This is China's version of the Ferrari SUV.
If you've always wanted a Ferrari Puro Sangue,
but you didn't have half a million dollars lying around,
I got good news for you,
because this car starts at $35,000,
which is mind blowing to me,
because it doesn't look bad.
It's a very controversial car.
We're gonna go through all of it,
but it starts at 35K and it looks like this.
It's a long ass heads up display, pillar to pillar.
The lights, those are pretty familiar,
but I do like this little cross that they put there
and the shape, I mean,
this reeks of Ferrari Puro Sangue.
I mean, it's got this panel on the side,
the shape, the overall size, the inside is clean.
Touchscreen for the back,
but you can press that, sticks out,
and then it's basically like a phone.
I'm starting to see this more with Chinese cars.
So here, there's a sticker on there.
I don't wanna ruin it because it's a brand new car
and someone's gonna buy it,
but you know, you have your music,
you have your heat seating and all that stuff,
fans, your infotainment, your GPS,
and then to put it back,
you just lightly put it back like that.
Also, storage space down here.
I'm surprised more car brands
don't put storage space under the seats.
You also have, of course, standard cup holders,
but there's something nice about the way this feels.
I love the sunroof, all right?
The only problem with the sunroof
is that if you want to tint this,
it takes a long ass time.
It takes like a solid three minutes.
We were here like just holding the phone,
waiting for it, and I mean, you could fall asleep.
You could take a siesta waiting for this thing
to get fogged up.
And this both heats or cools your food or drinks,
which is interesting.
I've never had a heated beverage in my car.
Cooler, heard of that.
I think that's like for like kids
if they want like snacks or like baby formula.
I don't have kids,
but I think like milk needs to be like body temperature.
Now, a genuinely cool feature is,
you see this right here, the screen?
It's a long ass heads up display, pillar to pillar,
and it's impressive because it's very clear
and you can customize that.
This is your dark theme for your screens, whatever,
but you go to heads up display cards
and then you see that little otter.
I can swap him for like a capybara, just boom.
He's been replaced.
The music section, if I want the GPS there, for example,
I just drag and there's your GPS
and you know, here's your energy, whatever.
You can change just about everything.
You can even have preset ones.
The general feel of the inside is nice.
Like I'm touching the materials.
This doesn't feel cheap.
This feels like, you know, genuine good materials.
I like the cup holders.
They have a little elevator, which is nice.
Just feels premium.
The steering wheel is also nice.
Your drive mode is there,
so when you actually put it into sports plus,
you'll have different animations.
You see how it goes?
There you go.
Red is for sports plus
and it even tells you your horsepower.
So right there, 367 PS, 210, 408, 618, almost 700.
You can also raise the suspension by a lot.
So for example, if I go to low,
I can just go to high and that'll start raising.
This car will get a lot of controversy
because they ripped the design from Ferrari
and I totally agree.
However, for $35,000 starting price,
there's a lot going on that's nice.
And it's pretty surprising
because this is not some random knockoff brand,
like some fake brand.
This is Xiaomi and they made
the world's most powerful four door production car
with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
So it's legit.
The only thing that I don't get
is why they would just rip the look of another car back.
But let's ignore that for a second.
I know a lot of you guys are gonna be
a little bit upset about that.
But anyways, objectively, the shape is nice.
Obviously, they got some pretty good inspiration.
I do like the taillights wrapping around
and this specific version is the U7 Max.
They've also named this car the way that Apple does
because you can get basically the Xiaomi U7,
you can get the U7 Pro and you can get the U7 Max.
And for the max, for the 700 horsepower maxed out one,
it's $46,000, which is still a great price.
Not gonna lie, the pillar to pillar heads up display
is nice.
Now, me personally, and that's just me,
I have something against buying a car
that looks like it's a rip off of another one.
Even though I know Xiaomi is established,
they're making high quality products.
I'm just like that.
It's a little bit weird.
I know some people won't care.
Me, I probably wouldn't buy a car
that looks like another one.
But I have to say, if you're thinking objectively
and you can get the lookalike with Ferrari
out of your brain for $35,000 at a starting price,
this is a nice driving experience.
I'm trying to keep things objective.
By the way, this sold 240,000 units in the first 18 hours.
So there's definitely demand for it.
I don't think this is ever gonna make it to the US
and if it does, it'll have crazy tariffs.
But if you want a Ferrari Purosangue
but you don't want to drop half a million, there you go.
