Hey guys, as a makeup lover, I've done a lot of declutters over the years, and I've noticed
something when doing declutters. Before I get to the products I need to think about,
what do I like about them, what do I not like about them, I first go through and I take away
all the things that I know I'm not going to be decluttering. Well, today we're going to talk
about those products. Welcome to my channel. I hope that you'll consider subscribing, make sure
your notifications are turned on, and if you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up. Now let's
get to it. So for this video today, I've gone through my makeup collection and picked out
one product from each makeup category that will always survive my declutters. I guess you could
call this kind of my rider dyes. Some of these products have been with me for a very long while,
some of them are somewhat newer discoveries, but all of them have been very well tested and I'm
very confident they are never going to make it into a declutter bin like this one that's sitting
here behind me. This one's going to cover the spectrum. Budget-wise, we have things in here
for $1 up to $39. I have drugstore and high-end. I'm going to share with you guys the eyeshadow
palette that I picked out, which you know was hard for me, if you know me at all. And then at
the very end, I'm going to share with you guys one product that I think every single person should
own. So let's dive into it, starting with the easy decisions. These ones were so easy for me. Let's
start with the mascara, the Sky High Mascara from Maybelline. This is by far my most repurchased
mascara. Not only is it my most repurchased mascara, but I've noticed something about this
mascara. It might be the only mascara that I completely use up before I have to repurchase
another one. This is just my easiest everyday mascara. It does all the things, the basic things
that I need a good mascara to do. It's lengthening. It's volumizing. It's quite buildable. It's long
wearing. It holds up to mild to moderately watery eyes. So I can even wear this to baseball games,
as long as the weather's not too extreme. It removes pretty easily, probably above anything
else. It's also my go-to lower lash line, lower lash mascara. Because the brush is smaller and
it's not overloaded with product, it makes the most perfect lower lash mascara. Just to coat
the roots of your lashes. I don't like my lower lashes to be coated all the way to the end. I just
like a little kind of hint right at the root to give them some definition. This is perfect for
that. Even if I'm not using this mascara, sometimes I will use it just for my lower lashes. It may not
be my most dramatic looking mascara, but it's one that I just rely on over and over again and use up
over and over again. Another easy decision for me, the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide
Dew Drops. This I included as my primer category. I know this is technically not a primer. It's a
serum. But I'm telling you guys, if you have dry skin, this softens my skin up better than anything
that I have tried. I have tried a couple of dupes or attempted dupes for this product,
and I found some good ones, but nothing quite gives me the softness and the hydration that
this gives me. Really what I need a primer to do is just to give me a good amount of hydration
before I put foundation on my face, or the foundation is going to look awful. The more
hydration I can get on my skin underneath the foundation, the better, and this hydrates better
than anything else I've tried. Last up for my easiest decisions is my foundation, the Skin Tint
from Maybelline, the Superstay Skin Tint. Such a great foundation. I've been a fan of this for
years. I've bought so many bottles of this. I have three in my collection currently. I think I got
rid of one already that I used up. Great medium coverage. I know this says it's a skin tint,
but don't be fooled. This is not going to be a light coverage. Even just with one light layer,
it covers a good amount of what I need covered. I love the subtle pearlescent sheen to it. I don't
know if you can pick this up in the bottle, but you really do see this subtle pearlescence to it,
which is maybe why it looks so beautiful on the skin. It wears well. It's hydrating,
but it's not overly greasy or glowy to where it moves around. It's such a good one.
Now on to some unexpected winners. First off, a bronzer, the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil,
the Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer. So funny story about this bronzer. I used to own the
older packaging of this. I decluttered it. I know we're talking about makeup that would survive
every declutter. The only reason I decluttered that original one was because the packaging was
old and I had intended to pick up the new packaging. But then it took me a couple of
years to pick this one up. I finally got around to picking it up about a year ago.
I don't know what took me so long. This is such a good basic bronzer, especially if you
have light to fair skin. The formula's great. You can build it up. It's just the perfect shade
of bronzer that you cannot screw up. There are some bronzers that I love that even on occasion,
if I go in too heavy or if I don't use the right brush or maybe I just put too much on my brush,
they might look a little bit off. This one never looks off. I could apply way too much or I can
build it up and it just looks perfect. This is definitely a staple in my collection that I will
never declutter again, even if the packaging changes. Another unexpected winner is my
Buxom Plumping Lip Polish in the shade Sandy. This is also newer to me, but I am halfway done
with this thing. It is constantly in my purse. There is just something so perfect about the pearl
sheen in this particular lip gloss. It kind of reminds me a little bit of Lawless Glazed,
which I also really love. It is a plumping gloss and it's quite extreme. If you don't like that
minty feeling on your lips, this thing can be pretty strong. I just want to show you guys.
