If you're doing well, we're back with a makeup tutorial.
It's the perfect time to start doing spring makeup because spring is literally around the corner.
Even though I'm filming this on probably the rainiest day in March yet, but like, it's fine.
Like, I'm gonna ignore that completely.
And you know it's officially spring because look what I got in the mail.
It's a new blush from Rode, Candy Apple.
This screams spring to me, so let me show you the perfect spring makeup.
I'm so excited.
Okay, you know I like to start with the skin, okay?
So I'm gonna use this foundation from Shiseido because it's super, super lightweight.
This is not the actual packaging.
What's cool is this, but when they sent it to me, like, obviously this is not my shade.
But they also sent every single shade in this mini container.
So just so you know, I'm using this foundation, but it just comes in this package.
This foundation itself, it's so, so nice.
Like, it's light coverage, okay? Because I prefer that.
Incredibly hydrating.
So, so skin-like.
And look how it glides.
Look at it.
This might just be a tad too dark for me.
Well, it's fine because it's so fine and lightweight that it blends really, really nicely with my skin.
And then with some concealer we can correct that darkness if necessary.
For spring, I think it's better to go a little bit more lightweight on formulas.
So for this first step, I just want to even out my skin.
So not really worry about covering any imperfections like acne marks and stuff.
I just want a thin layer of foundation or any product you choose to use.
So it sits really nicely on the skin.
And we don't end up with lots of product that is just gonna make the skin look cakey.
As you can see, the skin looks super glowy and beautiful.
Oh, look at that glow!
Like, that's not my glow.
Like, my skin is not this hydrated, like, at all.
I'm gonna bring back one of my favorite bronzers ever.
This is what I basically use all summer long, all spring long.
Like, the way this blends on the skin is absolutely insane.
The color is a little bit more warm, but that's exactly what I want.
I want to bring some warmth to my skin.
Because in spring, we're coming back to life, okay?
How beautiful is it?
Just can't get enough of it, honestly.
You know, I usually wouldn't recommend to apply it directly onto my skin.
But as you can see, this is blending out like a dream.
Doesn't move anything underneath.
So this is very, very beginner-friendly.
Lazy girl-friendly, okay?
That's me.
But also, how satisfying is it that you just blend it
and it comes out perfectly fine and you have no issues?
Like, hello?
Okay, I just blended all the high points of my cheeks and my temples,
my nose, and whatever's left.
I'm gonna run it right underneath my jaw.
Another trick, again, with whatever's left,
instead of running it around your whole neck,
because I know that's a very usual thing to do,
just run it in the center of your neck.
This is going to make sense.
Trust me, this is just going to make sense.
This is going to kind of make the appearance that this goes backwards, okay?
It just looks so good and so cohesive with the rest of the face.
Now, for the start of the show, yeah, yeah.
I know it looks super intimidating, but I think it's so beautiful.
Okay, for this one, I would never go in directly onto the skin.
Like, no matter how well it blends,
this is an intense color, okay?
So the best thing to do is rub it with the brush
and do not go directly with this.
Like, this is still a lot.
You have to go in onto the hand first
and now you have a more even distribution of the color
and now you can go in.
And as you can see, it's instantly blended.
This is so, so pretty.
You don't need too much.
You can apply more later if you need,
but just less is more, okay?
A little bit on the nose, of course.
That is not a little bit.
That's way too much on the foundation brush.
Just go over it a little bit to tone it down.
That's so much better.
We might revisit this later.
Sometimes when you're done with the whole makeup,
I mean, you kind of miss a little bit of the blush.
For anything else, let's go with a little bit of concealer.
I'm going to use usual NARS in shade Creme Brulee.
Tiny bit on my inner corners here
because I always have redness there.
And now spot conceal a little bit here.
I'm going to be quite generous with the spot concealing here
because I also want to take this time
and kind of color correct the foundation
that was fine a bit darker than I would like.
Oh yeah, that's what I'm doing with this
because it's a lighter shade.
Now let's let that dry down for just a little bit
while I cover my lashes again.
I have already done this before, but I feel like they just fell.
I was just looking for an eyeshadow
and suddenly it's 30 minutes later.
I've just got procrastinated so hard.
Let's let me consider that's probably stuck to my face now.
You know what? You know what? You know what?
I'm going to use a hydrating spray
to bring everything back to the same level of hydration.
Okay, this is working.
Remember to do it in tapping motions
because we have many products underneath
and we don't want that to move around.
I'm going to go back with my blush brush,
tap around.
I'm not picking any more product,
but I just want to blend everything together.
If you feel like it, you can even go back to the bronzer brush
just to make sure everything is fully blended together.
One of my favorite parts, it's got to be the freckles.
I personally do freckles all year round,
but I feel like during spring, it's like,
yeah, it makes a little more sense, you know?
So I'm just going to go in.
And the key to naturally looking freckles
is doing different layers
and also placing the freckles,
maybe a little bit of random places, okay?
