Hi friends, we came around to another month
of trying things and testing things
and finding out what I like the most
and then what I didn't like.
So monthly favorites is here.
I have a few fails in this too for you.
A lot of this was tried while I was in Florida.
So it kind of goes along the lines of,
okay, this is what I liked while I was on vacation
type thing.
But I want to tell you that we have a numbering system
and the number corresponds to the product I hold up,
go down into the description box
and you should be able to shop that way
with the colors and the links and all of that.
Also, everything that I have on,
including the makeup, the shirt, the jewelry,
everything will be listed and linked down below
for you as well.
So let's get right into it.
I have quite a few things that were fails.
Let's start with those.
First of all, if any of you've been on TikTok
or other channels,
there is this Dr. Mlaxin neck treatment
that has been around.
And there is also like a pre-treatment.
And then this is the little serum vials
that come with it like this right here.
And then there is a cream that goes on after it.
I did two sets of these
because who doesn't want their neck to be firmer and nicer?
And I saw the gal over on TikTok
and I was completely intrigued by it,
got sucked in and no, it didn't work whatsoever.
So I'm steering you completely away from this.
It's expensive to get the full treatment,
the full, all three products,
and then to have to do them every single month.
And these little vials right here
that are flying all over the place,
they are supposed to be one treatment
and there's only 10 in here.
But I was able to do two treatments with them.
So only 20 days out of the month
were you getting an actual treatment.
So it was a bit expensive besides the fact
that it just didn't tighten my neck like it said it would.
The woman that was touting it
or the women that are touting it,
I believe they've probably had
a little bit of procedures done.
So they're not disclosing that, but you never know.
So that was one that was just like,
no, I don't think I can do that.
Another one that I wasn't super crazy about
is the LA Girl H20 Lock Hydrating Setting Powder.
Now it has that encapsulated water feel to it
that they've tried before to perfect.
And it just didn't hit the mark for me.
Little bit too drying for my mature face.
Now, if you do have oily combo skin,
you might really love this
because immediately when that hits the skin
and it opens up that encapsulation
and you do feel that cooling effect,
for me, right after that is when the drying comes.
So this wasn't my favorite.
Something else that I keep talking about over and over again
and I am over the moon in love
with from Florizio is the Eyelash Growth Serum.
And yes, you can use this on your eyebrows as well.
It is super easy to use.
You just take this little paintbrush that's in here
and you paint it along the lash line, top and bottom.
I use this twice a day,
although it just says that you can do it once a day.
I do use it twice a day.
And if you're doing your eyebrows, just paint it in there.
Each time I do go back down into the tube,
get more product and then do the other eye.
This is a five milliliter tube
instead of like most of them are a three milliliter tube.
And it's so much less expensive
than all those other ones are.
Chock full of peptides and amino acids
and great ingredients that help your eyelashes
to not only grow and get thicker,
but also the resting phase where they're not falling out.
They're just look their best.
That is extended by using this.
And the fallout phase is shortened.
My eyelashes grow like crazy
and my mascara looks great on them
because this is helping so much.
So I think that you're going to find that you will love this.
Two weeks, you're gonna notice the difference.
Four weeks, you're gonna notice your length.
And after that, it just keeps getting better and better.
Another thing, I did a video on this
and you definitely need to go look at that video.
This is an eyebrow trimmer.
I always have had this like little peach fuzz stuff in here
that made my eye shadow look a little bit crinkly.
And my eyelids right there are not crinkly.
So getting that little peach fuzz off of there
and being able to sculpt your eyebrows all around
is a huge thing.
I love how fine that little tip is.
And it's just great for being able to do between the brows.
And it's really easy to be able to every day,
if you need to hit those eyebrows
and get those little extra hairs.
So this is rechargeable,
and I have found that it's been invaluable.
And I did a little tutorial or an FYI for you.
I'll make sure that I link that below
so that you can see that
because that eyebrow technique
has really changed my whole entire outlook
on how my eyes look as far as my eyebrows go.
