Prepare the baking dish.
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Spread the chicken evenly in the dish.
3. Make the creamy topping.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, dried Italian herbs, lemon pepper, garlic (powder or fresh), a little salt, and sour cream.
Add about two-thirds of the grated cheese into the mixture and stir well.
4. Assemble the dish.
Pour the egg and sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken.
Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds and arrange them on top.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over everything.
5. Bake.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
