Women who haven't read this story yet are really missing out
This is a classic tale of a queen She was exceedingly beautiful
immensely noble of the highest
status and deeply revered by many
Then the queen asked the Buddha a classic
question that every woman wonders about
Some men are less curious but women always wonder about this:
Today the Buddha allowed his disciples to ask
Regarding the similarities and differences concerning beauty ugliness wealth poverty and social status among all women in the world
See how it is Guys rarely ask this question but girls immediately
wonder when they see someone who seems more attractive than they are
Why does it look better than me
It seems to
dress more elegantly than I do—why does it appear more refined than me Wondering
Being empress means asking only the female teachers right Don't
you see True equality would require asking both men and women alike
Go ahead and ask—The Buddha replied is it the queen's intention to
inquire about causes effects conditions and retributions from which such extraordinary differences arise
Difference means the emergence of distinctions while sameness means the
emergence of similarities Are such differences and similarities inherent in karma
Then he said something and now let me summarize:
in short there are four categories of women
The first type is an unattractive appearance combined with miserable
poverty while the second type is unattractive yet wealthy and prosperous
The third type is beautiful but unhappy and poor
the fourth type is beautiful wealthy and honored
How can these women train now to get
into the fourth spot the number one position right
Point four is beautifully elegant wealthy and prosperous—truly the
height of bliss As for number three it's quite a miserable existence
Beautiful yet often unhappy frequently suffering
The
The Buddha answered each question in turn as follows:
A woman with an irritable temperament prone to uncharacteristic anger
Anger is frustration or yelling at others anger is the tendency to get upset
Frustration builds easily leading to anger over trivial matters no matter how small and
such reactions will inevitably create
grudges and resentment toward others That is the case
Without faith in wholesome actions without joy in creating merit without
willingness to give or let go—this is the second meaning This is the third meaning
Envy toward the wealthy envy of others' good deeds
Jealousy of those who have abundant advantages
Envy toward those who are favored respected and beloved in
short jealousy and resentment toward those who surpass oneself
More than money more than fame or more than the reverence of others
These women after their physical bodies decay and their shared life
ends will suffer numerous painful consequences in the four evil realms
In those
realms where evil resides Atula this birth hell and
hungry ghost realms are indeed
realms of starving spirits
If influenced by some blessing from the past that
is if having planted a certain cause in the past
About one or more beings from
the past who were virtuous
and reborn again as humans
That means by default you're no longer considered human
—doing such evil things means you've lost your humanity
But if we're fortunate enough to be
born as humans it's because
of some blessing we sowed in the past—now we still get to enjoy its benefits
Therefore
Being reborn as a human being one
falls into the condition of the first
category of women—ugly impoverished
living a lowly and wretched life
There ugly poor and wretchedly downtrodden—
here we distill it all we separate ourselves
Those who have already studied Basic Drawing 1
Observe analyze and draw conclusions
must now separate the layers
Here we separate the
layers: the first
layer is heat anger and resistance
Grim ugly
Hot-tempered angry incompatible grim ugly
One is the root the other is the
fruit—so those who often get angry
hold grudges take offense easily
or suddenly lose their temper—
Don't worry about the future—no matter
how much she's dyed she'll still look ugly and irritable
no matter what kind of beauty salon you go
to she'll still end up looking unpleasant and angry
One who does not create
merit does not perform
good deeds harbors hatred toward others bears
grudges against people is the cause of poverty
and suffering one who does
not know how to do good
For life not knowing
how to give generously
not knowing how to do good for others
leads people to poverty and breeds
resentment toward those who are better off
Creating enmity with others plants the
seed of unhappiness and that unhappiness
will inevitably bear fruit—here is the
first consequence of such a destructive act
This second type of woman is
aggressive and
fierce in temperament
Yet they possess faith and a generous heart knowing how
to give and harbor no envy
toward those who are superior
There are many other righteous and good deeds
Meaning she is a woman
Of faith who knows how to do good works
Those virtuous deeds are another matter
entirely and they harbor no jealousy toward those who surpass
them yet their temper is quick
Those who work improperly are often very hot-tempered and tend
to shout at others Pay attention
—some bosses belong to this type
Female business owner
Extremely tough
Loud and aggressive toward employees constantly
But she only yells at those who fail to perform
They only yell at lazy employees
As for those who actually get things done they are always willing
to share generously and they frequently take their
employees to temples to perform good deeds
Dragging the entire company along to perform
good deeds on festival days on the fifteenth
of each month—dragging the whole company along
even though they were fierce and intimidating
With such people and such things those lazy and evil individuals
But as for those who are better than them
they feel no envy at all
That means their hearts
are also relatively pure
When the body eventually perishes and the
life force disperses one will be reborn
into favorable realms if reborn as a human
one's physical form will be unattractive
Yet refined and noble thus here we see
beauty and ugliness stem from one's
disposition—yes if the disposition is filled with resentment and ill will—
It was born ugly nobility
wealth and status come from
Whether your intentions are aligned with good deeds
Whether your actions are in service of good deeds
Performing many virtuous deeds
Sharing generously with others
Then you will reap the precious fruit of blessings
A mind free from jealousy
A heart that knows generosity and forgiveness
