NYC Upper East Side Art Tour Modern Masters and Contemporary Art

We begin at Edward Tyler Nahem Gallery, visiting a group exhibition that brings together works by major figures of post-war and contemporary art, including Frank Stella, Alexander Calder, Ed Ruscha, Sam Gilliam, Alex Katz, Kenneth V. From there, we walk to White Cube to visit the exhibition by Sylvia Snowden, whose expressive, psychologically charged paintings explore identity, memory, and the human condition through bold and dynamic brushwork.

Our gallery walk continues at Mnuchin Gallery, where we see works by Julian Schnabel — a leading figure of Neo-Expressionism, recognized for his monumental scale, material experimentation, and painterly intensity.

After the galleries, we stop for pastries at Lady M, adding a brief pause of everyday NYC life before continuing to our final destination.

We end at Helly Nahmad Gallery, where a group exhibition presents works by historic modern masters including Pablo Picasso, Roberto Matta, Jean Dubuffet, Fritz Glarner, and Marc Chagall, offering a rare chance to encounter iconic names of 20th-century art within a single space.
