Inside a 3 500 000 Brand New Luxury Penthouse in Ireland

Today we are in Hollywood. No, not Beverly Hills. We're actually in Belfast. In today's episode, we are taking a tour of this three and a half million pound penthouse here in Northern Ireland. I wanted to start the tour outside just to give you an idea of where we are. So follow me down here. So this is our Daven house. The original house is actually from the 1870s, but they've obviously restored it. It's gotten a lot bigger. On the first and second floors, there's actually four boutique apartments. They've all sold. But we are here to see the penthouse that takes up the entire top floor. Now, the original building actually dated back to the 1870s. And as you can see, you know, they rebuilt it in the style of it, paying homage to the original building. And we've got beautiful cornicing, sash windows, which are double glazed, black gutterings. Yeah, absolutely beautiful. As is the weather. This is amazing. Now, this area has actually been voted the best place to live in Northern Ireland by The Sunday Times. So I can't wait to go and explore the area. Just to my right, you've got three parking spaces. All right, follow me. So this is actually how you get into the property. There we go. So this is your communal area that you'll share. I mean, I wouldn't mind sharing this. This is beautiful. The flooring. I'm getting a slight touch of art deco with these light fixtures, but you can see how elegant it is. And again, very sympathetically done with the cornicing, very high ceilings. Now, to get to the top, you have a lift that will take you all the way to the penthouse. Nobody else can get there because I have a special key that takes me and nobody else all the way to the top. If I can put it in properly. And here we are straight into your penthouse. This is a really good size entrance. Thank you very much. To my left, we've got all the bedrooms. There are three to the right. We've got the kitchen, living, dining room, and I'm just going to put my coat away because we've got some lovely coat storage or the joinery and cabinetry is bespoke, as you'd expect. You've got some little LED lights as well, little touches. And just where Tom is, is the WC. But I'm going to take you straight through to my favorite room. Now, this is your main living area and you are going to get a lot of living done here. You've got a lounge to my left. Look how cozy that looks. Don't worry, we will be coming back. Then we have got the dining table, dining room. Even here, you have a little seating area that leads out into your terrace that wraps the entire way around. I'm going to take you straight through to the kitchen. Now, there's more to this kitchen than meets the eye. There's quite a few hidden doors, so I'll show you those very shortly. But first of all, let's address the obvious, shall we? We have got a really big kitchen island and interestingly, it actually doesn't have the hob here, which a lot of the time it does. It is on the back wall and I'm here for it. I actually think if you're going to have this apartment, I think it's a hosting apartment. You know, picture the scene. I'm chilling here, drink in hand, breakfast bar, all my friends chilling out, having some food. And I think on top, right? Well, hit it Tom, because you're going to be playing some great music as well. Yeah. There we go. Now, I don't know whether you can hear, the sound system is incredible. So it's Sonar sound system. But if we have a little look up, we've actually got these Clips speakers for the ultimate in audio experience. And that is so the party can continue wherever you are. I love these finishes as well. So we've got black matte finishes and fixtures. It's actually a cooker tap and this is decked in work top. So it's super compact and it kind of mimics natural marble, but it's stain resistant, a lot easier to maintain and really, really durable. Okay. I'm going to take you over here because behind these doors, we have a pantry. Look at this. Anything hidden. I enjoy a lot. So the lights obviously came on. We've got lots of hidden LED lights. I would say this is where you would just put all of your, you know, bits that you don't want anyone to see, but it's beautiful in here as pantries go. And you also have an inbuilt coffee machine. I mean, if you are a coffee connoisseur, look how fun this is. Just get a little closer for this. We've got favorites, classics. So I could, I had one earlier. It was delicious. All right. So let's back up. I'll take you across here. Now we do have a integrated Siemens appliances, which are really, really high spec. You've got your induction hop here with your extractor fan down here. And I, I just want to show you this lump. Absolutely stunning. Isn't that lavish for a kitchen? Beautiful. And then over here, we've got another hidden door that takes