I'll put a little bit more on. There's something about ... Do you see that pearl? It makes your
lips look so full, so pretty, but it's not metallic. It's not quite that intense to where
you look a little crazy. It just looks beautiful and flattering whether I'm using on its own or
with a lip liner underneath or even on top of a lipstick. It looks good with everything.
Another unexpected winner is the Persona Cream Bronzer in Mojave. I know I just talked about
a bronzer, but I have to have both because sometimes I'm in the mood for a cream,
sometimes I'm in the mood for a powder. This is my best cream bronzer. The shade of this,
especially if you are more ... I would say even more fair-skinned than me. I'm kind of light
medium, especially if I have self-tanner on, which I do right now. This is, for my light or
fair-skinned girls out there, the perfect, perfect shade. There's just something about this. It has
almost like a sculpting kind of contour quality to it, but it's not too ashy. When you blend it
out, you get a little bit of warmth, almost even a little bit of subtle, light rosiness to it,
but because it's not too dark, it's not going to be too intense. It looks amazing on the skin.
If you like to do a little bit of shaping of your face, but you don't want to look too skeletal,
this is the perfect product to do it with, but it does give you some warmth as well,
so you can use it as just a bronzer on its own. It is so blendable and creamy. This has quickly
risen to the top of my cream bronzer chart. Up next, we have some overachievers. These are
things that are worth well above their weight in gold. Did I say that phrase wrong? I think I did.
They're better than the price tag would imply. Let's start with the most obvious one. Of course,
it's going to be the Wet n Wild Simma Brown. These are the four that I currently have sitting
on my desk. By the way, I have these in my car, in my purse at times. I also have four backups.
This is a $1 eyeliner pencil that is perfection itself. Basically, my love affair for this started
long before I even started my YouTube channel, which was quite a while ago now. It's the perfect
eyeliner pencil. I love the brown color that's very nice and dark, so it's still going to give
the same type of definition that you'd get from a black, but it gives you that subtle bit of warmth
to bring out the color in your eyes and just soften it a bit. You can manipulate it so easily.
It's very easy to smudge out and alter the shape of it, even just with your finger. Honestly,
I just draw this on. I'll just take my finger and tap it out to get the shape just right. It's so
easy to apply and to wear. It's not technically a long-wearing formula in the way something like
the Persona or the Urban Decay or the, I think, L'Oreal. I mean, any of those gel long-wearing
like 24-hour liners would be, but I kind of like that because it's not quite as pigment-intense.
It just wears effortlessly on my eyes. It lasts unless my eyes are watery, and then even if it
does wear off because I'm rubbing at my eyes, it wears off very gracefully. I never end up with
this all over my brow bone, but sometimes the gel liners, I do, even though they're supposed to be
24-hour long-wearing, they're just so rich and intense that they kind of move around. This one
doesn't do that. It's such a good liner. Honestly, if you are not using a liner, this is like a
secret weapon. If you're older and your eyes are starting to droop, finding the perfect liner to
just give your eyes that subtle lift, I'm telling you, it makes all the difference in the world,
and if you can find it for $0.99, I will never be without this. I obviously will never be
decluttering it. Another overachiever is the LA Girl Intense Wear Auto Liner. This one is in the
shade Non-Stop Nude, which is a near-perfect dupe for Pillow Talk from Charlotte Tilbury,
if you are familiar with that shade. Also, the formula is very similar to Charlotte Tilbury's.
It's not quite as rich and quite as waxy. I mean, Charlotte Tilbury's lip liners are,
some people don't like them because they're so thick and waxy. They almost tug at the lips a
little bit. I kind of like that because if you have vertical lines in your lips, you need that
thick waxy formula so you don't get the feathering into your vertical lines. This isn't quite that
intense, but it is nice and waxy. It doesn't feather. It's very long-wearing, and it is the
perfect shade of nude I'm wearing on my lips today. It looks great alone with just a gloss or a lip
oil on top. You can put a lipstick on top of it. Any lighter mid-tone nude looks amazing on this.