To be born into a
revered status to possess a life more
noble than others that is it
Furious mocking this harsh ugly ringing
Generate merit do good harbor no hatred toward anyone
Free from envy free from jealousy
Rich and noble—
see that everyone
This is the second type
Type 3
Women without or with little ill will are always
gentle kind serene and radiant with inner joy
If someone accidentally says something harsh offensive or hurtful
they remain unperturbed and harbor no resentment or ill will
Yet they lack faith—without the heart to
cultivate merit unwilling to give generously
Jealousy toward those who surpass them who have greater
advantages and who receive more praise from others
They have committed other wicked and evil acts if a
woman of this sort is reborn as a human being after death
She was incredibly
beautiful yet lived a life of deep despair poverty
and misery Do you see
A mind without ill will is calm and serene gentle speech leads to a
beautiful future life
And even in this life they
appear beautiful yet deep within
their faith is hollow and their actions do not bring merit
Without doing good deeds they will be born into poverty
without helping others
others will not help them in return
then their hearts
will become hardened
They grow envious of those who are better than they are
Envy toward
those who receive
more praise than oneself
gives rise to unhappiness
and breeds future weakness
So in short that's the essence of it
Anger and joy
Then resonance beauty
Not doing good deeds or harboring hatred toward anyone more than oneself
Envy and jealousy toward those better than oneself
Hunger and misery
And finally fourth place
Is the most beautiful one
Women who have little or no ill will
Gentle and kind-hearted
Their expressions are always lively and joyful
They have faith they cultivate merit
They understand giving and sharing
They don't harbor envy toward
those who are better than they
are in fact they do many other good and kind things as well
At the moment of death one typically
takes rebirth in a favorable realm if reborn as a human
Beautiful realms
Here starting from the human level onward you see
Meaning those heavenly realms
Or rebirth as a celestial being
If one is reborn again as a human
Such exquisite beauty
boundless blessings
in wealth fame and status husband
and children servants and attendants
—everything is perfectly fulfilled
Respected and cherished by all
There now we're facing this situation again
Without anger the
mind is joyful and
calm one becomes
graceful and beautiful
one consistently performs good deeds
one helps others one aids everyone
When you give freely you will never
harbor hatred toward anyone nor
feel envy or jealousy and you will
consistently perform other good deeds
Born into a high
status respected by all
Then afterward
After explaining thoroughly you must
clearly analyze cause and effect only then
will you truly understand If your mind fails to analyze clearly
you won't grasp it
The law of cause and effect is not
arbitrary — it's the law of cause and effect that forces
you to separate in this way Don't you see In the
sutra the Buddha separates things layer by layer
It is very clear broken down into distinct layers
After the explanation
A clear analysis of cause and effect Of the four types of women in the world
The Buddha concluded thus:
Due to this irritable nature anger grows steadily
Leading to resentment bitterness and deep-seated grudges
Your face always looks sharp and bold
See what I mean
A sharp bold face
Already looks worse in this very life
A harsh face is not inherently bad rather
it is precisely these very causes and conditions that
shape karma and give rise
to consequences A face
may appear unattractive yet it carries meaning
Worn-out hat rough and bumpy
skin emitting a slightly
unpleasant odor unattractive
and unpleasant to look at
This second platform
lacks virtue
lacks moral discipline
meaning it lacks ethical conduct
unaware of generosity
unaware of sharing
That is the result of one's own actions leading
to retribution—poverty and hardship lacking
food and wearing torn clothes That is simply
because one lacks faith
in the power of good deeds
That's why I no longer hold onto good
deeds within my heart so I no longer share them I don't
perform good actions
and I refuse to give anything to anyone
That is the cause and the condition
that brought us into existence so
why do we become poor hungry and
suffering This is
point number three
Status fame and wealth—meaning
I resent those who are better than me or hold higher status
or greater renown than I do
Or wealthier than oneself
one still harbors envy and
resentment toward them this is precisely the karma
and connection the karmic cause and effect that
leads to retribution lowly and humble in one's fate
Slaves concubines and prostitutes
— the lowest
rung in society
Notice here folks
There are many very beautiful slaves
Her beauty is
truly striking
yet many of these women are prostitutes—so beautiful yet
deemed the lowest in society
It's because of jealousy
and resentment toward
those who are equal to or superior to oneself
So we should pay
attention to the trees
of the boundary that often perform
We commonly refer to it as the long-legged boundary tree
Dressing impeccably isn't it
So dashing so stylish—truly
impressive But behind it all
lies an immense deep-seated envy
Jealousy fraught with
immense danger so beware of
such a life—later it
may lead to paralysis in society
Luxury and wealth last only
a few years at most then
fade away—this is a timeless
truth taught by the Buddha
I'm not the one saying it you know
But none of you sitting here
with long legs should go on
saying this guy is骂ing me—it's
really annoying Sorry in advance
These are the three things
the Buddha taught about evil
tendencies and He likewise
summarized them in a similar manner
With intentions directed toward goodness
That embodies the law of cause and effect
Without anger with joy and peace
Then one's aura becomes radiant and beautiful
Whether through faith or performing virtuous deeds
Giving generously brings wealth and abundant
blessings and harboring no hatred toward
anyone being free from envy and jealousy and
performing many other virtuous deeds as well
That is exalted status and
great value that is it thus three things
point downward and
three things point
upward when combined they form this
The kind of women
the empress asked about and
you can reason the
same way for men right Women are
no different from
men in this regard
