And it's basically just an open little Piece in here. Let's see. I don't know how big this is it's about 21 inches tall and it's about Eight inches wide So 21 by eight I got some other options as well So we could do something like this To do this kind of design that we're going to be doing you need something that's open Okay, so we have this this Or this so this is a little bird cage and you would want to You know have it open or you could alternately take the top of it off You could also kind of put it on these are a little bit more difficult just because you kind of have to have the greenery going through there But there are options All righty Let's see. Let's make sure everything Is set up and working I'm just popping over to youtube to make sure it's on correctly. Yes, it is All right awesome All right. So how are y'all doing tonight? I think tomorrow night we might do a um bridal bouquet So i'll show you kind of some of what I got to do the bouquet I got these and I got one of these So this is The little thing that you hold for a bridal bouquet and I want to find You really when you're working with these you really want to find something That you can kind of set it on because otherwise it's a pain to hold it and kind of design on at the same time All right So I got all these from Carolina ponder because right now it's kind of hard to find stuff but when you're doing bouquet type work And i'm just telling you all this so you'll be prepared for tomorrow the flowers have these um Little stem covers. These are meant for bouquets. You could actually take these Put them together Wrap the bottom and have a bouquet to carry down the aisle But we're not going to do that because that's entirely too easy But you can buy these and then wrap this and have it folded like this And i'll tell you why These are good things to offer. So when someone gets married You know, they have to toss a bouquet right tradition however They're going to want to keep the one That they went down the aisle with so you can make a throw away bouquet And that's generally what we would call these So it's still really pretty it may be even very similar to what they have that they're walking down the aisle with But who wants to give up their bouquet? Nobody. All right So what we're going to do is we're going to figure out we're going to put a piece of styrofoam in here And I want to figure out where to cut it. So I kind of just put it Oops, sorry y'all Sometimes this thing likes me and sometimes it doesn't all right. We're going to put it like right in here And I usually just mark it like Right inside to kind of make sure i'm gonna have enough room And all you have to do is score it so I just usually use my scissors Score it like that You want to have A pretty good score on it. Then you can set it on your side of your table Put that edge where you scored it over And pop it off Then we can check yes, okay put that over there. All right, so we're going to glue this piece down And I will show you when I have a big piece like this I have these silicone Little spatulas and i'll use that To put the glue on because if you dump this thing if you put this thing in your glue pot Then it gets all that yucky crap in it So I just grab some of the glue and i'll paint it on Just like this Then I can make sure I don't have too much and I can spread it out So these are the silicone ones. They will handle heat just fine Okay All right All right. So while that is kind of You know Doing its thing We'll make our bow Let's see if I can open this up so I can see what y'all are doing Yeah, how are you feeling susan? Hey mama All right This is what I this is what we went to get today mama I have this y'all have this one design. I want to use And i've been sending pictures to Uh The person who does my laser machine we've been working out I I want to be able to make like a specific design with these Sometimes when we can figure it out, but this one's really pretty, isn't it? It's just it looks to me it looks it's rustic, right? but it is Very, um to me it looks very Bridal wedding looks like wedding. Maybe it's the white. I don't know. All right, so What we're going to do is we're going to About like that So we're going to do a 20 inch tail first thing So just cut a 20 then And i'm just using so this has These kind of tan colors in it I just want to use a neutral for my ribbon Because we're going to use Look at this look at these flowers They're nice and they're big we can put them out of in the corner like this And kind of have them and I come in like this They're pretty All right I also have other options. Let me show you You could also do like a flower like this here So like if it was a fall wedding or you just wanted to do a fall display This would be super pretty But of course it would depend on It would depend on their colors and things like that All right, so we need 10 inches Nice just pull the 10 inch out We're gonna go Let's see six inch loop. I think we'll do a six inch loop. Let me just look Actually, I think we could go a little bigger let's do a seven inch loop Okay, so from 14 to 0 is 7 inches I'm, just pinching it putting it back here 14 to 0 and all I do is gather it while it's on my table And then just go Right behind There we go So see Put