Testpilot Klaus Plasa presented this unique 1900 horsepower strong Focke Wulf 190 A9 at the Hahnweide 2025 Oldtimer Meeting. This aircraft is based on a Flugwerk reproduction airframe and is powered by a Schwezow ASch-82 14 Cylinder double row radial engine.
The engine is comparable to the original BMW801 power plant in most parameters.
The video also shows the unique cooling system of the engine in great detail.
The pilot encountered mechanical issues after takeoff, so the demonstration was limited to a flyby and ground operations. This aircraft is stationed at Braunschweid, Germany.
