Chinas Secret Fortress Homes- People Still Live Here

Hundreds of families living in the same building… can you imagine that?!

This is Longyan in Fujian Province. While flying my drone, I saw something strange: many huge circular and square buildings. At first, they looked like some kind of military base. Haha. But when I got closer, I realized this was actually a hidden ancient village, and those massive “fortresses” are their homes!

It’s incredible. Hundreds of people living in the same building! Why did they build houses like this? If it were me, I probably wouldn’t live here… there’s just no privacy, haha.

Many people still live in this village today. There’s a school, a clinic, and small shops, although most of the residents are elderly. The history here goes back more than 600 years. Life here must be very peaceful and relaxing.
