Opal Stitch | How to Crochet

The Opal Stitch crochet pattern creates a fabric with a subtle texture suitable for a wide range of crochet patterns.

The solid fabric is not too dense and the texture is all to the front side, although the back is pretty also!

To work the pattern you will alternate between rows of single crochet stitches and then rows featuring a mini bean stitch. The mini bean stitch is the same found in the popular Elizabeth Stitch crochet pattern.

This crochet pattern is written using American crochet terms.

For this tutorial I will be using a small amount of a worsted weight yarn (Dishie by WeCrochet) in a single colour and a 5mm crochet hook.