So I think that if you see that,
you'll know what I'm talking about
and you might wanna get one of these.
Something else that I'm super happy with
is the L'Oreal Ever Pure Sulfate Free line.
And this one is the volume shampoo.
And I didn't know if I was gonna like this or not
because sometimes volume shampoos,
when you already have dry hair can strip it,
but it really doesn't do that
because it doesn't have any sulfates.
And I understand some of you appreciate sulfates
and that is perfectly fine.
However, I do have very dry ends
and I have very fine hair
that can get dried out very easily.
So having something that doesn't have sulfates
that doesn't strip my hair
is something that really does help me.
And this line has been great.
I also love their Clarity one
because we do have hard water here,
but again, that doesn't have any sulfates in it.
So I'm really loving this line.
And I think that if you need volume in your hair
that you might want to look at this.
It's a good one.
Also from Finery at Target are these body mists.
And this one is called Midnight Cafe.
And the reason I'm showing you this
is I bought this with myself in mind,
but when I got it home, it's almost like a unisex scent.
And what I love about it is that my husband wears it
and it just melts with his chemistry
so much better than mine.
To me, it's a really masculine scent,
especially when he wears it.
Little bit of a powdery fresh smell in there,
but it's got that little bit of sandalwood musk as well.
I really like it on him way better
than I liked it on myself.
They actually have a whole line of body products
or perfume products, and they're really, really good.
I have the pistachio one, I think it is.
And I love that one too.
One thing that was not impressing me this time
was the eyeshadow primer from Essence.
And this is the Jelly Grip Primer.
Now I will say that this does grip your eyeshadow.
However, beyond that, it just didn't do much.
It really didn't cover over any imperfections or darkness
that I have over my eyelids,
which is actually why I wear eyeshadow primer
because I do have such darkness around my eyes
that I need it to take away and even out the skin tone
on my eyelid before I start any eyeshadow.
And this one just missed the mark.
And it got a little bit, because it's got that grip in it,
it got a little bit creased on me.
So this one was a no-go for me.
However, I want to steer you all back
to my very favorite sunscreen
as we head into the spring and summer months.
Don't forget your sunscreen.
This is the Dermatology Universal Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46.
So you're getting your tint,
that little bit of tint in here
that evens out your skin tone just a little bit.
But you're also getting your moisturizer
and you're getting your SPF.
Now, this is my very favorite SPF to wear under makeup
because it just sinks in.
It doesn't pill up like so many do.
It's not too glowy.
It's not too matte.
It's just the right spot there.
And I've been using this for years
and I kind of got away from it.
And then Dermatology was kind enough to send me this again.
And I remembered why I like it.
So now not only do I have this,
but I have a backup to be able to never run out of it
because this really is the best sunscreen
that I have found that's around
that just plays so well with my dry, mature skin
and makeup especially.
Also, I did a whole video on prequel
and I just wanna go over the ones that I absolutely love.
There is the Milky Toner.
This is the Milky Acid Milk Peel
and it's the AMPM Exfoliant.
It's a huge bottle.
I think it's about seven, let me get the glasses.
I think it's about seven ounces, 7.6 ounces.
I've been using this on my arms
and on that chicken skin that you get
on your arms as you get older.
And I love it for that.
It is so good and big enough bottle
that you can go ahead and use it
and not feel guilty that you're having to buy
over and over again.
It's just really good.
You can use this on your face.
However, if you have sensitive skin,
be a little bit cautious.
You might only want to use this occasionally on your face.
But anybody that has oily skin
or skin that really is textured,
this is gonna help soften.
It's got all kinds of yummy acids in it.
Glycolic, filtic, malic, mandelic,
lactic enzymes and squalane.
It is just so, so good.
And I think you're gonna love it
on that skin that you get
that feels like it's wrinkly and kind of gatory.
I really like it a lot.
And then I also really fell in love
with the Half and Half Peptides
and Ceramides Fluid Moisturizer.
Now this one is so good for all my gals.
If you are oily combo all the way to normal dry,
I think that you will like this.