the 14. I'll just gather it with my fingers and go across Like that Just gather it. It's kind of easy to gather it if you're pushing it on the surface of the table I think we need to do And trim this off All right now We're gonna take our zip tie So if you're doing something by hand The best thing to do is take your zip tie and kind of go in between your finger and your thumb Work it around the back like this Then you can get it started with the bow maker We don't want to completely tighten it down because we're gonna have to Put something else in it I want to make sure all of my Loops are about the same. Okay Now we're actually going to use one of our little greenery sticks A little bit of our floral wire. Okay, so I just have a little piece of floral wire And i'm going to take this floral wire and i'm going to run it under the zip tie Before I completely close that off. Okay tighten that up Now we can kind of pull these up Because this is going to be kind of sitting in the middle and i'm going to kind of spread This out I don't need all of these loops to be really tall And spreading out so we did not need to twist them Okay, so let's just trim that off This is just going to form the base for us kind of start We're going to take this second piece that we made Pinch that in the middle We're going to place this under This and I want it to go So we want one Tail coming out of each side Just twisting that Now i'm just going to take my little stick. We don't need a ton We need about Think about this one. Yeah. Okay, so We need about about two inches. I'll take this and wire Twist them together twist it around this stick So I can keep all these together Because we'll just use this to anchor it in here we go Okay Now i'm just going to get a little glue on this piece so I i'll use my Again, because I don't want to accidentally get glue on my Bug because I would suck. Okay Right down in the center Push it down as far as you can All right And then we're going to spread out our tails first Okay this So you kind of want it almost like draping We have one piece That's going to kind of naturally go Um kind of in the center Then we want One on each coming out see how it's coming out like that. Can you see that? Okay We'll put something up here as well, but So the first thing we have to do is we have to green around But I may go ahead and add in a couple of flowers and then i'll Now i'm going to green first. We're going to green first just easier to green first Okay. So the first greenery I have It's a pioneer It is pwf 2631 ttgr. So pwf 2631 ttgr All right, so we're gonna cut some of these off All right Don't worry. I'm gonna zoom in a little bit I'll go ahead and cut all these off that one this here is pf 1673 this is from Craig bachman So when i'm looking for the greenery, especially for a piece like this i'm looking for things that I can kind of bend over And I need to figure out how much I want to That's pretty good. All right. There we go And we have a I have a methodical way. We're going to put these in. All right And then we have this one Which I also had over there Okay, this one is from um carolina pottery It's just six two Eight seven oh six two eight seven. Oh I really like this one a lot because it has a lot of different types of greenery in it See how it has all this different All this different stuff in it And it's all wired so this I'm going to kind of put on the inside Kind of starting around in the middle You see how it has a lot of Height and volume in it All right. So let's zoom in a little bit Then we'll get started on So when you're doing something like this The best thing to do is to work in triangles Okay Then you can make sure you're going to have balance so we'll just start by Getting a little glue in we'll start with this one. We're going to kind of go Put it in And I really want it To drape over in it to do that There we go. So i'm gonna put one there Okay one here See how i'm just kind of folding it over I'm gonna go ahead and put the ones on the sides And i'll show you how we get the little triangle Okay, so i'm just going to each side Putting it in Don't worry too much about the bow. We'll kind of be working the bow in as we go I can see I think i'm gonna need another one of these I have to go out and grab this side Okay This one. Yep, definitely need another one there All right. Let me grab another one of these So one thing we're doing When we're doing this is we're adding in different shades of green Which is really going to help give it a lot of depth and interest I'm getting stuck on myself here and of course if you had one of these and it was Smaller you would just decrease the size of your Your greenery, all right, then i'm gonna need four more pieces Okay So here's how we create our triangle so we have one two This one Is going to stand up. Okay So there's our triangle There's another triangle This is what's going to keep that one middle piece up Now I want to put in my big flowers Now, of course if you had If you had, um a smaller container you would want to do smaller flowers, but you can either put them Kind of in the corner You see how that's got that natural little curve Okay You can Spread it out like that. You see that and put the other corner Here kind of the opposite