It's retractable, which I love. Great color. It is super affordable. I've been a longtime fan of
this one. I think this is my fifth or sixth one that I bought, and I will continue to buy.
For my brows, I have the Socko Brow Soap. What I love about this one, besides the fact that it's
so affordable, you can get this on Amazon for three or four bucks, once you get the hang of
using a brow soap, it's one of the best ways to just quickly get my brows to set in place.
It dries super fast, and then they're locked in all day long. I have very stubborn brows.
They do not like to stay upright, which I wish they would because that's how I like my brows
to look, and they just don't naturally want to do that. I need something that's going to get
them in line, and this does that very well. The trick with a brow soap is getting your brush
the right wetness. You need to wet your brush not too much or it's going to become too watery,
but once you get it down, it works perfectly. As long as the brush is not too wet or too dry,
you're not going to get that waxy kind of film that you can get in your brows. If you can get
over the little learning curve and learn how to use it, it's a great affordable way to set your
brows in place if you have stubborn brows like I do. My last overachiever, this one's a little bit
on the bubble. Some of you might not think that this is affordable. I think it's a pretty good
price, and it is relatively new to me, but I'm pretty confident in this product. If you are a
setting spray person, the Tear Tear Setting Spray is the best setting sprayer bottle ever. It's a
great finish. It gives you a good long wear. It sets things down well, but it's not too
glowy. If you don't like the ones that are too kind of oily-ish, like give you too much shine
or too much glow, this one's a good like happy medium. It smells great. The mister is just,
I know I do this every time, but it's perfect. Three sprays, that's all you need. So that's it
for the overachievers, but I do have some that are worth the splurge. Let's start with a brow pencil.
The Benefit Precisely My Brow. The longer I've been using this, it's been a few years now,
the more I've come to appreciate how special this brow pencil is. The formula of this brow pencil
is the perfect stiffness. It's not so stiff that it's going to break. I've never had issues with
the tip breaking off, but it gives you such great precision. Not all slim brow pencils will do that
because sometimes they can be a little bit too waxy or a little bit too stiff. If you want some
precision and you want some precise definition, this gives you such great precision. I absolutely
love it. You can get really almost brush-like strokes, almost like you would with a brow pen.
I don't know if you guys can see that because the shade's pretty light, but it's perfect. It
works so great in the brows. It's quick to apply. The spoolie is amazing. I love a good spoolie that
grabs your brows kind of aggressively. Not all of them do that. Some of them are a little bit too
soft and weak. This one is aggressive, and I like that it really like grabs my brows and puts them
where I want them to be. It's become a staple for me. As much as I love an affordable brow pencil,
when I can find it, I haven't quite found a drugstore option that's quite as good as this
one right here. Another one that's worth the splurge is the Pat McGrath Blush in the shade
Flirtatious. I am so obsessed with this. You guys, it's a little bit newer to me,
but I am telling you, this is one of the prettiest blush shades ever. I was lucky enough to find this
$39, if you buy it at Sephora, blush at my Ross for I think $14.99. I would totally go back and
spend the $39 on this though if I lost it. It's the perfect shade if you have, I would even say
light-medium. This looks very light in the palm, but it shows up on your cheeks more than you
would think. It just gives you this perfect, soft, nude wash of pink that is just stunning.
It looks good with anything. It's like one of those blushes that is just going to enhance
your features in the most soft and beautiful way. I love it so much. Another one that's totally worth
the splurge is the Double Wear Concealer from Estee Lauder. I discovered this one a little
over a year ago now and it has become such an important staple in my concealer collection.
