Hello everyone this is Lia Actually were originally scheduled to have a special guest on today's podcast but the guest couldn't make it But you might have noticed isn't my voice sounding a bit strange right now I have a cold so my voice isn't feeling great and speaking is a bit difficult right now I was wondering if I'd be able to do the podcast today but the guest who was supposed to come today My health isn't good right now so since both of us are feeling unwell the podcast has been canceled But today is Saturday by the Korean calendar so tomorrow is Sunday and I upload videos every Sunday It's tomorrow isn't it It's literally tomorrow right now and I haven't recorded anything yet nor do I have a podcast script I don’t have anything prepared at all So oh no I’m really done for What am I going to do now I was just panicking like this So today unavoidably this is my first podcast without a script and originally this was part of the membership video Speaking so much off the cuff like this today is unavoidable so I'm recording this spontaneously right now So today I'm going to show you a little slice of my day—kind of like a vlog You'll hear more natural Korean as I speak it in everyday life at a natural conversational pace I've been thinking about something lately —Samsung just launched a new smartphone I'm really torn about whether to buy it or not Originally the later you buy a phone the more expensive it gets pre-orders meaning pre-purchase like the dictionaries we use in English or Korean The word "dictionary" has meaning but when you say "pre-reservation " the term "pre -" already implies beforehand so "pre- reservation" simply means reserving in advance That means making a reservation in advance I'm getting this newly released Samsung phone I seriously debated whether to pre- order or not but since it'll only get more expensive the longer I wait I decided to just go ahead and do it I'm planning to make a pre-appointment today This is the same supermarket I visited last time It's a really large supermarket actually There's a cellphone store here so I'm going there today and that's why I'm wearing these clothes like this It's winter in Korea so why am I wearing such light clothing Because I pre-ordered my smartphone I'm heading straight to the gym I'll work out there for a bit and then I'm coming home But I'm not feeling well—I 've caught a cold—so why am I going to the gym I really don't want to go I swear I really don't feel like going either I guess I mean at least three times a week I want to try working out at the gym But I only made it to the gym once this week —just once on Tuesday —and today is Saturday I have to go today and I must go tomorrow too Otherwise it won't count as three times So I have no choice but to go And to make matters worse This gym stays open until 11 p m on weekdays so it's really late hours But on weekends it closes at 8 p m —that's really early so we need to get there as quickly as possible At least I’ve been able to exercise for a long time so I’m rushing to pre-order my phone and head to the gym So today it's a bit of a mix— Podcast Plus Vlog combining into this what even is this A bit of a new format It’s going to make a great video so right now before heading to the gym let me show you what’s in my bag—ta-da I always bring my tablet with me because aerobic exercise gets too boring so I absolutely have to take it along Hand sanitizer My earphones Earphones This is a hair clip and a regular pin Hairpin And my watc You need to check your heart rate when exercising so this watch is absolutely essential—though I have no idea why I feel that way I often forget to charge this watch so I really should go for a workout Just looked at the clock and realized it had no battery It always makes me so frustrated I end up getting annoyed at myself You're saying it took forever to charge Did you even plug it in before going to sleep I get pretty frustrated sometimes but luckily today it's fully charged at 100% This is my microphone—can't say for sure if I'll be speaking outside but just in case here's the mic And here's the water bottle Ta-da I just filled it with water Next is my power bank My phone battery is draining way too quickly these days I think I really need to get a new phone The time has truly come to change it— it wears out too quickly so I have no choice but to carry this heavy spare battery around all the time So I'll bring along the power bank My bag's already heavy And what do you need when heading out for exercise folks Protein Protiin Ta-da I've just packed my gym bag like this And the weather has been getting really nice lately It's getting better that is It's still a bit cold so I wear a jacket Oh I gotta hurry and get to the gym before it closes I've put on my outer layer like this Now I'm heading outside I came to the supermarket