Flavien Coton vs Wen Ruibo | WS R32 | #WTTChongqing 2026

Up to the quarters, which then become best of seven games. Oh, look at dynamism from Wenrui Bo. To Wenrui Bo. There's the backhand I was talking about, it is really tremendous. Points off with the backhand. Reverse pendulum from Coton. Got on to the forehand. Nice push there from Wenrui Bo. Changpeng Huang, for example, aren't yet fully fledged. Oh, he plays the backhand. Oh, the net caught from Wenrui Bo. Unbelievable finish. The best rally coming last. Coton put a Federer backhand. Watch this. Last season, he nearly took out Changpeng. Championships have shown that they roll even deeper than we imagined. Speaking of deep, the Chinese... Somebody... Beautiful touch. Try to step into the backhand. Right into that crossover section. The point is a point. Oh, look at the speed. On which he gets into that backhand. Beautiful shots. Gripping the ball. We're going to see a rematch between Ugo Calderano and Chen Yuen Yu. Between Changpeng and Priyank Junkun. Wenrui Bo has received. Coton getting into that backhand flick. But it shows you, doesn't it, how close Coton is. To the LeBron brothers. Especially Alexi LeBron. What the future holds for him. But I'm sure we'll see him internally. And in leap late. Edge of the table there. Edge of the table. Smothering the table. The way he was gearing up for the serve, made it look like he was going to play a shovel serve. Contacting it near the centre of his bat. That's nice. It was just pinpoint, wasn't it? It just hovers in the air on Coton. That's a great push. Bit of fortune from Wenrui Bo. But that is world class from Flavio Coton. He could have been in all sorts of trouble. As impressive as the Chinese coaches hoped it would be. What a win for Wenrui Bo. Disappointment for the young Chinese star at the Singapore smash. But that was night and day. He dispatches the whiz kid from France. The 17 year old sensation. Flavio Coton flawlessly. In three straight games. And he's through to the round of 16 here. He's a newcomer at the champions tier. But he's announced himself in style.