So I'm applying some on my temples
under my eyes,
not necessarily where they are most aesthetic,
a little bit all over
because people with natural freckles,
like they have them all over,
they don't choose, you know?
They don't choose.
So once you have a little bit of a base layer,
kind of quite diffused freckles,
you can go in and do some more,
a little bit more defined.
So maybe just a few of them
and I'm also going to do some beauty marks
that I'm going to do this for some pimples that I have.
And this is a nice way to kind of blush them.
Sometimes I like to go again with the blush brush
also to integrate the freckles
a little bit more into the makeup
so they don't look like they're just sitting on top of it.
And this kind of making looks like
they're coming from within,
like they're natural.
But let's do some powder now.
For the powder,
I want to keep my skin as dewy as possible,
but I obviously don't want my makeup to move around too much.
So I want to set it in very specific places
and with not too much powder.
So I'm grabbing my loose powder.
I prefer loose powder for this,
but you can use your,
you can use a pressed powder if you prefer.
I like to make sure the bristles are very nicely coated
and there's not an excessive amount of product in there,
like very nice and distributed.
Now I'll make sure there are no creases
and very lightly I start tapping under my eyes.
This is the first place I set.
As you can see,
with how well the powder is blended onto the brush,
you're applying just the necessary amount.
You're making sure it's being set.
But you're not overwhelming the face with a bunch of,
with too much powder, you know?
When a powder meets a cream,
you want to tap.
You don't want to swipe around because like things get messy,
like there's not,
it's not the same medium,
you know?
So when you combine,
you need to make sure you're careful.
So just tap around.
Once you feel like it's set already,
if you want to put more powder,
you can then swipe around lightly and that's fine
because you already have powder there.
Powder meets powder, it's fine.
Cream meets powder, perfect.
Okay?
Feel like it's an easy approach to makeup and that's fine.
I'm not going to set anymore
because I want that dewiness to come through.
Let's move on to the eyes.
I couldn't find the shadow that I really, really wanted.
It's a specific shade of the L'Oreal stick eye shadow,
like cream eye shadow,
but it's fine.
We'll do something else,
something along those lines.
But I'm still going to keep using some cream eye shadows
because I feel like that's really easy to use,
very beginner friendly.
I just love how fast and easy they are.
So first I'm going to grab this,
hello!
I'm going to grab this Nabla Cupid's Arrow in shade Mauve.
Okay?
These aren't just eye shadow sticks,
they can be used all over the face,
so they're very multi-purpose.
I actually love to use some of the shades for a lip liner
and they do not look like they are so, so good.
We might do that later,
but first of all,
nothing on my eyelids
because this is already,
this is enough as base and eye shadow.
So I'm just going to apply that a little bit all over the eyelid,
one eye at a time.
I'm going to blend this with a brush.
You see how well that blends?
It's absolutely crazy.
They were so, so good.
Now we have a really nice mauve base for the eyes.
All right, so this was shade Mauve, right?
Now I'm going to grab the same thing but shade Pecan
and I'm going to bring this to the outer corner.
I'm going to concentrate it there,
bring it in just a bit.
And now an even darker one.
This is shade Brown.
I'm going to apply it very close to the lash line
until on the lower lash line.
Add a little bit as well on the inner corner to create balance
and with the same brush,
I'm just going to blend that out.
And this is very easy because you don't have to be precise,
but look at the difference.
Look how much more defined this looks on another layer,
but that's totally up to you.
Looks like we did an eyeliner,
but you saw me, I didn't.
Just blended it out.
One last final touch.
This eyeshadow, this cream eyeshadow from Fenty.
Get on top, okay?
I love this shade because it's a very cool tone shimmer.
It's just so beautiful.
I'm going to apply this in the center of my eyelid.
Give it a little blend.
I don't want it to be super obvious,
just a hint of light right in the middle.
And I'm gonna add that to my lower lash as well.
And I'm gonna leave the lower, the waterline alone.
I don't want it to be too dramatic.
Okay, let's go in with some mascara now.
I feel like this spring makeup calls for a very defined,
separated, long lash that just sticks for itself, you know?
For that, I'm gonna choose this sweet, sweet mascara.
And I absolutely love how this mascara looks on my lashes.
How cool is this mascara?
Makes them super defined.
Let's finish off this look with a lip combo.
And I'm actually gonna use one of the eyeshadows that we used.
Because again, it's not just an eyeshadow,
it's meant for your whole face.
And I'm gonna use shade Pecan.
Yeah, shade Pecan.
Like, look at this shade.
It's just the most perfect thing.
Trust me, when these dry down, they don't go anywhere.
And they are so comfortable.
That's like, they have everything.
Now, another super exciting product.
New Rode Lip Peptide shade Pretzel.
Both the blush, the red blush and this new lip peptide,
they are from the newest spring collection.
So I thought they were very fitting for this makeup.
Let's see how this one goes.
Ooh, it has shimmer in it.
It smells so good, oh my god.
Wow.
Oh, this is so beautiful.
This is everything.
Oh, I'm so excited.
Okay, we're done.
This is the finished look.