I absolutely love this concealer. It is a drier formula and it also sets down relatively quickly,
so there is a bit of a learning curve with this one. You have to blend it out as you go. This is
one of the very few concealers that will actually fully cover hyperpigmentation marks. Not all
concealers will cover them completely up. It lasts all day long. It is such a workhorse of
a concealer. It's not my favorite concealer for the under eyes because it's a little bit dry,
but I can use it there. Today, I used it everywhere. For all my pigmentation marks on
the perimeter, I used it in this pocket under my eye. I used it on my eyelids. It's called the
Stay-in-Place Concealer and I totally agree with that. It does not budge. This is going to keep
those difficult spots that if you have them, you will know. They are so hard to cover and keep
covered. It keeps them covered all day long. I can't recommend it enough. One more thing worth
the splurge is a highlighter from MAC. This is MAC's Double Gleam. This thing's been around
forever and I so appreciate that. I feel like so many of the products I've loved for many,
many years are just kind of getting knocked off the board. I love that Double Gleam is still
around. You can still buy this one. It's such a perfect highlighter. This is one of those shades
I think would work for anyone. It's light enough for my light and fair skin friends out there that
it will work on you, but if you're very dark and you don't mind a very intense highlighter,
it's also sheer enough if you use a light layer that you get this beautiful, slightly warm kind
of champagne shimmer that's so stunning. It doesn't have too much glitter in it, but if you
want to layer it up, you can get some serious beaming highlight out of this thing. Anytime I
have a friend ask me for a recommendation, this is the first one I recommend because I am quite
certain it's going to work on just about anyone. Okay, we're getting down to the tail end. The
last one is my hardest decision. Of course, if you know me, you knew this was going to be the
eyeshadow palette. It's always so tricky for me to pick one eyeshadow palette because I have so
many that I love, but this one has truly become a staple for me. It's the Pretty Smart Eyeshadow
Palette in 103. This palette, it looks very simple. It looks very basic. It's drugstore.
You can get this for under $10 at Walmart. It is magical. The formulas are great in here, but
what I love so much about this one is the setup of the quad, the four colors that are included.
I love that you get a lighter matte. This is basically the color of my eyelid, but I love
starting out with this shade. This shade right here, which is basically, it looks peachy. It's
like a pinky brown. It's beautiful in the crease. I love that touch of warmth and then grounding
that warmth with just a tiny bit of this cooler tone brown, which is very nice and dark. You can
build this up if you want a lot of drama. It creates this beautiful balance. That warmth with
the cool just balances your eye look out so perfectly. The shimmer here, I'm so picky about
lid shimmers, you guys. This one is perfect. You can apply this with a finger or with a wet brush
and you will get maximum impact. It will be bright and icy and reflective, but if you want just a
subtle wash of shimmer like what I have on today, apply a little bit of this with a brush and it
just gives you this beautiful brightness. It just enhances your features. I reach for this all the
time, especially on those days when I don't want to worry about or think about my makeup or if it
matches what I'm wearing. I just want something that's going to just enhance my eyes in a very
subtle, soft way. For those of you that might be only into cool tones or only into warm tones,
trust me, try the warmer balanced with the cooler. I just think it gives you such a pretty flattering
look. It's a great everyday palette that's easy to use and never, ever looks bad. Last up is my
instant rebuy category. This is what I mentioned at the beginning, is the one product I think every
single person should own. I truly mean that. If I was to lose mine, and I have several of them,
I would have to go to the store immediately to pick one of these up because I cannot be without
it. I'm talking about the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I've been raving about this thing like a
lunatic for the last few years. It took me a while to figure out that this is truly meant to be used
as a sleeping mask, like at nighttime on your lips while you sleep. Maybe the reason it took me so
long to figure that out because I didn't really need a lip sleeping mask when I was in my 30s,
and my lips were just fine with a little bit of basic Aquaphor or ChapStick on them. As I've
gotten older, if I don't put this on my lips at night, things can get really rough very quickly.
I have very dry lips, especially in the wintertime, but this thing will stay on my lips all night
long. Just to highlight how much of a believer I am, not just in this for me, but for anyone,
I've even gotten my husband, who occasionally, if his lips get insanely dry or he gets like a
crack on his lips, he is now asking me for this product because he knows that it works. Every
person should own this lip mask. I've tried some other lip masks out. I've never quite been
satisfied with any of them. This is the best one that I have tried. If you struggle with those
very intensely dry lips, grab one of these. I think it will change your life. It has made
such a big difference in mine. I truly cannot live without this. And that is it, you guys.
Those are all of my Ride or Die products, the things that will never make it into my Declutter
bin. These things are not going anywhere. They are all absolute staples for me. I'd love to know
your thoughts on this one. Were you surprised by any of my selections? Let me know if you agree,
if you disagree. Let me know if you have a longstanding Ride or Die kind of favorite makeup
product that you'd like to share. I'd love to hear that down below. Thank you guys so much for
watching. I hope that you guys are doing well. If you are curious about what is in my Declutter