near my house by bus The weather has been so nice lately and the sky is this clear blue Now we're going to enter the supermarket There's a pre-reservation listed here right The vocabulary word we just learned I'm just browsing my phone waiting patiently I'm browsing through some accessories and isn't this earphone case just too cute Especially since it was a Korean-style design it was even more beautiful Yes I've finished all the pre-registration and came over here as a thank-you gift I received this Samsung bag and umbrella You remember that earphone case I showed you earlier It's the same shape as this cookie These are truly famous snacks in Korea Aren't they so cute Whenever I go to the supermarket I always end up eating dumplings from the tasting corner I came here to buy a new snack that just came out—I got the cheese-flavored one I like I eat a lot of mushrooms as a snack so I bought one too Korean snacks I wanted to buy these last time but couldn't so I was disappointed so I ended up buying the snacks too There's a cozy resting area right above the supermarket with plenty of books and places to sit and relax Isn't it awesome that there's a space like this inside the store I just tried the cookie I bought earlier here I arrived at the gym I'd planned to visit earlier after going to the supermarket it's on the fourth floor It says "South Korea Mecca" here Now I'll show you my gym for the first time I set down my bag and put my shoes back on I start by stretching and warming up my body then do core exercises followed by strength training Finally I do aerobic exercise but aerobic exercise is just too boring When I first came to the gym I got bored doing the treadmill I ride an exercise machine called the "Stairmaster" in Korean but after a while it gets kind of boring I've recently started elliptical training a type of cardiovascular exercise and even though it's my first time it's incredibly fun So it looks like I've finally found an enjoyable form of cardio exercise Usually when I do cardio I listen to chess lessons or watch dramas like this The workout is over now Hurry up and drink some water then have a protein shake Shooting outdoors was really tough Let's go get dinner Tonight's dinner is definitely a hot dog My sister went ahead and picked up the hot dog for us I'll drizzle the sauce on it at the store This is quite bumpy isn't it This bumpy hot dog is a sweet potato hot dog Those lumpy things are all sweet potatoes This hot dog place is seriously delicious so make sure to come visit when you're in Korea The prices are also affordable Then we came to the supermarket Did you know that real abalone is actually cheap in Korea Oysters are considered a very upscale delicacy worldwide but in Korea their image is somewhat different It's very common and especially affordable to eat during winter Anyway I came here to buy a cup noodle to go with my hot dog but there aren't many cup noodles at the store—this is all they have This doesn't make sense— this is Korea how can there be only this kind of cup noodles This is ridiculous So I went to the convenience store and bought a spicy cup ramen that goes best with a hot dog I bought Buldak Ramen Thank you I ate dinner with the hot dog I bought earlier after arriving home then took my medicine Right now I'm doing this evening podcast Wow today was really a hectic day It was an incredibly chaotic day I was in too much pain and coughed a lot and my condition wasn't great but since I have to post a video right away tomorrow I'll manage I tried filming my day spontaneously for the first time and luckily I had properly scheduled my phone in advance I pre-ordered the Galaxy S26 phone and I 'll actually pick it up around next week We're now planning to create a podcast The topic will likely be about mobile phones I'm really looking forward to it I always feel so excited whenever I buy a new phone more so than when buying anything else—actually I love buying electronics the most Whether it's a smartphone or tablet earphones or smartwatches and other wearable devices like smartwatches the same applies I really love electronic devices more than any other object so when my channel grows a bit bigger later on I'd like to get a better camera than this smartphone and I also feel like upgrading to a higher-quality microphone Last time someone left a really thoughtful comment saying the microphone is great that it 's because of the good microphone quality making it easy to understand what you're saying Seeing that made me feel good so I really want an even better microphone later on I wish you could experience learning Korean with better audio quality and I'm not sure how today's video turned out Shot completely out of the blue blending a bit of podcast with vlog vibes Hmm what's this I tried filming it using this hybrid approach Sometimes