you into, wow, look at this, your own utility room. This is beautiful. It's all decked out in the same similar style as the kitchen. So all of this cabinetry, another sink here, you've got your Miele tumble dryer and washing machine, and it's the attention to detail here. So for instance, these have been raised up so you don't have to bend down. Coming out of here, it's going to close these that we've even got hidden storage behind the doors as well. They've thought of everything. Okay. Right here, we have a full height freezer. You've got full height fridge here as well, but most importantly, nestled in between is our wine fridge, which is stocked with champagne. We might have to pop one of those open a little bit later. I think so. Speaking of drinks, there are so many incredible places to go out in Belfast, pubs, restaurants as well. If you want to eat well, go to Belfast. It's such a vibrant city, so you're not going to be stuck on things to do there. And then over here, more hidden storage. This is all floor to ceiling, dark oak stained cabinetry, all bespoke, of course. And check this out. Absolutely incredible. What a wow moment. And you have an integrated bar. What did I say about hosting? Okay. You've got another fridge here, a little sink. Very fun. And it matches the vibe, the tone of this penthouse. Oh my God. I just love a bit of hidden storage. Like I said, we've got the breakfast bar. What's for? Oh my goodness. There's so many hidden bits. This, that is your door that takes you all the way downstairs. I know another access point, but we will cover that up. So you've just finished cooking up a storm in the kitchen. You're taking your aperitif over to the dining table. This is where you're going to eat. And it is flooded with natural light from this huge roof light with recessed led lighting that is just illuminates this space at nighttime. All of the soft furnishings and the furniture are included with the sale of the penthouse because it's all been bespoke designed by Garuda design. And they have done an amazing job. And the floor as well. It's so lavish. We have got 1200 by 1200 limestone slabs that really elevate this space because you've got less grouting. It just gives a nice slick and clean feeling to the floor. And it's these little touches that I like. So to keep it looking a little bit neater, they've actually hidden the just very elegant. And you've got your terrace out there. We'll show you that later. Moving into the living area, which is really nicely divided by this huge rug. And it is toasty, toasty warm. This is your eight foot bioethanol fire. That is a centerpiece, isn't it? I mean, we've only had this on for about 15 minutes and the room is boiling, which is good. But if it does get a little bit warm, you've got your air conditioning as well. We might actually need to put that on just to give you an idea of the proportions of this room. That TV is 75 inches, which is beautifully framed with that marble surround. And as any good media unit, you've got shelving to display your lovely ornaments. You've got your sonar soundbar as well. I mean, this is the perfect place to come and chill and watch a movie. And all of this is powered by KNX, which is like your smart home technology automation system that you can either do by command or your voice commands, or you've got iPads around each room. So whether it's the fire, the lighting, the climate, the curtains, you can control it so easily. Back into the entrance hallway, I did want to show you the WC. Funky, isn't it? Very nice. I wouldn't mind my guests using this. I mean, for instance, this is heated so it keeps your towels warm. And then depending on your toilet trip. Funny. Okay. And then back along here, the floor. So it's under floor heating actually throughout the entire apartment. And these are actually tiles, individual tiles, because it transfers the heat better than wood and it's easier to maintain. So I mentioned earlier, three bedrooms, principal over there, bedroom number two. But first of all, we're going to start in here at bedroom number one. Now, I mean, it looks good, but one of the coolest things about this bedroom is a rise and fall TV. Come on. It would be rude. God, it's a big bed, isn't it? Wow. Oh, it's so sumptuous. You wouldn't leave. Oh, look at this. Oh, goodness. Yeah. Do you know what? If we're going to do it, let's do it right. Oh, I should probably tell you a little bit more about the room, but I'm very comfortable. I'd rather not move. So I'll explain from here. We've got access to your terrace just out there. You've got, oh, you've got an en suite. Very nice en suite. Yeah. Big walk-in shower, as I remember. Very cool, funky tiling. And a sonar sound system in there as well. And in here, so you can boogie in the shower. But oh, so nice. Yeah. Right. I pulled myself out of that gorgeous