Two reasons.
Oily combo, you're not gonna need very much
and it's gonna balance your skin
so that the oils aren't peeking through
partway through the day.
If you're somebody that actually has very dry skin,
you can put a layer of this on
and then layer it again
or layer it under another moisturizer
that you like really well.
And it's gonna actually help boost that moisturizer.
Not only because it has peptides in it,
which are the building blocks of collagen,
but also because those ceramides hold in all the moisture.
This is a really good one.
And again, we've got a big bottle
so we can use this on our body if we want to.
Here's the difference in the size of the two.
I mostly use it on my face,
but I am absolutely loving it.
It's so good underneath my super duper
heavy moisturizer at night.
And then the last thing on prequels list
is the Urea Moisturizer.
This one is Urea Advanced Relief,
10% urea moisturizing milk for face and body.
Hydrates, gently exfoliates and smooths.
This is so good.
This is probably my new favorite moisturizer
for my body and for my feet.
Urea is one of those ingredients
that dermatologists will prescribe
for people that have diabetes
or they have sensitive skin issues
because it is very soothing.
But most of all, it is a power pack of moisturizer.
And it is beautiful also because it does provide
that just singular level of exfoliation
that most moisturizers cannot do.
And if you wanted to use this up under your eyes
or on top of your eyes,
yes, I do believe we need to exfoliate around there,
but we don't wanna get aggressive around our eyes.
We wanna be very gentle.
And that is what Urea offers
is to be very gentle on our skin.
And this one is so, so good.
You get a huge bottle of this one,
which I am loving as well, 13.5 fluid ounces.
How great is that?
I use this everywhere.
So I will use the Milky Toner underneath this Urea product.
And the two of them, my skin is so soft and so supple.
I appreciate this prequel line so much.
The last skincare item I'm gonna talk about
is from Numbuzin.
And you all know that I talk about this so much.
Numbuzin number nine,
it is a multi-peptide serum essence,
glow serum essence toner.
And it has NAD, PDRN, and 50 peptides,
not 15, not one, five, five, zero peptides.
And as you can tell, I'm out,
but I do have my backup right over here.
Very, very liquidy.
I took this on my trip down to Florida
and it was so humid that I had the hardest time.
So this was about all I needed,
but you can layer this as your first layer
before you start all of your other skincare.
And not only are you getting the moisture
to start your skincare out and plump up your skin like crazy,
but you're also getting all those wonderful peptides,
the NAD, that is the buzzword about skin's elasticity,
that ingredient helping skin's elasticity,
and also PDRN, which most mimics the moisture
that we all have on our skin barrier.
So this is an absolutely wonderful, wonderful essence,
and I highly recommend it to everybody.
And I have not had anybody come back
and say they didn't like it yet.
If you have purchased it
because of my recommendations in the past,
let us know all that in the comment section
so that everybody can hear your little testimonial
that does help everyone know whether or not
I'm just up here talking about something that doesn't work
or whether it really works.
So let us know down there if you wouldn't mind.
All right, I also did a hair tutorial for you.
That was my video a couple videos ago.
And I showed you this curling iron that I got.
I am loving this curling iron more and more.
It is a ceramic curling iron, but it has the long barrel.
And yes, this is a little bit more
than a drugstore curling iron.
I'm somebody that loves that spring-loaded clip wand
in a curling iron because that's how I learned
to do my hair way back in the 80s.
So this is one that I love
because it doesn't tug on the hair.
It really does slip through there,
and you can get such beautiful curls.
This is a 1 1⁄2-inch barrel.
It does have a setting that goes clear up to 450.
I keep mine on 370 or 380 on here.
You can turn it down if you need to,
and you can go up to the 450 if you need to.
However, I like to keep my settings
just a little bit cooler to protect my hair,
if at all possible.
But this one, because it's such a long barrel,
I can fit so much hair in there
that it just really has impressed me.
It is called Mint, M Mint, maybe just Mint.
It says Mint right here, but it also has an M.
