This dance is inspired by the famous Chinese drama The Untamed. Some of you might recognize this famous song, “Wu Ji”.
红尘中毁誉得失如何去量，萧萧血热刀锋凉。山高水远，又闻琴响，陈情未绝 笑世事多无常。

“Wu” represents the connection between Chinese dance & Chinese martial arts — 舞（wǔ）means dance & 武 （wǔ）means martial arts.

UC Berkeley Fei Tian Dancers (FTD), Cal Wushu, and Cal VSA Lion Dance presented a joint end-of-the-semester showcase for the Spring 2022 Semester! Similar to our previous Fall 2021 joint showcase, “Wu” showcased a wide range of Chinese dance & martial arts performances, celebrating cultural diversity & sharing our hard work throughout the semester.