bed and we're moving into bedroom number two. I just feel like I've come into a hotel room. It just feels very sumptuous in here. I mean, I love the colour palette throughout the whole property, but in here, it's very calming. We've got lovely neutral tones. This is almost like a champagne colour. And poor blimey, that's a whopper of a lampshade. Wow. We've also got one, two, three, four layers of pillows. It looks great, but that would take an awful long time to put away, wouldn't it? It looks great though. It does look great. Loads of storage, half hanging, very handy. And then another big TV, sonar system. Doesn't quite come out of the bed. That's fine. That's fine. And then we've got another en suite. It's a very similar style in here. You can feel that underfloor heating. I do like the difference between cosy carpet and then tiles in here. Again, really big slabs and a huge mirror with recess lighting. Very good mood lighting throughout this whole apartment. So yeah, nice. All right, we have left the best to last, the principal suite. Well, this is the height of sophistication. It feels really stately in here. And this is a big room, so much so it's actually been divided in two with this beautiful bespoke headboard. And I like the silvery tones in here. Yeah, it's another rise and fall TV. I won't put it on because I won't get out of bed, but that's what's in here. Nice and velvety. We've got these lovely plush heavy curtains as well, but there's more. Follow me around here because we have lots more storage, lots of storage and a very cute vanity station. So you can get ready here and then pick out what kind of outfits you want to wear. Oh, wow. That's good. Really high. Oh, can just about touch it. And then through here into an absolutely. I mean, that is a high tech toilet, isn't it? That is a really high. And apparently it's clean. Don't worry. That's heated. Good for your tush in the winter. And then we can get a close up. You can. There's other things you can do here. So I would show you, but you have to be sitting on it. You can you know, I think you can probably work out what these means. Heat. OK, look at this. I mean, they had a time of it getting this up here. Not surprisingly, but it's so worth it. This is one piece of marble. Oh, my goodness. Absolutely incredible. I mean, look at the ceiling height. And then this is actually an anti steam mirror. So for the guys out there, if you want to do a little bit of shave while you're singing because you've got the music on in here as well, you're shaving double basins, more of that lovely. So rather than the towel rail, this is really great to heat your towels. And it looks really nice as well. And in here you actually have an integrated TV and the cherry on top of the cake. You have a huge private terrace right off of your bedroom and you can enjoy this come rain or shine because you're essentially in your own sort of conservatory here. So you can close these up, put the heaters on. Absolutely beautiful. But if you're lucky like us on a stunning sunny day, the roof actually does open. Here we go. So cool. So you've got slatted roof there. You can enjoy the breeze. Oh, this is so nice. I can stand here and enjoy the beautiful views. I mean, we are surrounded by some of Northern Ireland's most beautiful landscapes. And we're actually in the middle of six acres of communal ground as well that we can all share such a community vibe here, because as part of our Devon estate, you've got the courtyard down here and some mansions down there. So, yeah, really lovely neighbors. Well, there's more of this. So let's go and explore the wraparound terrace. And I can tell you a bit more about the area. I mean, you wouldn't need to leave this apartment, but if you did, just over there is Belfast Lock. There's also a very posh yacht club. There are country walks. The beach is nearby. A lot of fun. Oh, my goodness. Wow. Look at this. You could bring your morning coffee out here or like a glass of wine in the evening and just enjoy this. Okay. Right. How do we get? Oh, look at this. Very handy. So if it is a bit chilly, you can just close these. All right. So moving around the corner, we've got another really big terrace here that is set up as more of a dining area, which is really handy because just through here you have the kitchen. So whether you're enjoying a summer's day and having lunch or maybe an evening barbecue, it's going to be really easy ferrying all of those drinks and that food through. I mean, this is the perfect place to host a party, isn't it? I can imagine people all the way around the terrace having such a good time. The music's going because obviously all of that's connected. The drinks are flowing and you can stay here all night. You don't have to worry about it getting cold. The heaters are on. Oh, my goodness. Not bad, is it?
