Sun Yingsha vs Joo Cheonhui | WS R32 | #WTTChongqing 2026

Rallies, both of them near the table, early timing, subtle exploitations. And look at that, case in point. A lot of that visualisation. And that will give Joo Chun-hee so much heart. A little flick off the net, acknowledged, but again, we'll see it a lot in this match, I'm sure. Being beaten in the semifinal by Dang Cho. Absolute legend for Korea. We've seen him, we've seen Joo Se-hyuk and so many other Korean legends over the years, go toe to toe with the Chinese. He's a fantastic person because he's quite softly spoken. Nothing soft about that. Funny sound off one of those, just might have caught the edge of the table a little bit. Absolutely febrile scenes here inside the Infinity Arena. She gets the first down, calm as you like, off to have a chat with Marlin. I feel like Joo's trying to match Xia Xia right now. Can't be about that. You can see Xia Xia is just an absolute mage that we can't actually see. Oh, stunning timing with the abbreviation there, such an acute angle from Xia Xia. I think so much of her game and her success comes down to how she flips the edge of the table and, oh, scrumptious. Best we've seen from Joo. So Joo's doing a decent job to keep up with that. The adjustment, once again, efficient. And it's going to take shots like that to beat her as well. The grunt of effort tells you what's going on. Eight, ten. Looking for a third in a row here as well. She went for it. And one way or another, she got there. And she takes her chance. Both service points won. We go to Joo's. Close up look at the preparation. Stretched wide. She comes up with an improbable angle. That game point right there. Yeah. Down the middle for Joo. She's trying it. Defense though. So it was just drifting towards half one. The execution. I know you are loving that. Yeah. A chance down the parallel, off the backhand. A two point lead. And it isn't great. We'll let the crowd do the announcing for us there, because that reaction was what they or the majority of them have come to see here today. And despite a real fight in games two and three from Joo Chun-hee, the quality of Sun Yingsha once again on show under the purple lights here.