direction That Now we're going to work around those Okay Next I want to put some of this in this one Well, actually let's put some of this in first kind of break this up a little bit Pieces Have it kind of draping over I'm gonna put this one kind of under like that So underneath that one Ribbon coming out Isn't that pretty So you really want to kind of that Oh, this is gonna go kind of in between These see we're still creating our Triangle your triangles Can be in multiple Directions, right? So this triangle this is a triangle. This is a triangle so on and so forth It doesn't all have to be In the same spot, let's break this one apart Oh, this is so pretty. I love the container too, right? and we're gonna We're gonna make it look even prettier that Oh pretty All right. I also want to get some of this inside the container Kind of spread this apart and just kind of work it a little Okay This is so pretty I really like this greenery a lot That's so pretty. So then you want to work your loops in See how they just kind of Oh, let me see. Let me get down here a little See how they just kind of pop up. So it's almost going to be like the bow is kind of Mixed in Oh, okay. I was gonna say what do I do with the other one? This is also pretty big so you can kind of move it around the container. What do I do with this other? That's right. Okay So now we're going to take one of our flowers up Higher you see that we're going to take these Kind of push those up And we're going to use this to kind of fill in some at the bottom Oh, I bet my best friend growing up was mormon and I was always jealous. I could never go see that I went to church with her, but I could never go there. Okay, we're still going to stay in that same little area All right So this will fill in and cover Our little mechanics here Got those lovely glue strings going on Yeah, so i'm just pushing these up Cut them off. You want them to be pretty small we may have to the flower has these leaves and they're just a little too much, so we're gonna Take those out. There we go That's much better much better So don't be afraid to take this off because it's just not working It's not working. Okay Let's see. Did I get all the way back? Gotta do these so one thing One reason we took out those leaves It's because it's just it's too much Takes out the airiness The second thing is it's too dark so you see how that just really kind of makes that just too dark So I just want to watch and make sure that you have things in it that are lightening it up and not Making it too dark There we go So see that covers the bottom mechanics and you want to have a few Kind of okay I am gonna move these flowers, but I need to get everything in place first. You're wondering why it's facing Why it's facing the inside it just makes it a little easier while you're working on it, okay All righty Hold on. I'm just glue stringing There we go Okay, make sure That I don't have anything Frowning in here. I'll make sure my tails are still whoops I'm gonna dovetail that Those are still coming out So on these flowers, you just want to kind of pull them over a little so they're kind of peeking out that like that now Let me see These leaves way too dark We don't like those So now I have choices I can either put um a flower like this in So this is just a white I don't even know what this is It's a tulip mix right, so We'll see how that will look Did you need something to kind of lighten it up? Yeah, like that. That's pretty I know I you know what helps me with florals Are the the little rules like okay do a triangle and then I know okay so don't put too much here and Start with that And see if that helps a little bit So we want just a little white Okay So this is a tulip, but it really doesn't even hardly look like a tulip. I don't think What this is going to do is this is going to kind of brighten it up a little I really love greenery, but we gotta have some flower in it piece This one does not want to go the way I want it to Sometimes you really have to play with them. I'm just kind of spreading out this one a little It doesn't want to cooperate very well It's supposed to be There hanging over like that That's what I want. You just have to kind of fiddle with them a little I think I'm gonna need One more right here White and then we'll look at it. So i'm not using the leaves. Hey suzy You like my tool Oh my gosh, suzy. I have a whole new appreciation for you after What I went through I filed for a patent That Is the most unfun thing I've ever done Holy cow Is that complicated? All right, so I just kind of moved the tail All right, so we need one more of these Over here before I put it in i'm going to kind of bend that over Right here it is there Isn't that pretty? That's pretty you could also put You could also put some up here kind of on the inside Yeah It will be worth it Because it would be way too easy for someone to just you know Decide they're gonna make the same thing okay, because Although it looks pretty simple. It took us a long time to figure it out But that was what I was trying to do was make it really simple I need one more right in there Then we'll be done with the inside of this Yeah Okay, then we're gonna do something with the top like that awesome All right. What we