It's just a really good curling iron
that has really been good on taking care
of my fine, limp, lifeless, stick-straight hair.
This product that I took on my trip with me
is a little jewelry organizer.
Look at how little that profile is.
Isn't that great?
But inside, you get all of these great organizer benefits.
You can put rings right here, earrings right here.
You have a pouch here, another pouch over here,
which I have an earring stuck on there.
Another pouch over here.
And then you have dividers and where you can put necklaces
and more elastics to hold down your jewelry.
This was great.
I fit so many pairs of earrings in here, so many necklaces,
and it was such an easy thing to pack.
And it kept everything organized and not in a tangled mess
like I normally have in the bottom of my suitcase
or my purse or whatever.
And I think that if you're going on a trip
or you just need some organization for the weekend,
wherever you're going,
that you would really enjoy having this.
I also would like to share with you
this just adorable little lighted jar set.
My decor in my house is farmhouse, rustic,
kind of shabby chic, eclectic.
But when I saw this, I thought it was so cute.
So it's mason jars right here
and they have the little twinkle lights down in there
and it has a battery that goes on it.
So you get the tray, you get the jars,
and you get the flowers.
It comes in a bunch of different colors.
I got the white, but it does come, I think,
in blue and pink and red.
And there's just a bunch of colors that you can get
that would probably fit into your decor.
And isn't it just the cutest darn thing
to have something like that as a centerpiece
or on a side table?
I just thought this was absolutely adorable.
And you just put it together in like five seconds
and then you have something that is there
and might be a conversation piece.
I just thought it was great.
And very quickly, I was gifted this little bag full
of goodies by Rare Beauty.
And they have come out with their liners, their eyeliners,
and they've also come out with a brown mascara.
And then they've also come out
with a new little eyeshadow palette.
And the eyeshadow palette is eight pans.
And this is what I have on my eyes today.
I mixed these two colors right here for a, oops, not those.
Yeah, those two colors right there for a transition shade.
And then I deepened up the outer corner
and then I used this on the lid.
I actually did use a little bit
of this really warm mahogany color too.
This is a beautiful palette.
It blends super easy.
I did this look so fast
and I really do like the quality of it.
I was surprised because the last one that she did,
I didn't think I liked the quality as much as I do this one.
So this is a really fun one.
And I will show you the eyeliners
because lately I have not been doing a lot
of liquid eyeliners, but there is the one.
And these do stay on a long time.
I did try it once.
I haven't tried it more than that.
You can do a really fine line if you want.
Glides very easy across the eye.
And then we have the brown mascara,
which I'm very excited to try.
Brown mascara, it can either be done really right
or really wrong.
It actually looks like it might be just a little bit
too light, but you know what?
When you're blonde and your skin is light,
a brown mascara can look really natural and really pretty.
I love her mascara, the black one.
They sent me that too.
I already have a black one and I have it open,
but this is a great mascara.
It is what I'm wearing today on my eyes.
And it's just one of those that really gives you
a lot of volume and you can build on it
without it looking clumpy or anything like that.
The wear time on it is fantastic.
And I haven't had any flaking or smudging at all with it.
So this is one of my favorite mascaras and fun
that they came out with the brown one too.
And that is it, I believe.
Wrapping everything up now.
I hope that you did enjoy seeing my monthly favorites
and I hope that you found some goodies this month.
If you did and you feel like we need to know about them,
let us know down in the comment section.
That would help out a lot.
I appreciate you stopping by and spending time with me.
And if you would hit the like button
and don't forget to subscribe.
If you're not subscribed already,
about 60% of you that come and watch my videos
don't subscribe.
So I would love to have you on board
as part of my YouTube family.
We have a great bunch of people here in this community.
Some supportive people of each other.
We try really hard to stay away from negativity.
There's too much of that going on in the world.
We don't need it here,
especially since beauty and makeup and all that
is just supposed to be fun.
It's not supposed to be that serious.
So I hope that you're all doing well.
I love you very much.
And please come and see me in my next video.
Goodbye, my friends.
