Lawmakers Press Generals on Chinese Technology and US Combat Readiness

On Capitol Hill Thursday, U.S. lawmakers interrogated military officials about vulnerabilities posed by the Chinese Communist Party, including the use of commercial tracking technology and port infrastructure.

Military leaders assured Congress that the United States is prepared to respond to near-peer adversaries, while NATO allies are boosting defense spending and replacing Chinese-made technology to safeguard critical operations.