think let me Let me show y'all what it looks like. So there it is from the top Here it is from the sides Isn't that pretty? Okay. So what we'll do for the top Get some of this out Get out our bone maker, oh so You could also I got this out so I could show you if you didn't have something like the tulips You could use a greenery that had white. You just want to have some white to lighten it up. And of course it is a wedding So you want to have some white in it? All right You still back there belly? So then on this let's move this over I tell you what's going to be fun is that bouquet I'm excited I think we'll put Maybe one each of the tulips Pull that out That pink flower is really just too big Which is perfect for the inside but Not so much the outside Okay So i'm going to start this off Yeah, you're gonna You're gonna get better. You just have to don't be afraid to do it. I think that kind of Can be one problem is if you're afraid to do it. It just Makes it harder Or sometimes it's just less is more So try putting in less And see if that helps you a little bit You know what? Let's not put these on the bottom One thing that I like to do is find bushes that are really great So then you don't have to really spend a lot of time Figuring out what greenery goes together because look at this. So this is really pretty it has all these different kinds in it It has all these lovely little things and then you don't have to do anything except Plop it in your design Maybe we can do some stuff with I'll work on Doing some stuff where we just take the whole Um Piece and put it in And make it work. Maybe that'll make you Feel a little bit more comfortable We can do that Okay So we got some of our greenery here See and that's gonna pull in what's down at the bottom Okay Then we can put our flowers I'm gonna bend those up a little All right, then we can take Yeah, it's pretty right I think we need A shorter tail maybe eight inches because I don't want to cover all the work we did inside Okay, and then We're gonna do a smaller Bow like five inches Okay I think we'll just do three loops Y'all know I love doing the three loops We don't really need this is a tie quite that big. Let's get a smaller one So I just got a smaller zip tie that Tighten that up Put it Right there Okay So it's gonna go Right up here That Oh how Pretty is that and then we have the little flowers that are kind of draping over So this has like a little neck to it So I will put the zip tie around that and then I will zip tie this piece around Oh, is that pretty a little piece? Well with the one in there. Oh, there it is. Okay You could also do um, so if this was going to go on a table where everybody could see you could do the exact same bow on the other side Here i'll just show you so that you can have Some of this up flower down draping That all right. Let's do the exact same thing again This is pretty So I would consider this a centerpiece You know a table centerpiece Okay, so eight inches Well, it might help if we had our little Greenery first. All right, so we'd want to do the same kind of thing in this side So I want some kind of standing up and some kind of draping down Okay Tie it out That under there I think that's long enough Thanks. I have to figure out where it is. There it is. It picked it right up That was funny kind of bend it over Okay, all right, then we'll just do a inch this inch one more Okay So one of the reasons that I like to pull my ribbons up when i'm pulling this out Is to make sure that I still have It in the center Okay Take that off right now We have our second piece I'm gonna come on the back side See what I do with it. Wait, I think I got one in my pocket. I do Okay, so i'm gonna take this piece I'm gonna go around this way Then i'm gonna grab this piece I'm, just zip tying it right around the bow And then i'll just kind of hide it kind of right behind the bow we just need to Out dangling flowers like that not to cover but just to dangle Now I use these tails to kind of cover our little mechanics there This up uh How stinking cute is that? Oh my gosh, I love that There we go Ta-da There we go That's way this one I think Might be just a tad too long Trim it off a little there we go That's what we want to do Around with this a little All right. So I just thought it would be fun to To do some drapey stuff Because I think that's fun awesome And we'll work on coming i'll work on coming up with some designs where It makes some of the florals a little easier like Um where you can get a pick and put the whole pick in And I think if you start that way then You'll start to feel a little bit more comfortable and you'll start getting a sense of How they work and then you can start putting more in Without having to use the whole pick Okay Because that's kind of how I got comfortable with it Awesome. The good thing is that the stuff will oh, so let me tell y'all one of the reasons that I use the spatulas is because If you do accidentally drop it into your glue You can actually peel the glue off the next day So you're not stuck with it on there. So if y'all need something to use in your um glue pots Use these spatulas. They're silicone spatulas And then it'll just peel right off Okay There we go. All right. I got it out All right.
