Vlog: Hong Kong with my Brother, Food Trip, Bonding!

Hey there travelers It’s me again Doreen and we’re in Hong Kong Vince and I are meeting up this weekend—totally spontaneous trip And now we've just gotten airport express tickets We're taking the train to Kowloon because we're staying in the Tsim Sha Tsui area this time Actually spontaneous trips—especially last-minute ones—are so much fun going to Hong Kong is a blast because it's only one or two hours away Sometimes it's just two hours away even less And the food here is absolutely delicious And this is our family's parent-child vacation trip Just so much fun I'm traveling with my bro again We'really looking forward to a relaxed weekend Wow we're checking in I just wanted to share that this greeted us Wait—literally right beside the hotel So excited over there Finally made it to Marco's I've stayed here before I remember we did dito kami the next day during that bachelor sea camp That was pre-pandemic A long time ago But yes nice to be back Let's do a quick room tour Starting truly stunning The view Beautiful Nice to be back at TST I love this area too It's like all our favorite restaurants are right here We're heading to the mall It's super solid It's currently 7:15 PM We'll just tidy up quickly And then we're going to have dinner Looks like we're having dinner now One of these Come on No more dinner Straight to dessert Actually I'm really in Hong Kong This is one of the things I've always been looking for Yes it's really delicious So we're done here Great first meal Awesome I honestly recommend going as a group Actually there's so much delicious food But we available in September In all global stores Oh September long Yeah because he only sells it in Mexico Yes It's such a hassle No kidding Mexico the ultimate destination Sarot na eh Mexico Seriously So different Yes Ah air conditioning The best news today is that entry to M+ is free Bro asked the girl where we could buy tickets She said it's free today except for a certain area But most of the rooms here are free So we're in luck We're done at M+ The exhibits are impressive Always worth a visit My favorite was the room with the red dresses The way the strings fell was so beautiful Very interesting Now we're heading to get an Uber We'll stop by the hotel to leave a few things Head to Causeway Bay Kitchen one Roast goose wins every time And for my brother chicken thigh Also I remember Maggie and I already ate here The last time were in Hong Kong And it was incredibly delicious So we're back Rose this is your first time trying it After dessert Anyway happy meal Our lunch was absolutely delicious So we treated ourselves to dessert before strolling around Causeway Bay We saw this earlier because it's the exit This is the Causeway Bay Station And when you exit at the highest point That was the first one to congratulate us So yeah we're gonna give it a try We're just sharing And I'm sharing too Their public transportation is incredibly convenient here Seriously why can't delicious Hoboken is actually our family's favorite wonton spot around here One of the things we absolutely must try here in Causeway Bay is Mami and Daddy's favorite And there's so much Michelin Look it's a bit far but I hope you can see it Absolutely amazing dessert Even though Mom and Dad aren't with us As Uy representatives we' re here to enjoy some wonton noodles So excited Last one to finish gets dessert This is excellent So excellent The Causeway Bay So many memories but honestly I’ve circled around here so many times That city truly gives off an incredible energy We're back at the hotel and I treated myself to something Kanina when were walking around Causeway Bay I went inside I'm not sure if it's Kapok or Kapok—I think it's Kapok But Multi-Label and I went inside there last time I think I also got something there So super cute Since we just got back to Dommie House I really want to focus on making our home feel even more welcoming—because it already is But feeling we needed some kiting decor to really make it more us So the way we designed Dommie House our walls are a bit off-white cream We can have fun playing with colors when it comes to decor furniture and all that So I got myself this And I feel very us especially since we love food This is actually a flower vase obviously But it looks just like a bag of chips So I'm not going to open it anymore But it looks like this The bag of chips felt slightly crushed as if someone had stepped on it And then whenever people send us flowers or we buy flowers ourselves we just put them right in it Because it's your unconventional flower vase And also showing you what my brother got at Eslite Vince has always been real since I was young Kiyang Ever since were young She really loves collecting magazines at the end of books Magazines especially Some of them are true archives—like from way back You'really showing your age bro Sorry But yes he's a magazine collector He got this Monocle magazine Men's magazine The Japanese yeah Really really nice Brutus But I also subscribe to other magazines now which they publish quarterly instead of monthly like before Still it's so nice you know to collect them Anyway we're already done resting Now we're heading out for dinner Here we are at Tim's in Chuy So we won't just be passing through the area Just walk that's all Also wanted to share I really wanted to buy Frida's book Her thriller novels are truly amazing She’s probably already read four of her books But Lisa has plenty too So she’s not really a book lover Still we always borrow each other’s books Like Pat Lisa Nicole and me We really love passing books around So it turns out she has one too I only asked Nicole about it today So after her I'm the one borrowing About to have dinner at Social Place Apparently they have an excellent kitchen—one of the best There are just so many restaurants in Hong Kong that are incredibly delicious Guys I was genuinely shocked by the bowl I thought it was just a regular one Semi-heart attack Endless delays Last-minute shopping at Abso It's right next to Silvercord And they've got tons of brands here—super great And I'm about to get ready for bed Honestly the bed here at the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel is incredibly comfortable Vince and I have been sleeping so well But we extended by an hour because it's solid here Honestly if you want to stay in the Tsim Sha Tsui area this is really perfect All of Marco Polo is right here on this street Definitely worth staying Just wanted to share that I absolutely love spontaneous trips We booked this at the last minute and we’re so grateful to Bro for really connecting with us We still have a day and a half before heading back—just sharing I really do I told you I'm so lucky to have siblings I genuinely enjoy spending time with Anyway you might be wondering why I brushed my eyebrows and lashes I'm about to go to sleep But it's really because I got my care lips and care brows done by Strokes Beauty I just realized I haven't gotten my lashes or brows done in forever And it's so convenient to have these taken care of before your trip—or even just for daily life That's the thing about Kasi: it's one of the high-maintenance tasks that actually helps you stay low-maintenance That means I barely even need to put on makeup My eyebrows and lashes look good enough every day So I skip concealer cheek blush It's their double serum and it's really good for the skin Back to Chika Tomorrow will also be a breeze for us We have nothing scheduled We just want to wander around here And it's our top choice in Hong Kong Aside from being close to Manila it's truly one of our go-to destinations The food is delicious and the shopping is a blast It feels nostalgic like coming here with my family Even if we're not a complete family even if it's just me and my sister or me and Vince I'm really just saying that After serum Beauty of Dawson Absolutely lovely This is the Dynasty cream I usually use this in the mornings I've shared this before But for nighttime I prefer using thicker creams This is still lightweight compared to my other creams But I love it so much Plus it’s scent-free So it really just gets
